NBA Game Time
This free app was released earlier today. I tried to download it but kept getting "Download Unsuccessful," which may be due to the fact that I'm running HTC Magic. Well, I just looked for it again in the market and try again when I couldn't find it.
Would anyone happen to have the apk I could download from here? It'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hey guys,
Just a quick one, NBA.com announced a new app for the G1:
http://www.nba.com/mobile/
Unfortunately it seems the link is broken when trying to download for anyone outside of the states. Would any kind hearted soul like to share this with the die hard Bulls fans outside of the state. Oh and possibly the other 31 teams other people may also unwilling choose to follow
It's a free app, so I would hope / think it should be ok no?
It is located in the private files so I don't think we can post it on here.
this app is so tight...i don't know if you could get it on here cause it's a protected app too. if theres a way you can hit me up and i'll see what i can do for you.

the dev's email is: [email protected]
The dev's phone number is:4048273915 (pretty sure is a US number so iif you not in US dial 1 first)

Lol... damn that's some personal information you got there
I shot him an email, don't think i'm gonna harass him with phone calls.. but would still love to get my hands on this app somehow?
Can rooted phones still not pull down the file correctly though?

Just a quick bump. NO idea why the Dev would disallow international users from downloading this free app. Anyone got a working APK?

Shoot me an instant message with your email, because I can 'forward' you something that mite help.
Thanks man, just PM'd you.
How I can get this app???
Where can I get this application from outside US?
Has anyone tried either - or, preferably, both - of these applications? I'm looking for something that can open Office files on the Android... How to they compare?
On another note - does anyone not in the US have experience in buying them? I would like to be legal and buy them - however, they don't show up on the Marketplace - I'm assuming that it's because I have an (unlocked) UK Phone with a Hungarian SIM card...
Thanks for the comments!
D
Get Documents To Go. Way better.
In QuickOffice, you can't edit your documents!
Aha!
An excellent point there - Documents to go it is
Now if someone can just point me in the direction of "how to buy - and I do actually want to buy - it when your marketplace doesn't support paid apps"
so you seriously want to pay the $20 for it?

Yeah $20 is pretty steep. Thats whats held me off.
had it been $10..i would have thought about it..$20 is way too much IMO

Want?
No, not really.
Will?
Yeah, as it's the only way I can actually see the attachments that people send me.
Can?
Nope. Paid apps don't show up on my market - it's either my UK phone, or my Hungarian SIM :S
I got DocumentsToGo... it's really cheap considering it is the only app that can do what it does.
i bet someone probably already shared it with the world on some "site"

I wasn't going to, but I did. True, it is the standard version now, but they promised a discount on upgrades. That's why I pulled the trigger and bought it. Their .pdf reader on Palm was nice.
I've used their Documents to Go for 6 years now. I was so grateful they came out with the Android version!
Documents to Go has been updated to version 2.0
100 times faster than before!
Aaand a free version for editing XLS(X) and DOC(X)!
I've been using Doc2go and there is nothing like it. Its a shame that google has yet to release a google documents app with offline support for android. It could have been a killer feature. OpenOffice.org should have released an app also, to get people familiar with their free office solutions on the desktop. I just read today that the thinkfree free office solution for the phone is coming out.
I remember when i had the T-Mobile DASH, I bought an app called SNIPER. What it pretty much did is detect all bluetooth's in the area where i was located and i was able to send messages with a hidden name to all the people that had there bluetooth on. Any chances of an app like that making its way to the android? or is the andriod still at a young stage for app like that to be coming out? im not saying it will be posted in the "MARKET" but i wonder if someone will ever make it and post it on sites like this or other sites? can i get some feedback on this?
Anyone? Does anyone know of what app I'm talking about? 200 something views and no feerd back?
341 views and yet anyone has to comment on this idea for an app? why is this? are you guys scared to comment? did i break the forms rules? (i hope i didn't) has no one ever used the app called SNIPER on there T-Mobile Dash? come on people i need feedback.

