Ok everyone I know some of you may know about this, and some of you may not, but there is a way to watch Youtube videos on your WM6 device. And no, I'm not talking about the downloading, saving and relaunching way. It works the way it (more or less) should, you click the link and the video plays. Just use these two files that I'm posting for you. Here's all you have to do.
1. If you have a version TCPMP already installed, uninstall it. Then SOFT RESET!!!
2. Install the tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab file
3. Then install the FlashVideoBundle-v1-2.cab file.
4. SOFT RESET
5. Go to youtube and enjoy!

Does not work on mine
When trying to play You Tube on my TMO Wing, the windows media player opens and then a box opens with message "Unspecified error".
I get a message about not being able to open the file after I get a warning about a system command that might be harmful to run. It says that the file is not signed with a cleared certificate or that one of the components doesn't exist. It tells me to reinstall the components if the problem continues.
Hmmm, maybe I need to rename some files.
Did a little snooping with the explorer, but could not see any files that could be problematic, like language locked files.

Did you soft reset after installing the 2 cabs? Becuase if done right, Windows Media player wont be the default player for the files.
Storage Card
Would these work if I install them on a storage card?
I'm completely empty on storage space.

From what I've heard yes, but they both have to be installed onto the storage card. I don't have one yet so I can't confirm it.

Unfortunately on my Wing, windows media player still comes on when I click on a "You Tube" video within Internet Explorer. Then rtsp://rtsp.youtube.... then the Error Message.

soft reset is sticking the stylus in the little hole under the volume slider

You obviously didn't follow the instructions. Reread, and follow exactly.

i'm using this for 2 days now but i just don get the right settings for streaming! some videos plays perfectly, but some videos are just lagging..... is the problem the low 201MHZ processor or a false setting on my P4350???

It might be lagging just because the GPRS/Edge network you're on. Try it using a wi-fi connection, if it still lags, then I would suggest a couple of things:
1. Use the Quick Page Pool changer to change your Page Pool to 6MB to free up some RAM
and/or
2. Use Battery Status to overclock your device.

i have flash lite installed but stil not able to watch the video's any ideas. and also is there any p2p software for a ppc? and before i get flamed for warez i will soley using it to upload my own work to share with everyone else (video clips) and i have isdn at home so my phone internet is actualy faster.

the tcpmp program works great on that site, and it has all the videos youtube has, unlike the fake version iphones have that have like 2% of the videos, or youtube mobile.

a few of the cooked roms here offer youtube right out the box. the ones i know of so far are duttys v3 and soon to come v4...and q-mobile. you can even go straight to youtube.com and play it from there if you want. even if you get a link to a video in your email or text it will know its a youtube video and give you the option to play. the downside is...its a package for cooking roms. dutty tried to make a cab but it wasn't working. but if you use youtube and other video sites alot i suggest you flash to one of these roms...you'll be in heaven.

I'm getting youtube vids fine, and i use TCPMP with the FLV 0.4.2 plugin (not sure if that's the same thing, but if it is, you can shoot me for my lack of knowledge)
I Use the one from Dutty, and it works good.
I uninstall and reinstall also the dutty but it gave me same error.
Is the program should be installed on the pda memory or on the sd card?
Are you viewing them on the website or YouTubePocket?

Uninstall any versions of tcpmp & flash bundle, then Install the versions below - tcpmp first, then flash bundle, then soft rest. That's it - full youtube vids will work now.
is it working now for you? I mean, at this time. Isn't possible a problem on youtube? Isn't it?
I've got always same error as above... It seems it cannot handle video with the core player

Wow, I thought this was impossible. I've had Flash installed once and it froze the hell out of PIE and Opera. Maybe I'll try these and see what happens.
I should probably also ask what browser you are using? Opera Mini isn't cable of Java and flash right?
**UPDATE** Gave it a shot in Pocket IE ad it says Media file type not supported. I got Tcpmp installed as well, leats I think its a current version.
I'm using IE on wm6.

