if you like this so much, go buy a palm pre, palm is already pissed off about the devs here making themes that emulate the pre.
i played with the pre for about 45 minutes and ANDROID is the winner in my books.

Where did you hear that Palm was pissed about users of other phones making themes of their interface?
Palm sent an official letter to L3wish, the creator of the Pre theme. http://home.leakdroid.com/2009/08/1...lm-inc-email-released-to-the-public/#more-233

All the cooked ROMS based on this device have it .. Why not the original device ?
I dont think 'officially' that the facebook app is out yet. the ones you may have previously used wil be pre-release versions
Oh the App works fine .
It was the intergrated facebook picture and status update in TF3D I was refering too.
Its not been implemented but was on the pre release version ... I'm a bit miffed why not as it was cool .
I think the question why certain software is or is not on the device is always a personal one. Maybe not enough people are using facebook to make it generally available on all devices. I, for instance, wouldn't be using it, though it would consume space on my device. Bottom line: maybe they just chose to not include it.
Can't you install it from a cab?
Sorry I will make myself clearer
I have the Facebook Cab and it installs and works fine on the TD2
In Touch Flo 3D you have a contacts application . On the pre production version and the ROMS made from it there was an option to hook your contacts up to facebook so you could download your friends picture and status and this was then added to your contacts in the Touch Flo 3D application.
Its not been implemented . I just hope it is as it was a great feature and work brilliantly
I'd love to see that feature too.
Sounds like the Palm Pre would be right up your street with its synergy.

lol thanks
If you look on the Touch HD ROM dev the touch 3d its on there as they are using the Pre release Topaz and Rodium ROM to customise the Touch HD . I sold the Touch HD to buy the TD2 as the Touch HD is way too big.
As for the Palm Pre , i would like to see windows Mobile finally update the calendar to support multiple Calendars as the Pre, Blackberry and Iphone does .
There's some work on this very topic going on here....

Hello,
Thanks for the best theme out here
But the standard icons were bad and little things .
So here is my updatet version
All is like the newest darkstar but with new icons
and working advanced launcher
Some screens
And dont say uhh apple fan boy.
This arent apple icons this are nice icons which are simple but elegant
I hope anyone an metamorph this, because i cant
Download Not tested, sorry no time ( im sleepy ) but i think it works
I wish i had more hands....
To give this icon pack 4 thumbs down hahahaha. Jk its ok...looks like neon.
Lol that paper is a tad inappropriate
The icons are nice so sadly I will be using them.
i like....
simple is best...maybe thats where the similarities r with the iphone. android users need 2 at least acknowledge the fact our devices, even with the new nexus arent quite as aesthetically pleasing as the iphone YET (not taking anything away from the advantages of a android device over the iphone).
anyway...
doesnt boot on my phone...and i just switched my APPLE macbook (lol) to snow leopard via fresh install so i dont have adb setup 2 do it myself so hopefully u get this fixed.

