Well, I don't have the Java app, but I guess any .jad file with its .jar companion should be it...

I deleted the java link in my program list of the start menu by accident . I want to put it back there but can't find the JAVA program and am still unsure how to create the link. I am sure that java is still on the tytn as I can start java applets.
Any advice how to create the link and where I can find Java program ?
try to search for the file with some file manager(total commander,...), it should be somewhere in windows folder
Found it ! When searching with Total Commander I found the program and a shortcut. Copied it back to windows/startmenu/programs.
Cheers !
My Java icon has disappeared from mu programs folder, and if i locate the java program using file explorer and the run it nothing happens Does anybody know if its possible to reinstall Java in anyway without me having to do a hard reset.
Thanks
Paul
How do you add/load Java games to the 8925 tilt which are (jar.) files? Also enabling the to launch through the Java Powered program installed on the device?
I've done it before but not lately and I don't have any .jar files on my phone so I can't test right this minute but try one of the following until it works
(1) Go into explorer and selected the .jar you want to install
(2) Start the Java program/utility and either
A - click on the .jar you want to install (if a list of .jar files is populated)
B - Click Menu > Install > Brower or Local Files
Someone else can chime in if you haven't figured it out yet

I just now ran through it to make sure I remembered what I used to know.
1. Make your self a folder (I call it Temp or the SD card).
2. Move the .jar and .jad (if you have a .jad) to that Temp folder.
3. Find the files with file exploere and tap the .jad or .jar if you have no .jad.
The game will "self install in to the Java folder in the \Windows\ root.
4. Some ROMs have no Java folder (.lnk) on the \Programs\ menu. A Java.lnk will be in the \Windows\ root though. Using Total Commander, copy the Java.lnk to the Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ folder.
Note: You don't need the .jad but it makes for more flawless installs. It contains the "road map" for the Java installer.
Hope that helps.
i tried it today and worked perfectly. dragged the .jar files and put it in my documents then i installed it and opened the java program and it was there.
but now im having a problem lol. i was going to remove one of my installed games, but then i accidentally uninstalled ALL my games, even the ones that came with the phone, i.e brain challenge, ms. pacman, solitare, etc.
i remember reading from somewhere that i can find all of those default games inside one .cab file. but i dont know where to find it in my phone.. or if someone has all the default games, do you mind sharing it with me.. thanks in advance!! need this asap lol
does it have sound?
are all jar files compatible?
It comes with JBlend default,
and most of jar files work on this.
you can try sun javafx.
JavaFX Mobile for Windows Mobile can be download in javafx.com
i use intent midlet manager
its the only one i can find where mig33 works.....and also can be installed on memory card
Ok so, my old HD crashed, completely unrecoverable. I now have a new laptop with W7HP. I set up the SDK folder and when I try to do ADB commands it fails. I get - ADB is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Can anyone help me?

R u in the sdk tools folder or have u set it up to run adb from any folder. If not that could be a reason why. Also make sure u install the Java jdk and jde files too.

In order for adb to work I believe u need to install the Java development kit and Java runtime environment. U can find them both at either the Java webisite (Google search for Java JdK) or in my thread everything android in the dev forum. Which is a package of all the tools u need to mess with ur phone. Either way I believe that the Java stuff needs to be put on first
You need to have the tool folder in the path setting on your computer and the android sdk installed.
Or actually be in the tool folder directly.
That should be all that's needed.

Found the Java stuff. do I extract it INTO the android tools folder or just right to the c Drive?
Just install java on your pc & make sure your path is set for the sdk & see where that puts you.
Sent from my phone.
had the same exact issue. all it did to fix it was:
re-unpack the sdk to the C:\ drive
install the HTC sync from the root thread you posted
REBOOT COMPUTER
plus in phone let it do its thing with drivers and such
and BOOM working.
