Hi,
I've found the software "call sms blocker". It had been made to block incoming unwanted calls and logged it... hide private sms...
I've attent to configure it but no way ! it does not stop anything that incoming !
Have you test it ? with success ???
yes. I use it and it works perfectly. It is an awesome program.
The way i have it setup is I have it set to accept all and then I make a custom list of numbers to reject. In this custom list I added all my phonebook contacts. Its kind of confusing but you have to remember that your phone only replies via sms to REJECTED calls/ and or sms. So yeah it sems weird to say reject contacts but this is what u need to do if you want your phone to send an automatic sms reply back to your contact.
So i did this for both calls and sms. I set both to ACCEPT under the "status" tab. then go into each tab "call" and "sms" and create new lists within each. Do this by tapping and holding in the window area and say ADD. Name it, make it REJECT, and make the action Hangup. Then go down to "List" (right soft key) and select number>add>phonebook. You can then check all the numbers from your phonebook that you want to add. Then also under "List" (right soft key) you can go into Advance Opt and set your custom message.
Repeat for the "sms" tab. Tap and hold in window area to make a new list. Name it, make it REJECT type, and I say "move to blocked" for action type. (this creates a new folder in your inbox of your messages so it makes it easy to find the sms that the program blocked. Add numbers from your phonebook same as I said above.
Now one thing to keep in mind. When I first started using this program I found that it only responded to my missed calls and not sms. What I discovered was that all the numbers for the sms list had to have a 1 in front of the number so that it looked like this 1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx. Whereas for my call list, the numbers in the list are like this (xxx) xxx-xxxx. For some reason I dont know why, this makes a difference.
So give it a try. I hope this helps you.

Hi! I am looking for a call filter program that can filter all unwanted or no number incoming calls, I tried photo contacts pro but its slow & sometimes the caller can't hear anything for 1 to 2 seconds repeatly during the conversation. I also tried MagiCall, this program is simple & nice but it can't hang up the no number calls, instead it will pass these calls to my voice mail box directly. It has a option "pick up/hang up", this works what I want but will waste the air time. So anyone can suggest a call filter program to me that can directly hang up the no number calls? Thanks!
Call Firewall
thanks for your reply, I've seen the features of this program but it doesn't mention it can block no number call or not? Do you know it has this feature or not? Thanks!
uh, sorry, can't help you there. I only HAD this program in some of the ROMs I used, never actually USED it.
And auto-rejecting no-number calls would have killed it in my book anyway, because the phone central in my office randomly removes id from outgoing ones, and so I would never receive business calls, lol.
Ask around, or better yet, try searching the forum for impressions/reviews. I know Laurentius26 uses this app in some (if not all) of his ROMs.
[EDIT]
That's what I found in the description:
Features & Options:
a. Accecpt all calls - pretty self explainatory
b. Accept call from My Contacts only - accepts calls from contacts only, others are rejected
c. Reject all calls - pretty self explainatory
d. White List - accepts calls only from the white listed nos
e. Black List - accepts all call except from the black listed nos
f. Black List Pattern - any no STARTING from the black list pattern list is rejected.
for eg. if you enter "123", so all nos STARTING from "123" will be rejected
this is a very nice option with which you can block nos from any particular network, country, city , area or whatever you can think of.
Besides, there is a check window for "Reject unknown/private calls"... I'd call it a YES, then
CallBlock
I use callBlock from WISH solutions to block a list of callers. It works well and it does not have to answer and hang up.They mention that it can block no number calls but I have not tried it for that. Here is the link:
http://www.wishsolutions.com/products.html
Good luck!
Just tried the Call Firewall, it can block no number calls, but transfer the call to voice mail box directly. Anyway thanks for your suggestion
actually, this CallBlock looks like it offers a few ways of blocking the call... See picture at this address
Block method: dropdown list... Wonder what's in there? researchermd, can you check and let us know?
call firewall works just fine. I use it to block unknown or private numbers.
In addition, you can use your network settings for call barring and block numbers that aren't in your phonebook if you want the extra security of blocking numbers.
The screen you provided should be "CallBlock Ringtone Edition" which is make for palm. For the PPC version, there has no such option can be found
Hi all, I'm finding it frustrating that there is no way to edit a contact's details or quickly make a call from viewing an SMS, is there a tweak/patch for this or am I doing something wrong??
close input program like keyboard, press up and down key to highlight sms, and press call
Solved.
Cheers, It's a bit annoying that you can't do it from the Flo view, and is a bit awkward, however this method also works to get to contacts too if you press the center button.
Thank You.
just press more (left buton)
in the list of sms's press the phone button. you will be able to call that person.
you do not need to close the keyboard.
If u dun close keyboard u cant select the message, u'll highlight text instead
what about just hitting the green button key ? that works for me

when i press more in the tf3f sms screen i go to the sms list.
if i have a keyboard there or not does not make a difference.
as soon as i press the call key, i can make a phonecall. to the selected person.
if i press up or down the next message is selected and i can call to that person.
what are you doing different?
perhaps your message is already highlighted. u can only call, forward, etc, when the message is highlighted. U'll see a lightblue highlight on the message.
When u're replying a message, no message is highlighted, hence, no forwarding etc
but when you reply to a message you are in a different screen.
i am talking about the sms overview.
so to call someone you received a message from it is only two clicks, instead of 1 click as the first poster wanted.
lol, probably misunderstanding. we both obviously have no problems and threadstarter also no problems already, so, case solved lol

you could say that
Thanks everybody for your input, yes the solution works.
If I'm in the single SMS mode (i.e. the SMS "old style" list I have no problems accessing contact details or making a call.
The threaded SMS mode proves to be more difficult, however by highlighting a message (either pressing up, or down then up, or closing the keyboard) then you can access the number by pressing the call button.
The Quick SMS view in the HTC FLO mode though proves the most difficult only allowing you to select the message to open up the Threaded SMS view. This is the mode I wanted to make a call directly from or access there details, however I don't think that is possible.
Is there any direct (or convoluted) way to reject an incoming call, i.e. send it directly to voicemail. Meaning
(a) if a call is coming in and matches certain criteria
(b) send the call to VM, and stop the ringing. (programmatically)
I've got (a) under control but I dont know how to do (b).
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jay
Well I know in the phonebook settings there is an option to send directly to voicemail for that particular number but that would require you saving the number in your phone book.