Hey everyone, I was wondering what live wallpapers you guys have found that work on our phone.
Ones that I have found that work are:
Light Grid
Maps
Nexus Revamped
Star Wars ESB
The Matrix
Other cool ones like ParticleStorm, Solar Winds, VR Tunnel Lite won't work.
Loving the Livewallpapers on the Eris!!
Marc
For starters:
Android pissing apple (Tiny Wolf Studio)
Blue Flames (Raw Apps)
Sexy LWP's (RawThemes)
3D Koi Pond (A.O.l Studio
Starfield 3D (A.O.l Studio)
Avatar Trees (A.O.l Studio)
Starlight (Jason Allen)
Substrate (Moonblink)
UK Snow globe (mippin)
Shamrock (1473labs)
Radar Simple (Prokaryo)
LED scroller (DKIT Android Ltd)
Bezier (Per Jonsson)
Circles (Faiz Visram)
Space Junk (Access Lane, Inc.)
Green Live (iBog)
Flying Androids (Binesy)
Falling snow (Benjamin Rosseaux)
Beautiful live (Levelup Studio aka Beautiful widgets)
Bobs (per Johnsson)
Cube (Android Apps)
PhysX (Nils Schaetti)
Mystify (Discoversites)
Droid 2 eye (BetterYourDroid)
Droid X eye (BetterYourDroid)
Flying toast (UKLooney)
Nexus Revamped (Stealthcopter)
On Dubs (Black Market Apps)
Plasma (Casey Langen)
Shake Them All (Yougli)
Zoomfield (Kai Bjurman)
yes I've used all these and many more many times over including the cool ones that dont work due to incompatible resolutions like vr tunnel, seeds of life, circuit board, pano planet earth rot ect...you have to work your mojo to get them to stick and they often wont stick forever (just turning off your screen will cause many of these to revert back to your last static wallpaper) but they can be made to stick long enough to impress your friends. the ONLY live wallpaper I've tried that absolutely will not work is Silhouette. It does a funky split screen stuff that just wont behave no matter what. none of the samsung ports have ever worked on my phone either.
Thanks! Got some of these installed! Anyone else? Some really good ones there!
Marc
I was wondering if any of the aquarium LWP's worked. I tried the two aniPET ones, and they don't work, but the idea of having a virtual fish tank on your screen is kind of cool =]
Oh, and this one works too. Its the one I'm using right now. SMB FTW!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710647
Edit: just installed the New York Giants one from WebApse. I don't know if the other one worked (from SilentDesign I think), but this one does. Even though the Giants have been done since week 17...still gotta love it =]
Can anyone tell me where I can get these and how I install them ?

first phone must be rooted and loaded with a rom that support live wallpapers (most froyo and eclair roms at this point). All the ones I listed are directly from the android market and most free.
It seems hit or miss which work and which don't some of those on the list didn't want to work on my phone.
Peace

some may have been updated to higher resolution, unsupported openGL (beautiful widgets weather for one) but for the most part all should work. I'm curious to which ones on the list didn't work for you.
thanks for this list. been hit and miss for which ones work on my rom. but good resource.
any that have updated to OpenGL ES wont work or wont work well:
Beautiful Widgets (old works great but if you dont have it backed up cant get it)
Nexxus Revamped (same. old works great, new is OpenGL ES)
list will probably get larger. do NOT do update if you see the update includes OpenGL ES (both the above describe in update description).

I second this. It would be a great addition to my gallery and a nice change.
I remember a thread on here a while ago where people were theming to get the Windows Phone 7 look. There's now a launcher on the market called Launcher 7 that does most of the work for you, you should check it out.

Just tried it out. Its very smooth, and its the best one I have come across.
im enjoying this launcher, its really smooth.

Definitely. If there's one thing that I'd like to see more of on the Market, it's more "alternative" launchers like this. Launcher Pro, ADW, Go, etc. all have their differences, but they're more or less the same in that they're all plays off of the whole multiple homescreen and a dock thing. It's nice to see new ideas out there. I remember a while back there was a launcher that showed all of your texts, email, facebook notifications, etc. in kind of an agenda view. It never really took off, but it's good to see devs think outside the box about the homescreen.

Because thats the core of how android to this point is intended to work. I like Launcher7, its fast, smooth and functional so I play with it here and there but the tile UI is comparatively bland and boring even with widget support (and the custom ones I've seen that arent bland and boring are WAY too busy). I'm gonna put it on my wifes phone since she'll love the big ass simple tiles concept.

without using custom images those 2x1 and 1x1 tiles (and the headphone/camera images) are all there is. I'm not going to spend anytime importing images because I like my android phone as an android phone and it wont get any use anyway. I was basically showing how the UI looks unmolested.
I just saw the iOS 7 video, and I thought the parallax thing was pretty awesome. you guys think that this could happen with the android? or is there some hardware limitation?
and wow, other than the icon, I think the systems looks really aesthetic for the new iPhone. I'm sticking with my HTC One for another 2 years though
Traitor!
Sent from my brain to your eyes, to your brain, using my Galaxy S3, running Cm 10.1. I'm in your head now.
lol what? I'm not the one with an apple avatar jk