I experienced the same problem with the same configuration.
I think youtube's currently modifiying its way to display the video through
the desktop version of the website.
Unfortunately, the Htc device's owners (maybe the others mobile WM6 owners)
would not be able to display the youtube's video in the future.
I hope it will not the case !
I'm using WM6 with explorer on my xv6800. I removed all other TCPMP and Flash bundle versions and installed the ones that agrif78 provided earlier. Still sadly no dice. I still get the same errors whether I choose "play file" or "save file".

Ok I installed the newest version of vTap This little app will allow you to search specific videos and play them, so if you happen to know the title of a video clip you want to watch, this works great. It also displays the web address of where the video is located and I have successfully played some from the youtube. However it will not allow you to play videos directly from the website.(or at least if it does I have not figured it out, maybe someone could shed some light on that tidbit of info?) In short, you can seek out specific videos by title and watch them, but you still can not watch them directly from your web browser on the youtube site. But at least maybe I can still watch some of my favorite funnies until someone smarter than me comes up with a better solution. I'm pretty new with the whole smartphone and pda scene so if I have left out anything then please feel free to correct me. I hope maybe this has helped out some folks.

I have been using YOUTUBE on my HTC TYTN II since last two months through FlashVideoBundle.CAB and TCMP and it was working flawlessly until I checked yesterday.
Now I am not able to see any videos on www.ytpocket.com and moreover when I go to main www.youtube.com and click on a video and say either save or play it shows me error message “youtube swf args not found”.
Please help me to sort out this problem.

Are you sure it will not screw any existing applications as i was able to stream youtube before and apart from youtube i am still able to stream videos from other websites like goggle videos, VEOH videos, DIVX STAGE6 videos etc...
It is just a concern.....

I use TCMP and FlashVideoBundle for Stage 6, Just you need to associate divx files with TCMP.
Just as additional information, in the event that someone had the same problem as me.
I had problems through wifi where it failed to connect.
The phone had defaulted to trying to connect through "My ISP" in the streaming media app options. To get it working through wifi, just change the option to connect through "The Internet" and it goes for the wifi rather than the phone network (which I have disabled with Modaco".
I just tried m.youtube.com and everything works as usual. I use HTC Streaming Media, it intergrates with browser perfectly. You can find a cab floating somewhere on the forum.
Sorry to hijack the thread man, but I thought it might be better not to open a new one for a very similar problem.
I had to hard reset my device yesterday and then I've installed everything back.
Now youtube doesn't work as it is supposed to. When I'm watching a stream in landscape mode and I want to see it full screen, it rotates back to portrait.
Before the hard reset it was working just fine. What could it be?

hey guys, ive been reading ur treads and everything. i got all necesarry files on my phone to play youtube videos. but, when i enter any of the youtube pages u gave links to. and wanna open a film to se it. i get this message could not find the network.(the film always open in the phones media player)

No, not at this moment. I use coreplayer and it works fine. The preference are almost the same...

In fact I can install it but it's impossible to read MP4 videos.
Any idea ? Or the best will be to REALLY read MP4 videos with Window Media. That's still impossible despite what they said.

you could also have found it right away if you bothered reading my articles. I've also reported on the WM6-compliant version in some of my articles.

Same here. I even 'bothered' to read through all of Menneisyys articles and bibles and I couldn't find the solution in there either. Where would that be?

I installed the the TCPMP linked above and it works, in terms of turning on and playing media...
But i cannot get OPERA or IE to play videos on the TCPMP player. Both try to load windowsmobile media player... Wich obviously fails. How do i make TCPMP the default player for both browsers?
Black toolbar
Everything works, except the buttons in toolbar are hidden in black. Clicking on them still activate the functions, but just can't see it.
I had the same problem with crash.txt. I changed to the version for the diamond. No change. After playing around with it I found it to be one of the codec’s not compatible with wm6.1.
I uninstalled them 1 at a time and opened it until I found which one it was. Sorry can’t remember which 1 it was. (I use the core player now).

I searched but couldn't find. Does anyone else have a problem with distortion when enabling the equalizer? It's night and day difference and really bad.
