[ROM][NLD][27-5-2009] JoBoo WM 6.1 v.0.1 [Base 1.56.404.1, OS 5.2.20769]

Hi all,
Stopt the development to port the dutch topaz into a ROM because I haven got enough time to seriously work on it, and because there are a couple of Dutch ROM's out there that a lot better than mine.
This is my first attempt at cooking a ROM and i'd like to share my work with all of you.
It's a Dutch ROM based on version 1.56.404.1 (OS 5.2.20769)
Since I'm a n00b and this is still a work in progress, but it seems to be stable.I haven found any issues so far. I'd like to ask the Dutch speaking community to test this ROM, and report any issues or errors you may and probably will find.

[ROM][WWE][24.09.2009] Miri WM 6.1 21054 - MANILA 2.5 :: V 3.0 [DISCONTINUED]

Hi to all,
This ROM is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 build 21054.
This ROM started as an experiment to test if Manila 2.5 would work with Windows Mobile 6.1.
The result is wonderful, it works very fast and very well. I've optimised some packages from WM 6.5 and some are WM 6.1 compatible.
I've tested all I can and can say that it's very usable and fast for everyday use.
Base ROM: 1.59.709.0

Some things to know...
- Footprints tab does NOT work (you can remove it from Manila tabs)
- I have not included HTCMessaging because it's too buggy at the moment, so if you try to reply the SMS from Manila you will get a black page. To create/reply SMS use WM Messaging
This version will be updated when new Manila packages come out

This ROM is based on Windows Mobile 6.5 build 21885.
This ROM has Manila 2.1
I've modified a lot of things and made this ROM to run smooth and stable.
I've removed some applications that I don't consider much needed but anyway you can install them by cabs found on forum. All apps are included and the only one removed by me are: Jetcet..., BCR, CoPilot, Java
Base ROM: Official HTC WM 6.5 TEST ROM
This ROM is UC capable | Read more about UC
Remember to Hard Reset after flashing

Never mind MIRI....managed with Rapidshare. GREAT ROM - this is the first 6.5 ROM that I have really liked.
When would you upload v 1.1 with the fixes mentioned in post #2???

I have very good 3G coverage on my neighborhood, so the battery boogies easily couple of days under my heavy network usage. That's why I prefer push internet.

There is no Manila 2.6 at the moment...if you check the screenshot you will see that this is the so called "Manila 2.6"

Thanks for the welcome guys, now another story begins...as we will use only native 6.5 ROM/Drivers and 6.5 optimised apps, which work way better than on Blackstone, because of memory optimisations by HTC.

Of course that it does NOT go...we have to wait for HTC to do that, nothing can be done at the moment about this. Only Music and Pictures tab go in Landscape Animation when you rotate the device.

thanks for the answer miri... im just not familiar with 2.5 yet. ive tried flashing it one time on my tp2 but i hate it coz no landscape. so even sms/messaging there's no landscape??

I'm not having any problems with SMS, the interface is a bit slow but that's for now...on new releases I hope it will be speedier

Can you give us more info on the rom... active sync problem (solution: fixposition?) What pagepool etc..

Miri's ROMs are clean and very Stock in nature.
I keep the ROM mostly stock, but with few customizations.
PagePool is 24MB. I'm not sure how the Memory Management is going to be. I'm still learning.
ActiveSync is able to sync Contacts, Favourites. But Not the Calendar items and Contacts with Calendar items(Birthday, Anniversary). ActiveSync was working fine for me with 28014+Leo1.61. So I'm suspecting the new Manila. Not sure

New Communication Manager is included in this Manila. Had a issue with WiFi and fixed it. But forgot to check Bluetooth as I don't use it much. Will try to Fix this too.

FootPrints Fix & ActiveSync Issue
Uploaded the fix for FootPrints. Footprints work now.
Active Sync issue mentioned earlier is due to my outlook configurations. After I corrected my outlook, It works fine.

Excellent rom! Seems very quick indeed to me
A few observations:
1. Latest My Phone not included (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5111971&postcount=1)
2. Default WM 6.5.x softkey bar on startup, though you have included amarullz greenblack and blueblack (as in your screenshots)
3. No 3G icon in the comm manager
4. No task manager included; I'm using Xanny's modified Ameba 0.5b which works perfectly (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5073703&postcount=4)
5. Start>Settings points to manila settings (not a bug I know, but I prefer it to go to WM settings so I changed it with BsB tweak)
I am genuinely surprised by the speed. Excellent work!

xTep Ameba is already included from v1.0. To close app tap X. To minimize app tap and hold X. Tapping start icon open the honeycomb menu. Tapping and holding Start does nothing. Default Windows Taskmanager is included.

The WM 28xxx version without Manila is stable. The current version of Manila is not optimized for WM 28xxx builds. So running Manila 2.5 on WM 28xxx builds needs tweaks and improvements.
I'm not sure about the 21xxx series builds. But will give a try.
Since I have only one Blackstone with me, it may delay the release.

Thanks for all your efforts, I'm gonna give your 1.1 a try and see what its like. I will leave feedback.
IMHO you are filling a nice gap as most cooks seem to be going with the truely horrible strands of WM6.5 that have those bloody child-like buttons at the bottom of the manilla screen.
Keep it up please.
