Can someone please help me find this APK I would like it in JAC's 1.3 but don't want to have to flash all over again and run into nagging bootloops
...u cant get hero widgets on a cupcake build....
JACxHERO 1.3, I'm very aware thanks
if you found it on a rom, it should be inside as an apk file.
I thought you were refering to JACxRomv1.3, i didnt realize JACxHEROSkiv1.3 was out my bad.
I'm so sorry. I never thought that the APKS were in the ZIP files....... the more you know. Thank you

First of all im running the JAChero 2.7.3 and its a little sluggish. I noticed that the superlite JACHeroski 2.7.3 is supposed to run much faster due to the things taken out of it. Is it possible for me to remove some of the .apk and .odex of the stuff I dont use in the regular 2.7.3? If so is there anything else I would need to do. Also would this even help with the speed of it?
try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536710&highlight=jachero if you do not have adb you can use root explorer.
Isn't super lite the same thing without rosie?
You can just run the regular launcher instead of Rosie on the regular build and have the same thing as super lite.
Edit what you want, resign and flash.
Thanks for the help!!

thanks for the heads up on cyan's but im looking for dwangs the most... is it even possible? last time i checked it required a specific services.jar that i couldnt find....
By the way, what do you call them..metamorph files or metamorph themes?? Also, I'm on Super D 1.2, and I'm probably going to update to 1.3 tonight, but I wasn't sure if it matters what version, or what ROM you're on, whether it's Cyan. mod, Dwang, or Super D, Does it matter?

I think it matters because on cyanogen roms you need to get the themes specific for the cyanogen mod 4.XXX.XX so you need the theme for that specific rom. lol

Some MMs say "Any 1.6 rom"-"Any 2.0 Rom"-"Tested On Cyanogen 4.2.XX.X
Any Cyan MM can be applied to another donut rom.Since the only thing MM does is replace the images in the apk itself without touching any other files.
Thank you for the replies; I appreciate it.
I would be carefull with anything that touches services.jar or any .xml files as those can be rom-specific. Have a copy of stock theme of the rom you're on on sd just in case.
Good luck

If the theme says you have to use ahome or something, then yes you do, but ones like mine, which are MetaMorphs, you just apply them via the MetaMorph app and it makes it perm on your phone. Other types of themes are flash updates, again, making it perm on your phone. Major diff on MM and flash themes are MM only affects the pngs, where flash updates changes the whole apk so you could lose custom stuff you did to it before.
Just make sure you NAND before applying anything just on the off chance you dont like it or it messes your phone up.
I cant find many themes for metamorph any suggestions where to find?

There are 2 I have posted here that I know work for CM builds and Sprint Ports. As for others, look in the Hero thread. There are tons of them there that shold work as well. Trial and error is what I did to find out which ones worked for me and which ones didnt.
Stock Gingersense Debloated (For now)

i have removed MANY useless apps. tell me if i have forgotten anything."
as i have time i will try to update this but im really new to roms so i might need help.
Baised off of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087077
This has already been done. Liberation ROM by jaykresge here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087268
Unless you wanted add your own flavor or something
yah i think once i get down how to do it i will add my own flavor but for now i was also thinking of ADDING some apps (rom manager ect.) to make it easier. as i said this is my first rom though.
I think someone should make the stock gingersense with the new 3.0 lockscreen. The new beta gingersense 2.1/3.0 are laggy do to the higher demand on RAM
ill try that. i already deleted some of the APK's but ill see if i can get the 3.0 lockscreen working. thanks for the suggestion
You should give it a try
ok i just tried adding it. im doing a backup then i will see how it works.
EDIT: nvm i dound what i did wrong... i had it all in an extra folder XD

Its kinda hard to know whats wrong with your file. It would be easier to trouble shoot if you gave your steps step by step that you took to make/compile this. Without looking at your file I could take two guesses. 1. Its not zipped properly. 2. Your update-script is messed up somewhere. Check those. Then move forward from there.
Note: If you are using CWM3+ on your test phone then you will have to use edify scripting.
sucessfuly flashed it... booting right now and ill tell you my results
No go on the lockscreen. it just booted as vanilla.
This would be my suggestion. I like the 3.0 lock screen, but it seems to be a memory hog.
What I'd like to see in a 2.1 ROM
-Vanilla lockscreen.
-3.0 Notification bar with slight transparency - white.
-Lots of cool stock looking wallpapers and any other LWP if they don't lag.
-Our KB, not the one with arrows.
Just an over all smooth stock rom.
This is a 1.0 ROM. And to get vanilla in 2.1 go menu>settings>display>stock android lockscreen. Also, the arrows one is in 3.0.
The 3.0 lockscreen will likely never work on DInc GingerSense, unless your name is IHTFP69. It's just incompatible with Sense 1.0.
yea i figured that out... i changed the lockscreen APK and it put in in a bootloop
