I have noticed that everyone in the Xperia Rom developing is more interested in Touch FLo or Leo (new craze) but not the good old Titanium. Even though Titanium offers smoother flow, faster response and easily configurable Plugins, rom developers are more interested in including manila in their roms. Most of the roms with only Titanium are very good and fast, like NRG or itje or valkyre etc. All of their roms work perfect with Titanium but peoples still keep asking for Touch flo. Touch flow is full with bugs, it is an eye candy for sure but with lots of bugs.
Touch Flow good and bad
Good
• Eye candy
• Facebook integration
• Stock Market (for those who needs it)
• Media Player
• Footprint
When I saw Facebook integration in Touch Flow I though that I will be able to get the pictures of all my friends in facebook. Well the integration is REALLY BAD, it takes forever to load, and I don’t know why but some of my friends seem to have no picture in their profile! Now if you compare the Touch Flow integration with SPB mobile facebook integration then you will notice the difference, SPB facebook not only finds your friends profile pics but also all the profile pics he/she had.
Stock Market they have stock market for Titanium also.
The media player looks great but one of the biggest problem with it is that you can’t preview what music will be played after the one played right now. Whereas in Titanium you can just slide to the next music (just to see what its is) and then tap it twice to listen to it.
Footprint, well never used it so don’t even know what it is.
Bad
• There is no way to find plugins have to wait for the developers to come up with something
• Full of BUGs
• Takes up too much of the ram
Titanium good and bad
Good
• Smoother flow
• Low usage of ram, therefore faster
• Lots of plugins
• Better windows media player
Bad
• Narrow view of the selected plugin
• Not an eye candy
I think all gurus of rom here should pay some attention on Titanium and improve it.
I remember somebody put a request here asking for a School schedule program, but everybody is so into Touch Flow that they don’t even know what other programs are available for Titanium. I found exactly what he was asking for (I needed it too). And it is so cool! Exactly what I was looking (well it shows only four entries in a day that’s a total bugger).

For Profile pic I have installed the SPB 3.1 panel (so it is separate) and then get the picture of the person I want and go back to Titanium.
For the narrow view I tried some themes for Titanium and seems like the best one is “Titanium Shadow Neo Skin”. It not only increases the size of the view but also very attractive. Now here is the big problem it’s only for QVGA/WQVGA not WVGA. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the developer is going to make one either.
Ok so what do you think is better Touch Flow or Titanium??
The Titanium you have pictured loos different to the Titanium I have used bfore. Bear in mind that the last time I had a ROM with Titanium on was about 3 months ago. I use 6.1 now as the 6.5 ROMs I was using were so buggy. The thing I most hated about 6.5 (and i did truely hate it) was the start menu- particularly the fact how the icons were not arranged in straight lines, that really bugged me.
/rant
I've had a hard time choosing between the two. TouchFLO is nice, but not smooth at all. Titanium is nice, but not nearly as "pretty". Windows 6.5, although very nice, kills both with the fricken start bar at the bottom, basically rendering 1/8th of your screen useless.
mmm... spb mobile shell 3? I don't really need 6.5 at the moment with it. the only good thing abot it is fingerfriendly menus and message boxes. otherwise ms3 is the best gui for winmo imho. on xperia it eats no resources, speedy as hell, looks sweet and it's functional as well.
when i first got my xperia 1 week ago, the first thing i did was flashing i tried the TF3D interface and i hate it(2 days). i have been using titanium for 3 days and very happy with it