I have Telemarketer1 - 7 right now in my phone book and they all go straight to voicemail with that option. Now if there was some way to block "UNKOWN"!
We need a Call Firewall / Blocker Software which can do following.
Register for Intent which can hook Incomming Call events
When Intent is raised if Checks for the number across Predefined Rules in Priority Order if any Rule matched take Action like
Reject Call
Accept and Immediately Reject THIS WILL COST CALLER
Send to Voice Mail
Reject and Reply with SMS
Reject and Create Reminder for Predefined Minutes to Remind us to Call them Back
+1
great idea
Try Youmail (it works for all phones)
There is a program for WM called Mobion MagiCall that would do everything that everyone wants on android but who can port it...
Back to my question...
Folks
I love the lively chit chat but does anyone have an answer to my original question: how do I reject a call programmatically and on the fly (not through phonebook entries set up ahead of time)?
BTW I will have an app available next week on Android Market that allows you to respond to incoming calls with an "I'll call you back asap" text or email, and it will set a reminder for you to call the caller back.

OMG!!! YES, WE CAN DO THAT!!!
I was going to kill myself after severe 24 hours of investigating and discovering... But I've found "fresh" solution!
// "cheat" with Java reflection to gain access to TelephonyManager's ITelephony getter
Class c = Class.forName(tm.getClass().getName());
Method m = c.getDeclaredMethod("getITelephony");
m.setAccessible(true);
telephonyService = (ITelephony)m.invoke(tm);
all all all of hundreds of people who wants to develop their call-control software visit this start point
http://www.google.com/codesearch/p?...:http://mylockforandroid\.googlecode\.com&d=0
there is a project. and there are important comments (and credits)
briefly: copy aidl file, add permissions to manifest, copy-paste source for telephony management )))
Some more info for you. AT commands you can send only if you are rooted. Than you can kill system process and send commands but you will need a reboot to allow your phone to receive and send calls =)))
I'm very hapy =) Now my Shake2MuteCall will get an update !
I use tcallblocking lite (search the market for it) to block calls from unknown numbers and any rom with the hacked phone.apk in it allows you to add numbers to a blacklist. No need for additional entries in your contact list
Moved as not Android Development.
I tried Call Firewallv1.40 freeware. It seems to be working at blocking unwanted private calls. I found it here http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-call-firewall-v1-4.html. The price is certainly good.

Hi!
I'm kinda new here so bare with me...
i've searched without any luck to finding the answer to my question...
When someone calls me, the diamond gives me the choice to reject the call and texting the caller with a predefined message...the problem is that i have to actually send the damn message after haning up...wich kinda takes the whole idea away of having the phone doing it...
Now, is there anyway i can make the damn sms get sent without me having to actually click the send button?? just reject the call and let the phone do the job?
Come on, somebody has got to have had the same issue?
Go to Settings.. Phone... Advanced (right at the right hand end) then de-select "Reject call with text message"
i think you misunderstood me, i donĀ“t want to turn off the feature, just make it do the whole procedure and not stop right before the message gets sent.
Uncheck the option to edit the text message, on the advance tab.
Well nobody is understanding what he is saying.
This is a good idea, infact i also wanted to do the same thing.
What we want is that as soon as we reject the call with send text button phone should directly send the message to the caller (with predefined text) without opening the predefined compose messsage and then we click send again to let the sms shoot to the caller.
I think this feature wont be possible with soft reject or hard reject key coz then it will send sms to each and every caller or even to landline caller. There should be other soft key just like "Send Text" soft key where we press it and automatically phone sends the sms to the caller.
Hope i am able to explain.
Regards,
Vishal

Hi
I'm trying to add a mail address from a received mail to an "old" contact; when I tap on the address i can choose between "Send email" or "Save in contacts", but the save options let me just save it as a NEW contact.
Same thing happens when I try to add a number from an SMS to an old contact...
Is this a bug? Is there a fix?
Thanks!!!!
Does it work if you turn off TF3D?
Hi!
Annoys me as well, I guess that this is one of the great features that the designers over at HTC came up with.
Actually you can do it for SMSs from "unknown" numbers, by tapping the SMS (from a unsigned number) in the TouchFlo SMS tab you will get a contact page for that phone number. If you then slide the tab selector left to the contact card icon, you can hit save at the right soft button. Then the contacts list will open and you can choose an existing contact to add the number to, and even choose what kind of number this is (work, office, private, etc)
The problem is that if you hit an email from the TouchFlo email tab the regular winmo messages application is launched instead of the TouchFlo messages application used for SMS.
The ideal situation would be that emails where handled in the same way as SMSs

PK

paalkr, you are right, in this way you can save sms number to existing contact... Thanks, it's a good workaround!
I hope someone will find a "fix" for email addressess, too....