OMG!!!! someone knows what im talking about!!!!
Just like the other 300+ views. I'm viewing this post, however I will reply. Most people "Do Not" reply because they do not have anything to offer not because they don't want to, maybe its because they don't know.
why did you use that app? just to mess around with people?
doesn’t bluetooth need a pairing code to connect devices?
I used to use a app like that on my S60 phone, But you see as I remember it, the other person still had to accept that you were requesting a connection. Which that being said, I doubt many people really WANT to go bluetooth apps. I mean after that Virus thing.. would you trust someone sending you something?
I had sniper on my n95. For anybody that hasn`t heard of it, its a bluejacking application.
What we need is an app that can send a note via bluetooth.
I was hoping since BlueX was released a bluejacking program may be out soon.
oh BTW I notice Bluex`s next update may include a ftp browser over bluetooth. That would be great, means you could hack phones in a similar method to a samsung
I don't think the Android SDK even provides Bluetooth libraries yet.
Anyone try it?
I used it on WM 6.1 on my old Hermes 160 and i was very pleased.
Now i thinking to put it on Hero.
http://www.igomyway.com/android/en/

U need to buy an application...
Where can I buy the app. We don`t have access to paid apps in Norway.
Looks good, but can't find how to buy it?
mail has been send. i am waiting for answer .
Currently you cannot buy it separately, it is only available with "Samsung Galaxy Spica" as a free addition at a Hungarian mobile operator. Hopefully they will release as an individual product soon. I have no more info. http://www.igomyway.com/android/en/faq.html
There is not any info about required android version either.
as long as someone can get that kit... i think we can modify it to work in any language with any map.
any news on this?
MOD EDIT
warez is not allowed here in any way......link removed
How do you know that's for the Android?

I suggest you delete this post before you get a ban for promoting warez and then take a very good good look at the forum rules, especially #6!
The link there now is an apk, originally it was just a zip file...
MOD EDIT
helping with warez is also not allowed here on this form
installed the .apk. copied on the microSD a winmo kit without the .exe. it says "program database not found". but if the folder is named something other than "igo" it says please insert SD card.

Hope it gets cracked. Sorry if I'm breaking the rules (but I don't think I will because I'm just saying my opinion and not providing any links) ... WAREZ FOR THE WIN!

And you wonder why there's only a fraction of the number of developers for Android as there are for iPhone....
Why not try supporting developers, buy their software, and show your support? Maybe then we'll get quality apps.

there is no wondering for that. The reason is because the Iphone was out first and has more of the market...duh. The apps on the Iphone get warez too...you make it sound like only android apps only get warez.
Hi All
Is there a way to have the dailer suggest your contacts like on other Android devices? An example would be if you had a contact named "Sam".. you would just enter "726" on the dialer and Sam would be an option for you to select. Very handy, but seem to miss it on CM6.
Let me know if there are any solutions
Cheers!
Other android's dialers do this?
That's a feature that I miss from blackberry.
You just start typing somebody's name...
My brother paid for a dialer that does this.
Called atakephone or something like that.
There is also a pretty active thread for a dialer in the android apps forum here but i don't think that it's free either.

Thanks for the response! Do you have a link to that thread?
Im using the HTC DHD as well and it does exactly that.. I know the BBs do it too. Such a practical feature.. I could have sworn it was native to Android but now I'm thinking this may be HTC specific.
Sure here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784778&highlight=dialer
I would have posted it before but I was just leaving.
Here is the market link https://market.android.com/details?id=eir.dialer
This is the other one that I mentioned https://market.android.com/details?id=com.shsh.android.atakephone
Couple of freebies
Dialer One https://market.android.com/details?id=kz.mek.DialerOne
TouchPal Smart Dialer https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cootek.smartdialer
I am using Dailer One, never had a problem with this app
Upon doing that quick search, I think that I may try TouchPal Smart Dialer because it will also search through a person's company name while inserting numbers... I think. That's what I gather from the description.
This is mainly why my brother bought atakephone dialer.
