Just now saw the XDA app for android. It is very good. Searched for the app for WM, but could not find any results. Can somebody give the link to installation CAB.
There is one called XDAppLiteNet. You should be able to find it by searching with XDAppLiteNet as keyword. But it's buggy and since the redesign of the website I have not been able to get it to work anymore. As far as I know that's the only app available.
I'm using XDAndroid and my question is simple, is it possible to have LiveWallpaper working in XDAndroid? Can you help me please?
I tried to install a 'Live wallpaper' plugin but it doesn't work.
I'm sorry if this thread has been posted before.
On mine work perfectly.

What Android do you use? Is it better than faryaab Android?
Using any of the neopeek's CM builds should work. But don't expect much. Most of them will be slow and will eventually slow whole device.
Thank you for guide. Does it mean that it's kinda impossible to use Live Wallpaper to other than Neopeek build. Because I feel not good to change the Android that I had. I've downloaded many programs and customization. It's kinda causing a fuse to redownload everything from the start. Thank you.
Anyway, we almost have the same device history.
I think there is an apk that can enable live walpapers. Try attached one.

Hello, I putted on my X1 Icedroid V8.
I can put on live wallpapers, but not all of them.
To be more specific I want to put on the Jupgate Free Live Wallpaper, but on play store says :
" That application is not compatible with your device HTC Sony Xperia X1 ".
Is there a way to do it ?
Thank you for your help.
Hi, we have just released a free app to the HTC Desire with Android 2.2 that can scan a barcode and do a webservice call to our productdatabase with buildingmaterials (apps name: nobb skanner).
We have many people complaining that the app does not work with the Wildfire with android 2.2.1. The app just terminate on the Wildfire after doing a barcode-scan. We do not have a Wildfire to do a test, and I would very much like to tell the development team what to do if someone her could give me a hint ;-)))
Is there anyone that knows what the issue could be?
best regards

IIRC, Barcode scanner had the same problem like, 4 months ago, I guess you can solve it with a simple mail to his developer.
Ps: you could even post the solution here, even if it seems pointless, posting it makes it avaible (even if it takes 5hours to find )
This sppears to be based on the same source as the barcode scanner app (what is it for?) i have had it crash (i hit report and sent the system info) just a side note it works fine on the galaxy tab but could do with being translated into english

I suspect it will either be to do with the Wildfires low resolution or limited EGL.
Still barcode scanner works and they seem to be running on the same base source

Could be. Tried it on my friends x10 mini pro running 2.1 and it had the sane issue

NOBB skanner
NOBB stands for norwegian building article database. NOBB contains allmost 700.000 articles sold in the Do it yourself (DIY) stores in Norway.
With the scanner you can find productinformation on the buildingarticles such as certification, maintenance, assambly etc. etc. just by scanning the products barcode.
The app is programmed for Android 2.2, and we know that it will not work on Wildfire bacause it use Android 2.2.1.
The app uses the common barcode scanner api.
Does the ordinary barcode scanner app function good on the Wildfire?
The normal one is Fine on the x10 and wildfire

Would be nice if at least the descriprion was also in english so people know what it is

The x10 mini pro is running 2.1 on a qualcomm msm 7227 with a qvga screen and a 5 megapixel camera. And it crashes as soon as you tap the button to open the barcode scanning function

I'm willing to test any and all roms, themes etc. for any devs. Just let me know. I'll be getting a different phone so I'll just use the Zio as a testing ground!

I'm already a step ahead of you. Ill post what works tomorrow.

I would also know how that worked. I would love to have a black bar instead of this grey one.

Sorry for the late reply. I've tested three of the black status bars without any success. Still learning.

Where is the status bar located within the file system? I want to see if there is anything I can do.

I found the location of the status bar. Check my thread for more info. I think we just need to do a little work.

Well Im going to teach myself Java because supposedly it is prerequisite for learning to develope for android. I came across good 101 Java tutorials online. I just really want to mod roms for my zio and maybe even start creating an app.
Any ideas?
I'm currently taking Linux+ so I should be of some help.

Yeah I'm not going to start taking OS classes for my major until I start taking core classes. In either case Im going to start early with Java. My school library has older editions of Java textbooks I think but I'm to check them out AZ well.

You can develop full apps with java and xml for the layout. Being familiar with linux is also a must, since android is just a linux flavor.
http://www.thenewboston.com/ is a great place for a beginner or guru. Tons of video java lessons as well as android development.
Linux has helped me with the file system. Although I still have alot to learn before I am any kind of guru.

everything of importance on android phones is written in java.
But the kernel and file system is Linux based. You have more on your phone that you wouldn't think you would have on a phone.
Sent from my Zio using XDA Premium App
Yes, the OS is linux based, however all the apps are java based.
Here, read this
Its from cyanogen himself. Good place to start if you want to get involved with android.

The Android platform is basically a linux flavor. It contains more then a linux the file system and kernel. Yes exactly what I posted, Java may be used in android development. That is not the only language, There are a few others including C.
Thanks for claryfing the different programming languages and their relevance to the cell phone structure and android OS.
Java and linux are both important for exploiting and developing in other words.

I am doing a project for school, and i choose to write an android app.
Does anyone know of a good guide to writing android apps and Java scripting?
Thanks

Thanks I will try that
if you know anything about variables and values, if and switch statements, and booleans you could use appinventor. No java experience needed. You cant upload the apps to the app market, yet, but you can test and run on your own device. I'm pretty sure you can send a link to folks you know to download the app too.
You can use the Google App Inventor. It's kinda like the old visual basic, etc, but it should give you a head start...