I totally agree with you, but you should try it as a panel, then you can just switch between them and show off you iphony friends .
The problem is the craze of Manila is drawing too attention amongst the developers. But is it that good? When we can modify the Titanium to a better one more easily (check the theme I put pictures of is as good as Touch FLow).
Btw if somebody want the cSchedule in english, I can explain how to convert it in english.
Yea, I basically stopped flashing ROMS b/c of all the slow buggy manilla stuff floating around. I don't know how anyone deals with it on a daily basis. I guess I'm one of the few that likes the SE Panels. I love PointUI, SPB3, and the medial panel way more than I could ever love Manilla.
For most people it's all about eye candy, isn't it.
I had some bugs with Titanium so I'm hoping for Itjes Leo to support landscape soon. I don't like these unfinished ROMs...
I rather stay with a fast and smooth 6.1 and SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 then.
Im not so fond of TouchFlo but Leo interests me again. I still hope for a very decent ROM : )
The theme of Titanium that I have mentioned in my first post (post #1) is, I think, a potential contender of the Touch Flow 3D. It's pretty I catchy and is very fast too.
Can somebody pls make this for WVGA version??? I know someone can.
Anybody knows where can I learn how to make my own theme for Titanium?? I think I can come up with better design then what they have now.
I used win 6.1 Manila 2.1 TF3D and since 3 days win 6.5 with chome.
All information I need is there in Chome (with some Titanium plugins)
chome Looks good and is very smooth and fast
win 6.5 with chome is def. faster in handling as TF3D and thats the reason why I use chome on my touch pro 2
here are very competent user whitch make tools like titanium weather, titanizer, titanium editor and so on.
With this plugins you can customize your chome home screen and thats very very beautiful thats what a win mobile user want .-)
Titanium isn't faster just because it's lower on ram?
Personally I like using both tf3d and titanium. But as said, titanium feels a bit faster and more efficient but tf3d gives more eye candy. Still, titanium looks pretty neat.

On the latest builds the bottom bar does not at all make the screen less useful since the top bar is decreased in size as much as the menu bar is increased.

Having the right chosen manila version and rom I don't encounter any bugs at all. Right now have turned off manila and using titanium. It's also nice when the pictures panel links HTCAlbum (although I know it can be fixed without having manila).
I can say that I also really like poinui and the media panel. The skype panel is pretty nice too.
lol i use none of them, i use iphonetoday..
id take titanium over manila if it looks like the first post, it looks good

you fail, i had an iphone and the inferface its kinda meh, the only thiing i like it is the simplisity of their settings. Winmo has a lot of options wich should be available because there are so many stupid people outside. TF3D is slow, inpractical, bulky and overrated, tituanium is much elegant.
So it seems like lot of people here like Titanium, I knew it. But does any body idea how can we get this theme ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3948173&postcount=35 ) working in Xperia??

So I have finally wrapped this up to a point where this project can be shared in all decency. I started this project with the Verizon theme from Archy. His Verizon Xen theme included a slightly modified version of this landscape theme.
It has been a B**** separating the landscape theme from the rest and I never would have succeeded if it weren't for the m9editor. It is still not completely bugfree (hence beta) and if anybody knows can help finishing this up then chefs and skinners will have a nice new landscape interface to integrate into their favorite devices.
Bugs/Impurities so far include:
- Weather will not be updated anymore (it freezes saying last update: -%d min ago) (fixed)
- VZAppzone has no functionality (fixed)
- IDS_LAUNCHBROWSER message (fixed)
- call history tab added (fixed)
- Background on all tabs not yet working (fixed)
- contacts tab empty (fixed)
- phone softkey non responsive in landscape mode. (never broken only because of yota contacts I think)
- when checking a mail, the mail closes for no apparent reason (still not clear if this it due to this app)
- in landscape mode the new application and the browser buttons will adopt the icon of the previously selected tab (fixed, thanks to probex)
So I guess a screenshot is appropriate:
I started off with a fairly neutral version off this theme, so that it will fit in with the unskinned HTC TF3D theme, but when this this theme is finalized others will come
We have come to be at beta 6 already, with a lot of help from Herg62123 and ITNV and most of the bugs are gone (if you find any more please report). But before I post a final I would like to try to change a couple of small things. I do think it would be nice to create a link to a winmo appstore, maybe Gecko (anybody else liking this?)
Change log:
- Beta 7: should work on any device, but it does change the portrait background to gray.
- Beta 8: fixes the wallpaper bug but only on the homescreen so far
- Beta 9: displays your old raphael background instead of the gray one.
- Beta 10: now fixes the landscape on all pages problem, but an old friend mister missing internet tab has made a reappearance. I stopped putting everyone who helped sorting out these files in the cab name, that was getting out of hand. I also have incorporated the Gecko Appstore in this release.
- Beta 11: Fixes the internet tab not being shown (thanks Showaco) and the link to the Gecko Appstore is now actually called Gecko (thanks ITNV). This is almost the final release, just a few minor changes and its up. It does however mess up my contacts cab (I use ROMeOS latest) but this has not been corroborated by others.
- Beta 11 (no background in all tabs) is exactly as beta 11 the same except for....
- Thanks to Dharvey the beta 11 is now also CFC and he uploaded beta 11 to another file host, check this post
- Beta 14.3: has a couple of under the hood changes (got rid of the VZapp.lnk) and mostly a restyled look (with a funny slider coding mishap somewhere) to resemble the original TF3D look a bit better. If anyone knows wherein the slider problem lies be sure to tell cause I haven't got the foggiest. Enjoy!
OK, Let me first and once more give a big thanks to Showaco, whoe helped a lot putting the final pieces back together. It now has a real nice "Original HTC" feeling. Make sure (don't know how how yet, think it has to do with regional settings) to set the clock to show time like xx-xx and not like x-xx,
because if not the time will not show on top of the image. As for HD landscape, I think with the new TP2 manila coming you have nothing to worry about, will still try but this a little beyond my skill level. Any way hope you like and it's been fun, 12

Will this work on ANY version of the Touch Pro? I don't have a verizon touch pro... i got mine straight from the HTC factory, before it hit any retailer. All other apps/tweaks seem to work just fine, but I noticed u mentioned a bug about not being able to use the VZPhone app, or something like that, so it got me wondering. Is this proprietary software for the verizon rom?

no I am not disturbed by not not having the weather in landscape mode just the message saying so. I read through your thread, do you now where the VZApp.lnk is coded into the manila, I'd rather change the link than the name of the shortcut. Like I said before you rock broheem, 12

try this cab 12
these files are only the files you have in your cab but these are cut from my v7b1 cab file.
it has my vzapp.lnk and manila (thanks to itnv and btprices great help) file in it.
right now vzapp.lnk points to notes.....if you want to change it copy any .lnk file (ie - youtube.lnk) out of windows and move it to another file other than windows. once in that folder rename that .lnk file to VZapp.lnk. then copy the new VZapp.lnk into windows (if asks to overwrite say yes). and you are now done.

Hi XDA Members
TF3D Retractable Manila Slide Bar is a mod for Rhodium Manila. It allow to retract manila slide bar in protrait mode like in landscape mode.
There's two versions. One for VGA that work fine, and one for the WVGA touch HD, but I can't test this one because I haven't a HD. Use it has your own risk. And please discuss about bug in the thread and give us screenshot.

The only issue is the one mentioned above, sometimes the weather tab's slider doesn't hide but other than that (which isn't bad at all, just requires an extra touch of the weather tab) it's great!
dwizzy130
So the only noticable issue I see...outside the weather issue.... and even then nothing I would normally even complain about is that when you go into the secondary menu's and it changes to a white slider. It automatically starts the small tab as black... and vise versa.. when you go from the secondary menu's to the main screen the small tab is white. Once you bring up the main menu slide it goes back to black though.
Also... when selecting the small tab to bring up the main slider it briefly flashes the small white tab.
I've posted a few pictures so you can see what I am talking about.

Dumb Question
Great Job to start off! I too like this concept better..
Now having said that.. can I actually use it?
the Thread says TF3D so does it work with the TF3D2 as well?
Edit: It works like a charm. Just installed it. Im gonna spread the word on this one in the EnergyROM thread. Im sure there will be loads of folks who will love this.
The only thing I see is.. with the slider bar minimized the real estate isnt really being used on the "Home" screen it just sits blank there.\
Awesome job once again.

I'm using TF3D2 and seems to work. Although I've had some issues so far with it not going away after selecting specific tabs. I'll list the issues in a few minutes
Edit: Okay so here's another small glitch... When sliding my finger across the tab for every tab it goes back to being small.. HOWEVER when you simply press the tab and dont slide your finger to it... example being you are on the calender tab and you just select the internet tab... the menu doesnt go down to the smaller size.
Known Bugs
Thanks for your reports.
I have update known bugs in the first post. I'm going to fix them as soon as possible.
bugs and other versions...
The only bug mentioned I experienced was the white.black switching color at times but no big deal really, prolly would never have noticed.
In relation to the post about this already being done by someone else, there are different apps that do the same thing for countless other criteria, they mostly meet different needs and one may work better on one device than another, that being said, I tried the other version first and did not like the results. I am sure this is because I am using a custom rom however, This version works for me just fine on NRG's Touch Pro rom whereas the other one gave me a completley messed up home screen and never actually minimized for me. Im sure it works for some people however, this is an example of why it is good to have more than one developers take on the same idea. Just my two cents.
After a month in development on my new Acer neoTouch S200 (a.k.a. Acer F1) and many long hours of tweaking and lost sleep, I present Neo's iPhone skin for WVGA phones! If you like this skin, please post your thoughts! Enjoy!

To install, you'll need to install Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 (WAD), and copy the iPhone OS themes into the WAD's theme folder. This was developed and tested on the Acer neoTouch S200 using WAD 2.2 build 1. Was also tested successfully using the latest WAD 2.5. Any questions, please post here and I'll try my best to answer them.
Download:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C45FAWUF
how to install into the phone?
You'll need to install Wisbar Advance Desktop 2.x first. And then find the Wisbar Advance Desktop folder in your programs folder, keep opening the folders until you find the "themes" folder. Then, just copy the "iPhone OS" and "iPhone OS Landscape" files into this themes folder. Now start/run Wisbar Advance Desktop, click and hold until a menu comes up. In that menu there should be a "settings" menu, and in that settings menu, there should be a "change theme" button. Hit that, and then select "iPhone OS" for the portrait theme, and "iPhone OS Landscape" for the landscape theme, click apply, and then you should be all set.
Some links from the buttons to programs might not work for you since I linked them to the programs I use. To point/link the buttons to programs of your choice, go into "auth mode" in WAD and then click and hold down on the button you wish to change, and a menu should come up, select edit script, and then there should be an option to link/launch a program of your choice when you click on the button. Enjoy!
hey download link is not working
Can anyone re upload the file.
the links dead.
I'm happy to see developement on this phone go go go XDA
Anyone know of a way that I can host the file on this forum, if not I'll fix the link later when I get some time, check back, thanks.
Do as follow :
Click here for the larger one. ^^
the file attachments failed because it is a 4.5 meg file, and the site only allows for a small attachment. Anyway, I've re-upped it to megaupload, they don't seem to have a limit, so the download link to megaupload in the original post should be fine now. If anyone runs into any problems, just let me know. Otherwise, please let me know if you like it and from what country you are located, enjoy!

Sorry, no time for a video review. As for the number of pages, if you open "author mode" in Wisbar Advance Desktop, you can create as many pages as you want. I just so happen to pick four because it is the easiest to get to with only one swipe in any direction.
Nice
Very nice! But changing page is a bit slow and also, when you slide page the dock doesn't stay . I have know how to do that the dock doesn't slide with it, but now it's a long time ago ^^".
PS : For some mirrors, here you got some : http://www.jheberg.com/download-CD8118DADDD1-themes.html. Behind the 2 ads, click "Télécharger" And wait 10 seconds .
For me it seems to crash after selecting iphone for portrait and landscape it crashed. I got my default windows theme back. and the top start bar keeps flashing and draining battery. I have an HTC HD2 wich is as well 480x800.
already tried a soft reset and reinstalling the app..
What can i do?
It looks great though on the picture!
EDIT:
When i choose the landscape mode for portrait i see half the skin.. but portrait for portrait doesn't work.
When i uesed bsb tweaks and i turn my phone over the landscape mode works but the shortcuts dont because i have a dutch rom.

Strange, I have it set up so that it stays when you slide/swipe. This can be easily done by going into "auth mode" and pinning the dock, the locking the 4 icons in the dock and pinning the notifiers. Then you should be all set and it will stay when you move between pages. Don't forget to pin from the background to the front, as in pin dock image first, and the notifiers last because the last thing you pin will be at the top. So if you pin the notifiers first, and then the dock, the dock will be on top blocking/hiding the notifiers and icons etc.
As for the slow slide animation, that's strange, I have no issues, pretty fast on mine. Could be processor related, as I'm running on the 1 gig Snapdragon that came with the Acer neoTouch. I don't really know the speed for other machines, as I had only my phone to develop it on. The only thing I can suggest is to go through your Wisbar settings and make sure to check all appropriate settings, and esp at the last tab about "running on low mem mode"... if you haven't unchecked that, then try unchecking it, restarting and see if that helps.

Hmm, not sure why it is not working for you, the only thing I can suggest, and this would probably be useful for anyone else experiencing any issues, is to try using WisBar Advance Desktop version 2.2 build 1 (the version I developed it on) or try a newer/latest version. I also tested the skin on the newest version, 2.5 or something and that worked fine also. Hopefully that should resolve your problems.
edit, it finally worked! many thanks!!

Nice Theme.
Just installed and started playing with this on an Omnia i8000. Nice job on it. Took me a little while to find my way in and can't work out how to get the Weather Icon working properly. Does it show updated data like the calender and clock or is it just a fixed icon display. Got most of the other bits linked to Samsungs Programs so that's great. Added in a Settings button to get me to the Settings pages easier. WAD is a good idea as well. Never tried it before and it's an interesting program.
Overall this is my favourite so far and I've been playing with lots of other (SPB Mobile Shell 3.5, PointUI, Samsung Widget Plus and of course TF3D).
Thanks for all your hard work.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I've always found Apple's software/concept/design to be superior to anything else, and Windows hardware likewise. So I always felt the iPhone skin on a Windows phone is the best of both worlds. Being a perfectionist with a graphics and technical background, all that really helped. I had to create, altar a lot of my own graphics for this theme in Photoshop.
Anyway to answer your question. I had the weather thing working, but decided to remove it because it was causing some issues once in a while, might not be a problem for you. You can certainly add it back if you wish by adding a weather item when in auth mode in WAD. If you have any questions, just let me know. It is always good to hear that people enjoy the skin, their thoughts and appreciation, so thanks for posting.
I present to you guys my first cooked ROM. This ROM is cooked for speed, and NOTHING else. It is based on the new AT&T Rom and has the AT&T keyboard layout. The ROM in its current state is stable and its FAST.
FIRST CHEF TO COOK OVERCLOCKING ROM. FASTEST ROM OUT THERE.
(Of course I didn't make the tool, but someone thinks I'm trying to take credit for it, so just so you know all credits for the OverClockTool goes to xda memeber iwfratz. Thanks bro!)
WORKS ON ALL TOUCH PRO 2's ON ANY CARRIER
For AT&T Tilt 2 users, after flashing, go to Start, Tools, ATT Keyboard. Soft reset and your layout will be fixed.
Thanks to ovi, Da_G, Livven, G-ThGraf, AngelDeath, Chainfire, no2chem, and anyone else who made my ROM possible.
BIG THANKS to Wild Child for holding my hand and walking me thru things haha - His ROM's are great, try them out.
I follow the K.I.S.S. moto:

I keep it simple and Optimize for speed.
I build my ROMs using this priority list:
1. Optimize for speed
2. Squash bugs before features
3. Add as much features as possible w/o sacrificing speed.
I am in need of beta testers and people who can help me fix bugs.
v0.15 BETA 3 - Dang it, its a speedboat!! 2017/2018 Hybrid with Overclocking and Non-Ovcerclocking Flavors!!! For more info, go to next post.
v0.15 BETA 2 - Still on the Euro base. Finally fixed themes. Keyboard layout switcher. Arkswitch cooked in. Went back to 6.5.5
v0.15 BETA 1 - Moved to Euro ROM base. No HTC Messaging. Temporarily cooking with 6.5 (21887). Shouldn't be any bugs.
v0.14 - Dialer fixed, cooked in XDA-UC. Check changelog for more info - WM 6.5.5 23563 (AT&T/2012 Manila)
v0.13 - MOST IF NOT EVERYTHING IS WORKING AND FIXED PLUS FASTER HTC MESSAGING!!! - WM 6.5.5 23563 (AT&T/2012 Manila)
v0.12 - First decent release WM 6.5.5 23563 (AT&T Manila)
v0.11 - Alpha developer testing build WM 6.5 21887 (AT&T Manila) - WM 6.5.5 23563 (2016 Manila)
v0.10 - Super mega alpha developer testing build - WM23563
I WILL NOT COOK 6.5 FOR NOW... ALREADY HAVE TOO MUCH ON MY PLATE.
I NOW HAVE OVERCLOCKING (DYNAMIC CLOCK) AND NON OVERCLOCKING FLAVORS
Overclocking versions run at 652.8 MHz. They have dynamic clock change, which means that under low CPU load, it reduces speed to save battery and when load increases, it steps up to a higher clock speed.
For the best experience please go to Start --> Tools --> OverClockTool-> OCT_GUI and set these values:
CPU Max: 710.4 (I use this value. It does not cause lockups for me. If you experience lockups, lower this value)
# steps: 1 (for battery saving) 0 (for best speed)
and tap on "set" and then on "exit GUI".
REMEMBER: If you set CPU Max too high, a hard reset maybe in your future. Crank up the speed by little notches and see what works best for you. 710 is what works for ME.
If you are using the non-overclocking version, then you don't have to worry about anything. It will run at stock speed.
FREE RAM AT FIRST BOOT: 93 MB
FREE RAM AFTER 3RD BOOT: 91MB.
There is two manila flavors on my ROM
There is the blue AT&T Manila or the Black stock Manila look
My builds have extra themes so they aren't too "boring"

Using FileServe since they give me $ (less than a cent) per download. If there is an issue with FileServe let me know and I'll do other mirrors.
Current known bugs (the ones in BOLD are of top priority):
Dumb hybrid manila issues.
Missing Arcsoft MMS.
Changelog:
8/14 - Overclocking and Non-Overclocking flavors added. 2017/2018 Hybrid manila. Changed to XPR compression.
8/14 - Cooked 6.5.5. Cooked in Arkswitch. Nice theme working now. Super fast. No bugs.
8/13 - Started new ROM off Euro base. Beta 1 release out. 100% stable and no apparent bugs.
8/7 - Last release based on the AT&T ROM base before I move onto the 2.07 Euro base. Fixed dialer, semi-improved startmenu layout, hybrid manila (2017 photos and pics tab for speed increase), lockups and SOD's reduced dramatically, XDA-UC cooked in, new taskbar icons, hero background, removed operator tab from AT&T manila, cooked in Google Maps. Definately give it a try
8/1 - Added Livven Hero Lockscreen, Enabled Coverflow in music tab, fixed automatic connection setup.
7/31 - Third time I started my kitchen from scratch. Fixed the keyboard layout for the AT&T Tilt 2 completely, removed AT&T crap, added Shake n Save
So you did it (^^,) Congrats and good luck bro!
Congrats..~ =D

I just tried your rom, its fast and all, but it has ALOT of extra junk programs I would never use.
If you could get rid of all that stuff and just put the basic programs on, I would stick with yours no problem.

ROM Tested.
hey bos..
i already flashed your ROM, and proved it is super fast.. (i thought b'coz it's a stock ROM )
currently i tried to find bugs in this ROM, but it is OK for now.. still didn't give me any problems.. tried to make a phone call, messaging, etc. it's ok though.
and i find that there's a bunch non-related apps that you should consider to remove (mostly of AT&T apps itself) e.g AT&T navigator, MSN apps, app centre, news break, PTT, vlingo voiceApp (dead app) & etc...
well, this is my opinion only, and i'm still searching if there's a lack of other issue related with your new ROM.. and will alert you about it..
i hope that u doing well for the next release.. (CAN'T WAIT TO FLASH, REALLY EXCITED)
P/S: i think after this i wanna compare your ROM with Energy.RHODIUM.23673.Sense2.5.Reference.Jul.24, just to see the difference from stability, speed, UI & etc..
This looks sexy!
My only request is XDA_UC, PIM Backup, and Swype (built in Swype always works better than cabs for some reason, imo)
Looking forward to this!
Just flashed your ROM. Will report back on thoughts.
Okay, so you've DEFINITELY gotten the whole speed thing down. This is definitely the fastest Sense 2.5/WinMo 6.5.x ROM I've used (I normally stay away from S2.5 and WM6.5.x). However, as stated before, there's a lot of bloatware and such. I haven't run into any bugs except for the landscape bug. So yeah dude, you're definitely on the right track, and definitely have the fastest ROM with Sense 2.5 that I have. Just remove the bloatware, and PLEASE make a 6.5 build (Not 6.5.x), and you'd have the perfect ROM.
Respect!

Thanks for the kind words. I will eventually build a 6.5 build, just not right now.
I will be doing nightly builds almost everyday from now on. I will set up a website where you can download the latest release.
To everyone, I'm cooking another build right now. It has a lot of bloatware erased and a manila fix (that hopefully works) alogn with SafeInboxExtender and other goodies like some speed up tweaks. It will be ready soon
Wow you actually are a chef now Just like that
I am downloading it now. I'll gladly be one of your testers. Your going after the things I like.
User friendly (new UI and sense) and speed. And keep it simple as possible. Ill post when I have something.
From what people are saying I will most def flash the next biuld as soon as it comes out.
Keep up the good work.
Man you guys are tough!! Give the dude a break. Its his first time in the kitchen starting with a leaked ROM as a base!! Show some patience LOL.
Keep going Gonzo...looks like you're headed in the right direction
so this is what i have been messing with for the past few days since i think not so super froyo has hit a point that im happy with for the moment
my goal with this build is to get rid of as much of the unneeded apps as possible and shrink the system down as small as it can.
things that are removed from the initial install that are in fresh froyo
-HTC_IME
-Gmail, google search, voice search and pretty much every other google app that can now be installed from the market
-as always live wallpapers and launcher 2 are gone
- the how to use android widget
- their are no other wallpapers or galleries installed on this build too their are plenty of the apps on the market for that
- THIS BUILD IS ENGLISH AND SPANISH ONLY!
things that are in it
- a new blue theme i have been working on (some of the .png's are from losteden, vellowax and some other various themes), its pretty close to perfect but their might be a few hiccups still
- ADW is still the launcher of choice and its still in /data for easy removal
- a different themed clock
- zip align on first boot
- astro and rogue tools are both installed in /data
known issues
- ADW still does the could not load widget error like in Not so super
I was going to odex this build but wasnt able to get the ADB driver to work correctly (if somebody does manage to get it Odex'd feel free to post it)
Also this was merely a test to see how light i could get it and it ended up being decently stable, i don't know how much updating i am going to do to it.
RLS2
-car home and car home launcher removed
-music player removed as their are tons of replacements in the market
- now odex'd
New in odex'd RLS3
-street.apk is now removed since maps is also gone
- voicedialer is also gone seeing at the newest version of voice search on the market can voice dial also it seems pointless
- lowered the volume on the camera shutter noise
RLS4
- newer version of fresh froyo (thanks scooter)
- Now using ADW standalone with a myn warm twopointtwo inspired look
- Flutey phone ringtone now include by default
- different wallpaper this time around
- bright blue themed desk clock
- more "sensible" notification drawer
RLS5
-fixed facebook sync
-fixed the graphical issue with the status bar highlights being green instead of blue
-added the blue keyboard from my Galaxy S theme/port (delete key is a little small but the keyboard file size is overall smaller.
-new boot animation that goes better with the theme

DOWNLOAD RLS1 DEODEX
here is an odex'd version of the build, the music player is also removed seeing as there are a ton of free options for that on the market that do it better
also this is untested as far as data and sms, it should work fine ( i did check to make sure there was not a call hang issue)

right on good job, i was wondering how long before someone would make a stripped down version. ive been using
Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2.1 [Deodexed] [RLS13] and removed all the same aps you have aswell as camera, bluetooth, car home rogue tools..think thats it....ive also installed 2-3 apps. i managed to have 37mb free after boot up but it slowly works its way down to 20-27mb throughout the day even with closing all open applications and emptying caches....once i reboot its fine again..
do you happen to know how much space if freed up on nand on this?
im digging the blue theme too
I understand that ADW is your launcher of choice, but in a build like this, meant for speed and being light weight why wouldn't you use LauncherPro? Again, I know it's your preference but it's just a thought. The fact that it can be removed easily is great as well as I'll be grabbing LauncherPro after the install. I just always thought ADW was a bit slower than LauncherPro. Anyways, thanks for this! I was waiting for a build like this and the closest was freshFroyo which was a little too bland
thoughtlesskyle,
I like your ROMs, each new release is faster and nicer
Could you add a more advance power control widget like the CyanogenMod ROM?
Could you add some advance settings similar as the CyanogenMod Settings?
Keep going on with the good stuff.
Love this build, light and fast! The blue theme is soo refreshing especially in the messaging app, i got sooo bored of the grey and black.
I really like the blue theme including the notification bar with battery indicator, any way to use it on your main rls? Can you post an update?

my reasoning for using adw is simple, so version 1.1.5 doesnt feel too clunky too me and also i feel that launcher pro takes away alot of functionality unless you buy the full version, things like resizing widgets and that stuff are all locked in the free version where as ADW doesnt have that issue

as far as adding those settings i dont think i can CM builds are built off a modified source code, so like they dont use a services.jar for theming and stuff
what i can do though is i can strip down a version of the CM6 port and theme it you will just have to to adjust the clock color and notification ticker color in CM settings
and last but not least any apps you guys would like to see removed for a next build?
and im really glad you all like it, and the total file size of this androidinstall.tar is 69.5MB's Not So Super 91.2 all languages, so a considerable space savings

look in the market for an app called hot reboot, it reboots just the shell of android (closes all apps and processes just like a restart) and takes just a few seconds

my reasoning for using adw is simple, so version 1.1.5 doesnt feel too clunky too me and also i feel that launcher pro takes away alot of functionality unless you buy the full version, things like resizing widgets and that stuff are all locked in the free version where as ADW doesnt have that issue

Ah, makes sense. I tend to forget about these things considering I bought launcherpro. Again, thanks fr this ROM. It is really stable and really fast.

I love having stripped down builds, but the HTC_IME is a must for me. I think that's the only thing holding me back from trying this (currently using your rls17).
Is there an apk for the HTC_IME (for 240x320 resolution) around anywhere? All the HTC_IME apk's I keep finding are the wrong resolution and look like crap on 240x320.
Or is there some other way to install the HTC_IME other than through an apk?
Edit: I think I found it in the system apps. I'll just try throwing it into this build and seeing if that works. Haha!

and last but not least any apps you guys would like to see removed for a next build?
and im really glad you all like it, and the total file size of this androidinstall.tar is 69.5MB's Not So Super 91.2 all languages, so a considerable space savings

Are you going to release an all language version?
It's not easy to type a SMS in dutch (or other language) because of T9 is always on.

i didnt plan on making a full language one only because it would take up alot more space on the system, did you try turning the text prediction off in settings?
and if enough people want all languages i can do it but like i said this was kind of a one off project, and im also still playing with it to see what else i can strip out

Do you know which files I need to add or update for all languages?
What I found with comparing fresh froyo the EU and ALL are the following files:
system\framework\framework-res.apk
..\resources.arsc
..\META-INF\CERT.SF
..\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF
..\res\raw-*
system\lib\libicudata.so
* all languages
I thought that the resources.arsc is modified for 1% battery in your EU ROM.
May be someone can do the same modification in the resources.arsc of the ALL Language ROM.

vellowax attempted to make the changes to the all languages, and it caused a bootloop everything i have tried has cause a bootloop too, this is why the kaiser version of not so super is a work around

Cool. Adding in the htcime from your Not So Super Froyo ROM worked, but I'll use this from now on.
Thanks!

I had the same problem, therefor I ask this if someone knows how to do this without bootloop.
