Phone volume problem solved

Hi!
I love my Diamond, but it has one big problem - I wasn't able to hear it in noisy environments. I realized, that poor sound is somehow related with AudioPara3.csv file in Windows directory. I made some tests with this file and whoaaa... my phone is quite louder now. Now I wish to share it with you. Unzip the file, overwrite the old file with the new one in the Windows folder (make backup before) and soft reset the device. You must hear the difference..
I didn't test your file yet, I m sure it maye help, but I made some tests with CorePlayer by change the equalizer parameters and got little bit more volume but with distortion ,seems like the main problem is the speaker itself....
didn't hear any difference

AudioPara3.csv file contains volume and gain values for speaker and microphone. I've tested it, and by raising volume values to the maximum - nothing happened, by raising gain values to the maximum- volume is louder. IMO this is maximum, that Diamond's poor speaker can produce. I am satisfied with it, maybe someone can do more tests and get better result.
Btw, all sounds are louder now: ringtone, speakerphone, system volume, music playback, etc.

Same here. Any help please
Replace with Total Commander; Windows Explorer isnt working...
I tried this and it really sounds like massive quality loss. This has to be tweaked much more.
Thanks, will give it a try, as I just need little more volume from speakers.
Thanks! Will try this out. If it works out well I would love to see this tweak/fix implemented in some cooked ROM's ^^
EDIT: This works out great! A bit load sometimes, and I can't lower the volume, but atleast I hear the phone ringing now
Well i tested it , and it works .
Really loud ! , i had to lower the volume again ..
Nice work !.
Thanks tripp! It really works! I use it with SRS WOW in which gives my Diamond the loudest sound it ever had
This is awesome thanks a million.
It is reallyyyyy loud now.
Do these settings apply to ringer?
Thanks again very cool of you

VK
Thank you!
It works for me!
I don't have distortion problem. It is quite suitable for me.
mine is actually too loud, even on the lowest setting people around me can hear my conversation. can I use the same procedure to accomplish the opposite?
Excellent....
Definately looks like an enhancement worth carrying to the ACT and Diamond Tweaks...well done!

Xperia X1 Full Sound Boost Tweak

Well this is a simple tweak just the audio boost as a cab overwrites the audiopara3.csv and audiopara3_xc.csv to two new ones that are tweaked to full boost. Hope you like your new boosted sound.
anyone try this already?
Is it going to make the sound louder?
It has the audiopara3_xc.csv from optxperiabeta2 and audiopara3.csv edited by me to a full boost, only thing it does it overwrites this files, if you are not shure, make a backup of this two files first.
Very good !! I will try and amazing ... it boots sound in my Xperia X1.
Now i am use ROM : Touch X NUT, 6.1 !!!
Thank you again !!
Some one can test, if some one afraid, can backup 2 file Owner Topic said ( C:/Windows/ ) and can try to install --> Boots about 50% sound !!!
( I'm in Vietnam so English is bad )
i d installed optxperiabeta2. which had boosted the sound a lot. now i intslled this, sounded no louder than before for me anyways
works, thanks. Anyway its enough for me
will this work for Xperia x2? can someone check?
Hey it work for xperia x1i, install it since 28/3. Not problem for me.
X1 hardware will be having problem if I install?
read somewhere the optxperia did some damage to X1 hardware. Is it true ?
how to install those files?
please help me..

hi mate,
I've been using optxperiabeta2 for almost 1 year now and I never experience any hardware problem with it.
will this boost in call sound (headphone and loudspeaker) or just ringing sound....
hey works absolutely fine. thanks, this has really boosted my audio.
infact it is fantastic since the audioboost has happened with no effect to clarity. the clarity remains good if not better.
And the question again: what will this boost? Phone volume, ring volume, speaker volume, loudspeaker volume?
Thanks a lot! it works on my X1!
you should cafefully to use this tool!
when you use this tooth, i gave you a advise about problem of speaker. You shouldn't turn your volumn to 100%, it can make your speaker break down. it's my own experience.
I've used optxperiabeta2 before but it has also caused my vibrate to go crazy, vibrating like hell. So i'm not sure if there was some issue with my phone just the program itself. So i've never used it since that incident. But definitely makes the volume louder though.
Its realy perfect

