I tried posting this in the forum the file was originally in, but I was told that was a no no.
In the Dream android development forum here on xda there was an optimized Launcher.apk of approximately 200k. I have been unable to find that one with my lame search fu.
I believe it was heavily recompressed with optipng and had all but one wallpaper removed. all attempts by me to recreate it have failed. I PM'ed other devs who had done similar things with rosie.apk and they said they didn't do anything different than what I had so I'm not sure why i can't get it to work.

So I got a questions here, could not fine if it was posted so sorry if I'm asking same question.
Guys are coming up with there on themes for the touch flo, so was looking for a app to create my own theme.
Can someone send me in the right direction?

Fist thing to do is unzip a theme and look @ whats inside it's images, so you can mix and match other themes bare in mind that the .xml may be different so if mixing you need to keep same or learn .xml "more info via search"
Then you can use Photoshop\GIMP to edit parts of the theme and dump it all in the .zip.
Now you have a theme
hey is there anyone who can help me root my sprint hero cuz i have tried like 3 different ways and i keep getting stuck the best step by step i found was the market4android site but as im running the cmd i get up to the shell point then it tells me not found and i dont think it pushed the files over to my phones sdcard what am i doing wrong please help me it fustrating
What you need to do is figure out what firmware version you have and then use the search function of this board to find out how to root your version, the development forums on xda is not the place to be asking these kinds of trivial questions that can be easily found with search.

well perhaps if you had posted in the general or the questions and answers forum you could have saw threads about rooting.. but instead you posted on the dev forum....
This one worked for me when all else failed. I think it's the only one that works for android 2.1.

It seems that Titanium always says that it can't locate .apk file for AT&T stuff.
Anyone uninstalled it?
yup ... having the same issue
sure.. use root explorer... or actually read the first link in the froyo release which easily tells you how to remove the bloat.
Read the froyo threads as this is already discussed. Titanium backup needs to get updsted. Second, this is not a development question. Put threads where they belong. You didnt need to create a thread for this.

The themes and apps section isn't for requests like this it's for theme's and apps for this device. I've moved it to the Q&A forum as you're essentially asking a question. There are already posts in the other section with people talking about stock apps so you could've asked one of the people in there if they'd share them with you. Please don't post any more threads like this in the wrong sub-forums otherwise I'll just close and/or delete them.

I was told by Sony UK that there is an update coming for xperia t which will allow us to install those apps.

This is the thread to ask any questions about my ROM.
I made this thread in response to Svetius's PM to all RD's and RC's. Please see the message below.
I will no longer answer any questions about my ROM in the original thread. That is there for purely development posts. Any questions about flashing etc need to be here.

Sorry for the mass PM.
Lately we know a lot of you are getting annoyed by new users asking questions, and spamming development threads with these. We've listened, and we think we've worked out a way to help, but we'll need your assistance to make this work!
If you want users to be able to ask questions for your ROM, kernel, or other development, we would like to suggest you create a thread in the Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting forum for your device, using the same name as your main thread with perhaps a "[Q&A]" tag to preface the title, and link to this visibly in the first post of your development thread with a message like "For help, assistance, or if you have a question, use the (link)Help and Troubleshooting thread(/link)".
Then, it's up to you whether you want to spend time in the questions thread or if you want other XDA members to help to answer questions. Again, this is totally optional, but it might help in a big way to keep ROM threads focused and in fact might improve overall post quality across XDA, as most new members come to the site for help with a development work they've installed. If these questions annoy you, by directing them to another thread, we should help to preserve development threads free of silly repeat questions.
We are looking at ways to automate this for the future, but for now, it's something we'd like to try.

Currently I am looking at trying to get the new bootsplash to show. I changed from the boring xperia screen to a custom one, but it wont show.
Also, I want to find a way to clear data of the home screen / app drawer so that the empty placeholders do not show on a fresh install.

I think you will have to edit the launcher apk for that.

I thought that, any ideas of what to edit? I could just take the home.apk from a generic rom, but i like getting my fingers into it if you know what i mean...its all a learnign curve..

No sorry don't know what to edit. And since my phone is still in repair I can't even try out some stuff either.
You could try having a look in the other Xperia forums. Maybe someone asked that already once

OK, I have just got home after a weekend away with my scouts.
Has anyone still got any bugs with the home button on V1.3.0 or V1.3.1? As hard as I try I cannot reproduce that bug, it works fine for me, both on a clean install and after just flashing over v1.2.0
