Awhile back I remember seeing an app or widget that allowed you to go into recovery or bootloader.

reboot -> reboot regularly
reboot recovery -> reboot into recovery
reboot bootloader -> reboot into bootloader

This. Just remember to 'su' first in terminal, you can't reboot without root permission.
Or just download Quick Boot from the market. Or download GScript Lite...you can do alot more with GScript Lite.
The commands prash posted I use and works like a charm. As soloxp mentioned too, you can just create a GScript script to do exactly the same with a short buttonpress. I can't remember if you can add shortcuts from GScript too, to the homescreen.

Wow, seems like you put alot of effort into getting that "lite" part in there...freakin pay a dollar for the full gscript and support your devs, why is everybody such a cheapskate all of a sudden?! You go out and spend $120 for a pair of shoes, and another $80-$100 for a pair of pants, then you go pay $2-$3 a gallon for gas so you can go spend $80 on dinner for two, but you cant foot one measly buck for using something that took SOMEONE a good deal of time and effort to make? WTF?!?!

i agree with you. support the friggen devs. but.... i haven't bought shoes in over a year the last i got were 40 dollar chucks, i won't lie every now and then (maybe once a year again lol) i will buy an expensive pair of jeans. but i will not spend over 50 dollars on dinner, 14 for chinese food is sometimes a stretch. but i do support my devs when i can.

Wow, talk about blowing something out of proportion...The whole point of this thread was wanting a *command*...They were just saying that only the lite version is required to execute a single command. I also find it frustrating when people pirate apps that are ridiculously cheap, it really doesn't make sense, but I really can't see a reason to have a go at someone for using the lite version of an app. I'm not saying that developers don't deserve to be paid for a demo/lite version of their app, but come on, no need to rip peoples heads off.

Hi I am paying for someone to make an app for me. It would be like the last.fm app where you can stream the music from the site, but it's for soundclick.com not last.fm. I would like to be able to sign into my account, view my favorite bands, rate/comment songs, Download songs to my sdcard right from the app, upload songs (for band accounts), and basically a fully functionally app that lets me use all the features on soundclick. I will pay $10 for someone to make the app. I will pay you via paypal, after the app is completed and being used on my G1.
An application like that would take a long time to create and cost way more then $10 to produce.

Lol, if you want an app like that you would have to pay way more than 10$. That app sounds really complex. I think you undervalue the amount of skill and work it takes to actually program an app. It's actually pretty hard ( I am a beginning coder myself ). Offering 10$ for something like that is almost an insult.

The SDK for android is free, but there's a fee to post things to the market. Not to mention that it takes a LOT of time to make. You're basically asking for months of someones time for $10.

Something like that would cost at least a few thousand dollar's worth of programmer's time. I don't know anything about soundclick, but it's very likely that it wouldn't be possible to make an app without their consent/help.
Your best bet is to suggest that they make an app themselves.

I would start at their Contact Page. Probably with the support email, then maybe business development if you don't get any response from support.

The $10 is hilarious but besides that it probably isn't possible. There is no public API as far as I can tell. They also you a flash music player. Meaning there is no way to make the calls to stream the music.

Ha yeah, i was reading the gangwars topic over @ androidcommunity and someone else is having the same problem as me... when i go into the fight menu my only option is to "add to hitlist" rather than that + punch and fight.. idk suposedly this game has quite a few bugs..

2) go to properties
3) go back to main menu

Ok we whatever, I just got an Android phone and I hate it so I'm gonna get something windows. This is my first experience with Linux on a handset and if the developers wanna get screwed let them, forming union isn't hard we did it where I work, well we joined one but it makes everything a dev does worth money. Good way to make a living.

But who is it that decides the devs have been screwed. Is it you? I think that honor goes to each individual who bought the phone. You don't get to determine that someone else has been screwed just because your panties are in a bunch over something related to your phone.
The cost of a non open source operating system on a phone is going to be so heavily subsidized, I'd be surprised if the additional cost was more than a couple of dollars/pounds/whatever. Bottom line is that you're just paying for the device whichever route you take.
Also consider how long android has been out, it is definitely the quickest maturing mobile platform around. Anyone remember the state wm was in at this age?
Edit: I think the developers would rather be "screwed" as you put it in order to bring about progress in a timely manner. That's what open source is all about!

First off, that's a toaster I want.
Second off, you're absolutely right. It's not about the money, it's about taking your phone to the next level and being able to say you were the one who got it there first. I and thousands of others have nothing but respect for these developers and a lot of us give them both props and donations for their work. I'm sure the donations are nice, but I doubt there are many devs on XDA who started writing ROMs and compiling kernels because they thought it would make them rich.
Don't understate the motivational power of random people coming into your thread to say "Your work is awesome, keep it up, and how cool would it be if it did this too?" For some people the respect is all they need, since genuine respect can't be bought, it can only be earned.

Ive already sold everything on ebay and tried those surverys... I think i made a grand total of 6 cents for 2 hours work and that just wont cut it. I used swagbucks.. what you do: set up a a defult search engine, use it insted of google or whatever you use (its powered by google anyway)
you search, and eveyday you will at least once recieve points, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 50.. its random, (sometimes, people got up to 150, because they searched so much)
once you have collected enough points, you can exchange them for something, iPhones, iPods, iTunes monies etc.. I've got about 800 points, PM me if you want my account (only works for those in the US )

Sorry to disappoint but I do pay for apps on both my EVO 3D and Xoom. You said your app would ALWAYS be free to XDA members but went back on your word, that was bad enough. Now you're here spamming the forum, thats disgraceful. On the 2nd page is your last thread that was closed on Aug 4th, now you opened another thread the very next day which offers nothing that could have gone in the other thread? Oh yeah, and there's another thread in the Android Paid Apps section which was also closed.
I support devs verbally and through my wallet, but your behavior is pretty distasteful. I'm not looking for a fight, nor am I slamming your app, but I think the way you do business may hurt you more than freeloaders. Another factor may be people realize there are free apps that suit them just as well and don't have to worry about buying an app only to find it pulled from the market for some unexplained reason and have to get the other pay version.
Think of this as constructive criticism.
