I am using cyan 4.0.4. Prior to rooting, I used OpenHome which allowed me to make the icon text background transparent (by default it's black). Is there anyway for me to achieve this without having to install OpenHome? I have searched all over this forum, googled it, etc and cannot find any info on it. Thanks in advance for any help!!
Since I haven't received a reply, I'm assuming there's not a way. Let me ask this. Is there any way to remove the text for desktop shortcuts completely?
I am curious about this also. I actually did not realize this was an option with open home. How do you do it with OH?
With OpenHome loaded, go to Settings, then Text Fonts & Color, then Edit Shortcut Text and Background. From the drop-menu, select either Background Color or Text Color then use the slider to set the Opaqueness to 0 for either or both

I know that the the Clock can be customized, as well as icons etc. Can the colour of the text counters be changed as well? I would like to change the colour of the text that I've circled on my home screen - can it be done? Would be nice to change to colour of the associated icon as well!
Thanks,
FrankyG
Do a search for HTCHome Configurator. It will do this for you.
No, I don't think it does. I've already got it installed (v 0.7) and it can't do what I've asked above.
I found this information about changing the background for the Start menu-program-thing; which works fine, however, i can't figure out how to change the color of the selection square and the text.
I'd like to get a gray gradient going, but won't be able to read black text.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

to change the background for the lock screen, which is actually the Info Screen, adjust the settings in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:InformationBox
The selection square color is the color set in COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT (which is defined in current homescreen or active scheme).
COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT is fot highlighted/selected item text.
(Im not 100% sure now, I havent edited colors in homescreen for some time.)
I'm trying to create a theme for android, I'm currently working on SuperE 1.0.2
I've made the notification bar black, but the problem is that the clock in the corner is still in black so you can't read the time.
i know that other themes (like darkstar)with black title bars have been able to turn that text white.
any help here?
Im having the same issue I cant see my clock because it and my bar are black. How can we fix this? thanks
same problem here
On the homescreen, hit menu-> settings-> spare parts. Scroll down to notifications and change the text color lol. It's a feature in CM5 based roms.
Hi
Would somebody (tell me how to/be kind enough to do it for me ) change a few things, I assume in SystemUI.apk. I have done some switching of icons to try and attain the GE/Holo Blue icon colours. I have done them all, at least the ones I need but I have 3 issues which go beyond my knowledge:
1) I want the status bar clock to match, it's currently white.
2) I want to hide my operator logo from the lockscreen and notification pulldown.
3) I would like my notification background to be a little transparent.
If somebody could help, with any of them, that would be great.
Thanks
Hey,
Im looking for an option to change one or several of the following options:
- change quick settings font color in notification panel
- change font color of app notifications
- set background color for app notifications only, not quick settings background
take a look at this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/KnWq2s1.png
I want to keep the blurred style with 100% transparency for the quick settings background. But the black text from app notifications is hard to read sometimes, so I would like to change that to white. If that's not possible, make quick settings font black as well. If that's not possible, add a white background to app notifications only.
I can't find anything how to do that. Hope somebody can help me out.
edit: SOLVED
wow, after searching for hours with no result, I found something shortly after I made this thread. I used this to achieve this
so you used this to change the background of the notifications from white to match your selected notification background? I have been trying to figure out how to make the notification background not white...

Well, yeah, I changed the notification background color with LPThemer, but that's not what this post was about and I did it because of another reason. I was just looking for something that allows me to change text color of notifications, because the default black looks ****ty with transparency. It's default black because the default background is white. I used Blurred System UI to make the background transparent as well as add the blurred effect. Then I used LPThemer to change notification text color to white. Then I noticed notifications background was still white (not transparent) in Lock Screen, but the text color remained white. It's hard to read white on white so I used LPThemer to change the background to a half-transparent black. This background is only displayed in lock screen though.

Sweet I think I'm going to do almost the exact thing you did because I can't stand the white background on notifications blinding me at night... Plus it just looks bad. Good to know I can change the font to color to something legible. Good job
Help me
