I'm wondering if others have encountered the same situation.
I am recently having plan change, so temporary I don't have call display.
So with MSVC enbled, and the "Accounce incoming call" option enabled. The BT headset won't play the ringtone at all. So I don't even know if my phone is ringing.
Right now I've turned that option off, so my phone will ring, and my BT headset will ring its own default ringtone.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Since I upgraded to Summiter's Test2 and now the multi-installer, I can not switch to phone handsfree. There is a button on the call status page that says "speaker on". It used to be I could press that and it would switch to speaker phone (away from BT). Now pressing that button does nothing.
The reason this is a problem is that it's easy to leave the BT headset in a different location than the phone. If I initiate a call from the phone, it automatically connects to the BT headset.
On recieving calls, I know to press the hard button for "talk" and it will let me use the phone in the traditional mode (even if the BT is connected). BUt when I initiate a call, I don't have any choice like that.
Thoughts? Am I the only one with this problem?

Curious if it works properly now with voice commands initiated and received over bluetooth plus incomming call announcements over bluetooth.

not really working for me, once I push the BT button - it ask for the command but the the BT disconnects ...
Works fine for me on my JX-10.
My Jabra BT8010 works well so far with voice command.
FYI; The default mode on the BT8010 is "music mode" This means if you push the large center BT8010 button into your head, it is the pause/play button for Media Player. Here's what you do.......
You have to press the (mode) button at the tip of the BT8010 once to turn off music mode. *icon will change on LCD screen) Now when you press the large center BT8010 button into your head, you'll then hear the voice command boobeep and it works great!
Turn on BT durring a call?
BT question:
Are we supposed to be able to activate our bluetooth headset durring a phone call already in progress? (you want to switch your headset on, in the midde of phone call) I was able to do this just fine on my iPAQ 6900. I noticed that if I activate bluetooth durring a phone call, the system/phone audio will not transfer to the bt headset unless I hang up the current phone call first. The system icon will show it's connected though! I then have to hang upt and call them back and my headset works as it should. This also happened on my 750 via WM5, but I was hoping the new 750 WM6 would fix this. (just updated)
Is this the same behavior for everyone else or is it somethign to do with my BT8010?
I can transfer calls to my Motorola H700 just fine, but I heard the BT8010 dont work quite right with WM. I was actually interested in getting the BT8010's pretty soon - how well does it work? Is the call transfering during a call problem the only thing you've encountered? I've heard it takes away your ringtone(only rings in the headset - not from the phone) can you turn a2dp on/off with ease?
I can turn on my bluetooth (Aliph Jawbone) during the middle of a call and it will transfer the call to the headset.
I can also use VoiceCommand over the bluetooth headset.

same for me with motorola BT (HS500).
Strange. Mine allows me to say the command ... just tried it and dialed out to my brother.
I figured it out, I need to hit the action button my jabra before the audio is transfered over to the headset. (durring an already active phone call with bt turned on later/in the middle of it) This makes sense, since it allows you to control when the audio switches over in case you're not ready. In the past it was automatic. I remember a few times not having my headset on so it's better this way anyway. Everything works great.
Well VC is halfway working for me so far with my MotoHS850... I can make calls by speaking the name and then it dials fine. But VC is not announcing the Caller via BT, although I have that selected under VC settings.
I am also getting this odd behavior I described in detail here: http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=149924
I cant even get it to work without a BT headset... think it is my accent though.
For me, everything works fine so far using a Jabra BT5020 except for one thing. When I activate VC via the headset I get the prompt over bluetooth but then silence. The prompt then repeats over the handset, and it is only then that I am able to initiate a voice command. If I try to do it at the first prompt over the headset, the command won't make it to the phone. The commands are also not repeating over the headset. Anyone else experiencing this?
Jawbone, HTC/Cingular Tilt Voice Commander not working for me...
I too am having difficulties to get the Jawbone to activate Voice Commander v1.60.4622.0. It will start to open the phone connection but then that's it.
Also MS Voice Command is suppose to do more like open apps.; calendar, contacts, etc... nothing happens.
I know MSVC works, when I hit the activation button I set (which happens to be the Windows Start menu) it then will do the typical VC beep and then allow me to speak my command.
I'm thinking it's more a Jawbone thing. I did have it working on my 8525 but I killed that thing.
BT and VC work fine for me using Jawbone. You need to look at the help file on the Palm relating to the VC proper usage as it did not really work for me until I did some reading. There are very specific words you must use to get it to work i.e. Open Contacts FAILS but Show Contacts succeeds. Then Show "conatct name" will show you the person you are looking for. As far as initiating a call via BT headset, I press the Jawbone side button this gives me a tone then a pause then another tone then you speak your instructions i.e. Call John Smith, there will be a pause while the app looks for John Smith, then it will repeat the name to you and ask if you want to call John Smith at Home, Work, or mobile depending on what you have saved for that particular contact. I have noticed it isn't perfect. If you have a contact with a phonetically difficult name it would be wise to change the contact name to Bob B instead of Bettencourt as at times the VC doesn't understand the name spoken. Overall it works pretty good, much better than my old Razr and there is no setup involved just say the name and go.
For some reason today MS Voice Command stopped announcing things such as messages and incoming phone calls. It wrked fine before, announced everything, but now when i get a call or message (vmail, txt, email) my headset will beep as iff it were about to anounce like it did before but then is just silent (i can hear the speaker active though as iff the bluetooth is active). I have everything checked to announce in the options and nothing has been changed but i am just wondering if anyone can help me solve this prob;em...ive also tried unchecking all options, soft resetting and then rechecking them all to no avail...
sorry guys i ended up finding a solution...my own idiocy lol
just bought a new bluetooth headset (jabra bt530) and now voice command won't announce calls through the headset. the phone rings and the headset also makes a sound to notify of a call, but it won't announce the caller's name. i can perform all other voice command functions from the headset.
everything worked fine with my last headset. and calls are announced when the headset is off so the phone isn't the problem. if it means anything, this headset has the wireless stereo profile.

Did you go into Voice Command Setting and Click Notifications and set it to announce over bluetooth?
You may search for the MSVC Tutorial Thread in The Kaiser Software Section.
I have to be a real newb...what is voice command?Where is it?
Its a program that you have to install unless you have it in your rom already, it allows you to COMPLETELY use you phone with voice commands. It requires no voice training at all, it works with microsoft's dynamic voice recognition.
fixed one problem and got another. using start>connections>bluetooth, i turned off the wireless stereo option and the headset started announcing calls. however, now the headset won't announce text messages. they'll just go through the phone speaker. this is weird.
i guess i could just use bt toggle to direct all audio to the headset but if there is any other way to fix it let me know.
problem solved. deleted the partnership and then paired it agan. but this time i immediately turned off the wireless stereo function. voila. everything comes thru the headset.

diar, how do you initiate MVC from your Jabra bt530. I get all notifications, just can't use it from my bluetooth. I tried holding the button, pressing it twice; nothing.
Help Help A list of MSVC
Does anyone now where in the internet a compleate list of all the voice commands. I have had no luck finding them.
T-mobile MDA Compact IV.
SwiftBL WWE 16mb v6.5
I have an 'iqua' fairly cheap bog standard bluetooth headset.
When I make a call with the headset connected it works fine. When I recieve a call, the ringing comes through the headset, but when I answer the call its coming through the speaker on the phone and not the headset. I have to hit options then hands free to get it working.
Very annoying when I'm driving because Tom Tom flashes back up before I even get the chance to enable the hands free...
Tried panosha's rom as well, same thing happens..
Anyone know an app or registry edit which will solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Bump. Should I just buy a different bluetooth ear piece?

I think yes. I have a Motorola bluetooth handsfree and it doesn't have this issue.
I have the same issue with my Jabra headset, a solution would be nice.
I'm having the same problem with a Sony headset.
You synchronize the headset and suspend the device. Once an incoming call arrives, the device wakes up, the headset rings (so it's working) but once you accept the call, it won't transmit the sound using the headset, you need to do it manually.
this sounds like a configuration/software problem, anyone has ideas, Please ?
with my jabra BT125 headset, if i press "answer call" on the phone, I'd have to go through menu and select handsfree. If I answer the call by pressing the button on my headset, then it routes to the headset. Have you try answering the call by pressing whichever button on your headset?

Yes i press the hardware button on my headset to answer it (which works). But it still doesn't enable the handsfree. Could this be related to the cyberon voice command ?
I'd like to share PTT hardware experiences with others in this group.
I know that there are more people who don't use AT&T PTT on their Tilts that those who do.
I know that PTT is not a service for everyone.
I'd like to discuss experiences with the PTT hardware, and not the PTT service itself.
For those of you who do use PTT on your Tilt, how many of you use it with bluetooth?
With Bluetooth on and paired, I've found that all notifications and sounds automatically get routed to the bluetooth headset.
I'm wondering if there is a way (maybe a registry hack) that will route the PTT alert tone (incoming PTT call) to the Tilt's speaker instead of the bluetooth headset.
I usually have bluetooth on and my headset paired. But I usually don't wear my headset all day long. When an I receive an incoming call, my Tilt rings, and an alert is heard on my headset. When I hear my phone ring, then I put my headset on and answer the call.
The problem with an incoming PTT call over bluetooth is that the PTT alert tone is not heard on the phone ... the alert is only heard over the headset. Without my headset on, I am not able to hear any PTT alert.
Routing the PTT alert tone to both the phone and the headset is what I'm looking for.
Any one here with additional thoughts or suggestions?
