Jabra 800 .....interested again~~~...............
To be honest, I don't see any significant improvement, as far as the ability to answer a call. The call QUALITY seems to be improved, as well as the range. The biggest problems for me though, were that you cannot reliably answer the stupid phone from the headset (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't), and the lag time between answering the phone and being able to hear anything. Those have NOT changed, at least for me.
I have the same exact result with that CAB file. In fact, I am having more problems with answering a call from the headset than without this CAB installed, but there is a definite improvement in sound quality.
Hi
I Have had my PDA2K for nearly a year and I have to say it has been the most unreliable phone I have ever owned.
I have updated it with all the latest ROMs and STILL I get calls where th e other end cannot hear me, where I have to reboot because it runs out of some memory area and cannot enable Bluetooth, it crashes.
It won't reconnect to GPRS after a voice call, poor bluetooth reception, people complaining they can hear funny noises when I am on bluetooth need I go on?
I was thinking of getting the XDAIIi and using it on the Vodafone network but what I need to know is am I trading one problematic phone for another?
Once I am off the O2 network how do I get ROM upgrades what are the gotcha's that are going to get me?
THis may have been asked before but I could not see and any help would be gratefully accepted.
Robin
Robin,
XDA 2i is not much different than what you have, it just has an enhanced processor and is WIFI enabled, Thats all. It also depends upon the hardware, most of the people get lucky with good ones and few of them unlucky. but in the end of the day, the Key to keep these kind of phones clean and dont stuff too many softwares into it, if kept in original form they could do wonders too.
All the best
Regards
Kunal
Re: Is the XDA IIi really any more reliable than the PDA2K??

These are known issues with the Blue Angel. Carrier Devices is working on these issues now. I have no idea when they will be issuing an update. I can try my CD Contacts, but they are notorious for not answering e-mail...
Hi Chris thanks for the response.
So no real difference between IIs and IIi in reliability terms?
I don't suppose you know if the dock and USB cables are interchangeable between the IIs and IIi?

After loading to my trinity every rom with enabled GPS first I have WiFi speed 3-4 Mbps for both downloading/uploading, but after first use of GPS (I use iGO 2006) the speed reduced to 300-400 kbps. I'm flashind this rom again and my speed returned to 3-4 Mbps, runing GPS - 300-400 kbps. Closing GPS program doesn't help.
Has somebody same problem ?

What happens if you do a soft reset, does the wifi still have a slower speed before running gps?

Did you really CLOSE the GPS application? Remember: Tapping on X does NOT close the programm! Try CloseAll App which you can find via google.

Thanks for quick reply.
Unfortunately soft reset also doesn't change anything. Only loading rom.
What is speed through wlan of your device ?
I'm going to compare the registry before and after GPS use

Yes I did it. Also soft reset do it for sure.
I'm very sorry for disinformation but after more deeper testing is cleared that problem is Bluetooth and not GPS. After disabling it in CommManager wlan speed is returned back to normal rates.
Sorry again, I feel like idiot.
1) Hi mates i have upgraded my O2 XDA IIS to WM5. everything is working fine.
the problem is the bluetooth. that before i am sending files from all other mobiles. and now. i annot send files from any mobile to my XDA. device not recognized. but when i send file to other . then it work fine.
2) there is a data transfer speed problem too.
before the transfer speed of bluetoot is 10 to 15 kb/s and now its 1 to 2 kb/s. thats too much slow. i think maybe drivers problem.
so i need the solution for this.
maybe if changind drivers or registry will work.
please help.
Regards.
beam
make sure that beam is ticked under connection, bluetooth nor IR works if its not ticked
bro. there is only one option like this. and that is when we click the beam icon. its says " receive all incoming beams" and its only switched on the IRDA not bluetooth. i always uncheck this option when i was using wm2003 and bluetooth is working 100% fine and fast. and now it has problem.
if there is some final WM5 Rom released by Xplode or someone then send me the link and i will upgrade my O2 XDA IIS.
Regards.
yeah, In WM5 you are required to tick that if u want receive bluetooth or IR , thats hw it is
yeah thanks bro. its working now. but there is a speed issue. before the bluetooth speed is about 15kb to 10 kb random. and now its only 1 kb to max 2 kb. if you have some clue then please let me know. or maybe some driver problem.?

i am facing this problem too but on my prophet
speed is way too slow.. anyone knows how to fix this?
its depressing
Beam switches the OBEX protocol over IR or BT thats why you have problems with finding the device with another device
Does anyone have solution for this transfer speed problem??? i have the same and yet still looking for any solution...
I did some dslreports speed tests. With 2 or 3 bars of 3G service. My blackjack consistently got 700kbit to 1000kbit from dsl reports. I'm using one of the media max packages. The Title however is horribles low, even sluggish. I can't get over 103kbit per second. I verified this by running the Internet Sharking app in the windows directory on the device, and trying the same test via my laptops browser, again, horrible slow compared to my blackjack, by a factor of 10.
Anyone know why this would happen?
-James
I take it back, I popped my sim back into my blackjack and it to is now horribly slow on the internet, like the Tilt.
I ordered this Title on Friday, could anything have happened to my account or provisioning to cause this? I did not change my plan in any way.
I'm hoping it is just a temporary issue with 3G service in my area.
-James
I'm having an awful time with 3G on my Tytn II. I assume its the very old radio that has been used on it.
It seems slower than it should yes, people who got 700+ on their i600 dropped to 300 on the Kaiser, I've never seen better than 450, still a bit better than 3G I guess...
