I changed the rom on my touch diamond at the beginning of the year to one found on this site, it was much improved over the original. However now I want to unlock the handset from UK orange to allow a voda sim.
I tried the HTC Uni Unlock V1 but said I had the wrong firmware. Am I right in thinking that I need to downgrade the ROM before it can be unlocked?
Also is the orignal uk orange rom the wwe me one?
You'd of thought someone would of created a free unlock code tool by now lol

ROM has no effect on Sim unlock. There is a SIM unlock service for the Diamond available on this forum. There is a free solution but its not on the forum - can't link to it or give name as i'll get a ban. Google it and im sure you'll find it.

i bought a Orange SPV M700 when i've been in London to work, but now i'm living in italy and i would unlock to italian providers and debrand.
Is there anybody that could help me in this job?
Do i have to unlock first and then debrand(i found on ebay guys that sell unlocking software)with the italian ROM?
Could i use the HTC P3600(unbranded rom)without a previous unlocking?
Is it better to load the new rom with WM6 o wait for it and use the WM5 one?
I apologized for all these questions, but i'm new without experience in this field with this phone.

Hi, please be gentle I am new to this forum. I have a Tytn II sim locked to orange UK radio code 1.27.14.32. If I use the sim unlocker what radio code should I flash at the end of the process as I can not find the original code anywhere.

Hi and Welcome Howard,
Any WM6.0 Radio should be OK. Most can be found in the Kaiser Radio's link in my Sig (once the Wiki's back up and running).
Also, you would be best asking this question in the Appropriate SIM unlocker thread.

HI i have a 3G UK HTC krazair
Can any one help me in unlocking its SIM lock .
I tries to upgrade its rom with the latest diamond version .
But the sim lock is still there.

First off, this site is brilliant!!!!. Im a newbie to this rom lark & I need some help. My htc touch hd was originally on the uk oroange network. I have unloked it & now have my uk O2 sim inserted. Heres the problem, O2 do not support this handset. Im trying to remove the orange rom & install a new rom that will allow me to access more settings on my phone. Can anyone please let me know how to do this?

Easily done mate, just unluck device and flash your desired rom. Basically follow these instructions
Post any further queries in that thread
Also, a good rom to start off with would be one of NRG's, i.e. look at my sig

I couldn't find an answer to this question of mine throughout the whole forum. Maybe someone can shed some light on this matter for me.
I currently have a Rogers HTC One. I have a Virgin Mobile SIM card. I was wondering if I flash WWE or a Virgin Rom, would that allow me to use the my Virgin SIM card and all it's radiobands on my Rogers HTC One?

No, simlock is not like that. Buy a code on eBay or SIM unlocking site.