[MOD] Sound fix for FreeXperia based ROMs

I don't usually post stuff like this, but I had a heck of a time trying to fix the sound issues I was having in all the custom ROMs I had tried. The problems I had were very low volumes through the headset and especially BT audio. I also had a whine coming from the speakerphone during calls. I thought I was going to have to go back to a stock ROM, but after an hour or two of experimentation I came up with an snd_soc_msm file that fixes all sound issues. It's basically a direct copy from a stock ROM (to increase the volume) with a modified "Speaker" volume to eliminate the whine.
Download:

Instructions:
Flash from recovery
So... Is it alive? Working? Good solution? Thanks
It works on CM10. Speaker now is much louder and clearer like on stock JB

Nicely done. Is there a way to get the headset volume higher? I use my phone in my car for music and for it to get as loud as I am wanting I have to have the volume all the way up on my phone and the volume on the stereo about 7/8 of the way up. I hate doing that and would like to just have a louder output signal.
If it is just a couple of values to adjust please let me what to look for and I have no problem doing so at my own risk.
Thank you

Yeah search for all of the ":6" or ":7" values and change those to something higher. I wouldn't go much higher though, and who knows what it would do to the internal amp. Also, if you're able to get the volume you want at 7/8 consider yourself lucky. I have to go all the way on my car stereo and it's only barely acceptable.

Thank you, I am just glancing through here and I do see a lot of value's with those two in them. Given that everything else on my phone sounds fine I am a little hesitant to raise every one of them. Do you think you could help me isolate the one that would specifically be for headphone audio out? I will raise it but just searching for those brings up way more then I believe need to be adjusted.
Thanks

That's all I would do. That's what I had to do to figure out which one to bring down to fix the speaker whine.
Edit: misread your statement. Basically you want to just do one at a time and see if it works.
Okay, man. Thank you and I will probably start going through them this evening. I am trying to figure out a way to have a controlled test so I know for sure which one it is. If I only do a little bit of each one it would be easy to mistakenly assume that it is the wrong one. I need a way of gauging my audio output to a speaker.... humm???

So I am messing around with this and am just using notepad++ I am wondering what file format would I save the file as once I have made changes? I dont think that a normal .txt is the right file type. Also, would I be able to just replace the original file using root explorer and a reboot or would I have to make it a flashable file? If it has to be flashed in CWM how would I compress it so that it is recognized by CWM?
Thanks in advance.

There is no file extension (linux doesn't care about this as much as windows). You can just drop it in with root explorer and then reboot.

Awesome, thank you. I will post back with any possible changes that I may find helpful.
Thanks again.
Well after messing around for a bit I did manage to get the sound louder but I ran into a problem. It seems like the internal amp kicks in and drops it all the way down probably to prevent any damage from occuring. I just ended up hoping all of the 6's to 7's. That's raises all of the Ringers and external volumes up to something a little more alerting.

guys, has someone running experimental build from 21st of August tried this file? If so, can you tell me if this modded file fixes also the echo problem during voice calls? I am trying it soon but echo was not always present so I am afraid I won't be able to determine this immediately and I can't wait to know that

I am running that but have modded it a little more. I do still have the echo that your referring to though. Not sure where it is or what would remove it so I have just been dealing with it.
Sorry.

Today I flashed new nightly (08092013) but not this fix and the other person said that he was hearing echo. With the older release the others was hearing me good. So, how to mod this file? I thisk it is changed from the older releases.

You can use it. It makes louder sound. Do carefully so it doesn't hurt your ears. Try 2x gain at first

I was not talking about headphone sound but speakers.. i'm actually happy with the sound of headphone ! Just speakers (when using no headphone) sometime i don't hear the notification sound or the ringtone .. cause the speaker sound is weak.. That's why i was thinking about something that can make it louder .. and maybe Viper4android will do the job ?

This make me have a serious question about what's wrong with mi3 quality control, bro. For me, the ringtone and notif sound is little too loud, even when I set the volume level just 3 stops from zero. But now you are saying that it's weak .
Are you sure it's all about volume? or maybe something else? Like bugs that make no notif or ringtone sometimes?
About v4a, I just tried it, and yes, I can confirm that It can make ringtone louder, by activate 'Speaker optimization' and 'extra loud ( max gain) option' :good:
