Would anyone out there have the test version of flyscreen? I'm dying to try it out!
Damn, I thought you were saying you HAD the apk.
I signed up, but haven't received anything yet.
I have it but it wont work fully unless they sent it to I have been trying.

What does work?
wouldn't flyscreen KILL the g1 battery?
Well the lockscreen it self works but widgets cant be added since a account cant be created which is needed but you can run it as normal.

If you have the newest version then I would be very happy if you could share it.
If you want flyscreen to work it's easy. Loan a Nokia with Symbian. Download and sign up as a new user with the Nokia. Use that username and password with the Android version.

The copy I have found works with the widgets. What I did was went to the flyscreen website, signed up to be on the beta test and then installed the flyscreen.apk I found online. Then I used my phone number and password that I specified to use for the beta and it loaded up with no problem for me. Had a few force closes here and there but other than that I enjoyed it.
Here is the link if you would like it - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1E0F7S85. I hosted it at megaupload because that is one of the ones that I typically use to host my various files.
Enjoy
Thanks for sharing. What version is this of flyscreen?
Worked for me!
Where is this signup link I dont see it on the site?

Thanks i found it. Funny thing is, I checked this thread to see if someone mentioned a screenshot app and didnt see one. My apologizes.
ok, I just started up the app and it wants to use a shake procedure. and tells me, failed make sure i have root access. I changed it to movie mode and it took 500 pics in like 10 sec. lol Anyway to take a screenshot manually?
EDIT: i got it to say active shake phone to take a screen but that obviously dont work. What am i doing wrong?
Try PicMe.
I use that exclusively for all of my screenshots.
Works perfectly.
I got the job done guys thanks.

Occasionally. I believe it's androids built in memory manager purging the process as other items get loaded ontop of it. PicMe is a heavy application. It does a great job though when it's up.
Hey guys, I got PicMe from the Market but I'm having some trouble installing it.
It says:
"Failed starting server. Please check that you have ***ROOT*** access on your device... and enabled access to the lower level graphics."
Feedback would be appreciated.
There are several posts here for fixes to get the full Market and I'm one of the unfortunate that none of these fixes work for me. Different roms, countless restarts and FC never worked. I was talking to a friend and he told me to download market enabler. Further digging pointed to me MarketAccess - an updated version without the ads. From what I've heard, Android Market will limit what you can 'see' depending on the service/carrier you have with your cell phone. And since we're on a tablet, that may be why some of us are SOL.
Market Access will trick Android Market into thinking you have a cell phone carrier with your tablet. For example, I chose T-mobile for the U.S. and I now have Kindle and Nook; two apps I couldn't download before.
I'm going to continue testing this and see what else I can get. For now, those were the two I couldn't see and I now have them installed through the Market.
You can find MarketAccess be googling... yes, Market Access. The site should be amip.tools (can't post links yet)
Is this what your talking about?
http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/android/marketaccess
Are you sure this is safe and legal?
That's it. I didn't see anything that would make this illegal. Do you?

I would love to be able to access the full Market too but I am, like you, one whose attempts to fix Market did not work. However, unlike you, even with the fix you led me to, my gtab continues to not be able to see the full Market apps. Bummer. But thanks anyway.

Reggie, Did you try different carriers when running the app? Some apps may be specific to the cell phone service.
Which apps are you looking for anyway?
Yeah this fix didn't really work for me either. Honestly if I need an app badly enough and its not showing I just download to my phone back it up to my dropbox app folder and sideload it right from dropbox on mt g-tab. Works great for me and I have a backup or the app also.
I'm giving it a try and see what it does.

Hi,
The webpage says:
"MarketAccess, as well as MarketEnabler requires root available on the device. It means than you need to unlock your phone and install the su application which will manage permissions for other apps that want to get root on the device. Google for details."
Jim
I tried this to look for a specific app. Upon further inspection I don't see anything in there using this that wasn't in there using the Market Fix. Am I missing something? For what its worth, I'm looking for Colorize Widgets.
Thanks for your reply Jim. I must have misunderstood. I thought ecatapano's fix avoided using MarketAccess and MarketEnabler by accessing and "drop boxing" apks from an Android phone then sideloading them to the g-tab through drop box. I just don't know how to get the apks from the Droid to the drop box.

I've seen mention of using Astro file manager to backup, which I guess puts the APK on sdcard, then you have to have dropbox installed on your Droid, and you can then send the APK to dropbox.

I installed the market enabler,or whatever its called. I defaulted to t mobile as my carrier. I'm not certain what you are supposed to do for setup after that. So I went back into Market and found Colorize Widgets. I'm not convinced market enabler had any influence though. Any feedback on using market enabler is appreciated.

First of all, read everything! Second, click the link to see a picture of what the build.prop should look like. And lastly, I am not responsible for you being lazy and inpatient.
First of all, I take no credit for it, I just want to move it here for other users who might have not seen it. All credit goes to Sprintusa.
This even makes the quality of Netflix even better! Just follow the link to the post which was posted inside a thread of the Android Apps forum. I used it and it worked great!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13952218&postcount=722
EDIT: I will re-do all my steps and check if this still functions. I will post results here.
EDIT 2: Okay, so here's something strange, before I even went back to the original build.prop settings I uninstalled Netflix from my apps. Then went into the Market and downloaded the Netflix app from there and it worked fine for me. As I'm writing this South Park (Dances with Smurfs) is streaming perfectly.
EDIT 3: I re-did everything except for use the APK listed in the link. I didn't use any APK. After I edited the original build.prop settings I saved and rebooted. Went into Market and installed Netflix from there. I can say that this works on my HD2 running latest Hyperdroid CM7. The only issue would be that the Stock Navigation app disappears. And some issues with a few apps.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TYPE IN "machimachi" INSTEAD OF "mahimahi"
FINAL EDIT:Okay so I figured out how to get Netflix working and all other apps that seemed to have issues to remain fine. It's rather a simple task but I will write out everything step by step in this post.
STEP ONE: Edit build.prop settings to;
ro.product.model=Nexus One
ro.product.brand=google
ro.product.name=passion
ro.product.device=passion
ro.product.board=machimachi
ro.product.manufacture=HTC
After you do so, tap the menu button and select Save & Exit, it should also save a backup copy of the original build.prop. Make sure it does because it's needed for later! Afterwards reboot phone.
STEP 2: This is an easy step, after phone reboots, go to the Market and Netflix should be there, download it. Now sign in and make sure you watch something, please do this so it can register on the Netflix site that you're on a Nexus One. After you do so, exit Netflix.
STEP 3:Now go back to your build.prop file, hold on it and select "delete."
Make sure you do NOT delete the one that says "build.prop.bak."
Okay, all you have to do now is hold onto the file build.prop.bak and rename if to "build.prop"
The icon should change back to the original build.prop icon. Now reboot phone!
And Whaaaa-Laaaaa! Netflix working as well as all other apps that were affected by the Master hack.
Worked fine for me, my TyphooN build wouldn't show it in the market.
Used ES Explorer to edit the build.prop file (enable writable root in settings).

just downloaded it, it doesnt work. as soon as you boot it says there is a new version that you must install before you can use the program. after clicking ok it searches the market (?) and it says it's unavailable. rederening this version useless. manual search on the market doesnt make it show up either. i'm using gbx v12 if that makes a difference.

This hack does work but be aware of odd issues noted afterward.
I edited my build prop file exactly as shown in the post and installed the posted apk, and although the attached screenshot shows "mahimahi" not "machimachi" as the post itself shows I used machimachi. But on my hd2 when I shut off and restarted the phone I found these settings immediately breaks the GPS and makes my stock navigation (blue arrow) icon and its associated app. Inoperable. So I reverted back to my original build prop settings, saved, rebooted. Then downloaded the uppdated Netflix app (will add link to this post when I find it again), and Netflix, GPS, Navigation icon and it's app works normally again.
Edit: found link to working apk.

I would now guess I should have just added these lines to the build.prop? And not just delete what is inside and leave it the only thing. Hmmm I might pass then. I have a tablet coming in, might see if it works with that.
Many thanks to Dizzy's IMEI fix!!!
Great program to get an IMEI number on our NC and allow apps like HBO Go to work.
Great thread (Dizzy's) on this in the Dev forum. It was a little intimidating for this rookie but I figured what the worse that could happen. Took me two tries (cause I had an old Java version) but now I have HBO working, more comfort & knowledge about the NC with ADB, etc.
This forum is fantastic!!!! I knew if I got in trouble there would be help on this forum. Thanks for all you guru's out there who have made this possble.
You're lucky...I can't seem to get it working for the life of me. I altered the framework file using the latest IMEI generator from Dizzy and that worked fine but when I run HBOgo, all I get is the spinning cursor and then an error telling me that "some videos are not available at this time" or something.
I've updated to the latest CM7 release candidate over the weekend hoping that would solve it but nope.
Perhaps my kernel or flash version need updating? I really don't know what the problem is...everything else on the Nook works perfectly.

Have you downloaded the LCD Resolution app? I read a thread here somewhere that said to get that app, then change the density to 160 and check the box that says to do it every time you boot. This makes your market app work a lot better. I was able to get HBO Go from the market after doing this. If it doesn't work for you, I'll post the apk.
I have installed google+ finding that it is not a far stretch from the web version which is good. One thing to be aware of when you first set up the app it will automatically check a box saying it will automatically download video and photos from your device to google plus, something to be aware of.
I had to go elsewhere on XDA to get the APK file as the market seems to think my tablet is incompatible.
One thing I like about the app is the Public (Nearby) posts from users outside your circles. I can't seem to find that on the web version
Works nicely on the GTAB with the exception of "Nearby" posts from users outside your circle, I'm guessing this is due to the fact that the GTAB doesn't have GPS.
I wonder if there are different versions floating around for different devices.
I pulled the .apk from my Dell Streak, and installed it on the G-Tablet.
It works, with occasional FC's -- especially the first time you try certain features, 100% usable including Nearby working with WiFi location. I don't think the camera works for Huddles/Hangouts.
Different file size and md5 than the .apk in this thread.
My version does not look tablet optimized. What device was the one in this thread pulled from?

That's because, lame as it is, G+ requires a location (is there a little bit of creepiness here?).
Try installing a location spoofer such as "My Fake Location" (I am not endorsing this one but I know it works), set a location and viola! everything should work.
Haven't tried posting from it yet, but location (Via WiFi) Does work.
(Version I copied from my Streak)
If I swipe over to Nearby, it usually, but not always shows my correct location, and picks up public posts.
