Hi!!! Has anyone tried to upgrade the ROm as yet... Well I have tried and failed. I have HSPL 1.56 Olinex installed and have searched through the WIKI entirely but not gotten anywhere...
The thing is that wen i connect the phone and try to install the ROM, it goes into Bootloader and I get error 202 [Connection error]
I have searched the wiki, but for that error msg, it only says connect the device againa and make sure activesync is enabled...well i have already ensured all the things mentioned but still facing the same issue...PLZ HELP !!!!

No idea why HTC is releasing this rom now "OFFICIALLY" as they.
The rom date says 17th April, 2009 and this was available at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Ship_exe if I'm not wrong.

Hi ! Thx for the response, although could anyone tell me whether I can flash another rom even if I have HSPL 1.56 installed and overwrite it with USPL???? or how as I have read the thread mentioned int the above post and it still keeps pointing me towards installing USPL...can smone throw sm more light on this???

USPL Cannot be installed on your phone!!!

Uspl is not something you flash on to your phone like the hardspl, it is executed in your windows operating system of your personal computer, it is like a medium which allows to flash unsigned ROMs on to the HTC blackstone a.k.a HTC Touch HD from your computer. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 be sure to downgrade your drivers and disable the driver signature enforcement in vista and Windows 7 and yes you can flash other ROMs by using Uspl even if you have hardspl on your device because it will not overwrite yout Hardspl. Try searching and reading through the forum for the answers. i hope i have shed enough light for you to pass through your problem. have fun flashing. enjoy

error 262 no idea...

im kind of new to this. bought myself a htc hd, and i cant seem to update my rom via XT_Grid_Leo_2B . it just keeps getting stuck at 0% and shows the 262 error. tryed hard/soft reseting.. updating from the bootloader etc. any ideas? running windows 7 32

you need to look at the dummies guide for flashing custom/cooked ROMs,

I suggest you use USPL 2.5. READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP

allright.. while flashing that spl thing :
HSPL2 - Flash new SPL (1.56.OliNex)
* (HSPL2a) Place your phone into its bootloader. <- done
* (HSPL2b) Run HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe from the download in step (HSPL1a) and follow it as normal.
* (HSPL2c) If successful, go to step HSPL3. If the flashing process sits at 0% and you get Error [260] connection after some time, go to step (Troubleshooting). <- stuck at 0%
and yes, i always get the error, its stuck at 0% this is annoying.

Then you need to go to the section labeled Troubleshooting - manual SSPL
May help you more by posting in that thread. As I am pretty sure this thread will be closed.

i suggested you use USPL 2.5, if you have i maybe able to assist you. instead you reported using HSPL. Sorry cant help you with HSPL, I've no experience using it.

ok thanks for the support! i managed to flash it via SSPL-Manual-TouchHD . worked perfectly.
although i have one last question.. is there any way i can disable the notification screen when pressing on the status bar? i remember the old days, when i had a xda II, i like the old notifications more...

Upgrade ROM code error with Topix 3.1.2

Hi,
I flashed the SPL with 1.56.OliNex but the Topix ROM is based on 1.59, is that the problem? but what can i do please? which HardSPL i must use? what is the appropriate spl?

1.56.Olinex is the correct spl to use for all 1.56+ based roms. What error code do you get when flashing the rom? Also, have you checked in bootloader that the spl does show as 1.56.Olinex?
As this is related to rom flashing, please post your queries in the following thread so as not to clog up the forum with unnecessary threads.

With the error 270 do you get a message saying something like this -
"ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR
The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility".

If so it sounds like your download file is corrupt, try to download it again.

I hate to say this but..... HELP!!!

I've been lurking with the XDA forum for quite sometime now and its my very first posting and I'm having difficulties finding answers on search box I just simply give up looking for appropriate answer to my question. Since I like to use the good old Winmo 6.1 rom (Davideuck_V-7_MSVC to be exact)my bad is I forgot to SPL to earlier version 1.15 so got a green kinda thing on my screen, so I apply Restore_Stock_SPL_115 and everything went fine. (I know I'm stupid ) Unfortunately after I update the Time and Date it suddenly appear " This concludes the beta test for this software release....... blah, blah,.... guess what? its a time bomb can't do anything on screen but to reset. So I decide to re-flash it again but I got stuck at 0% on bootloader mode and got Error 262, I tried to understand whats the meaning of it and I did, but never got any solution how? I tried to flash it with HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex to restore Winmo 6.5 but I got stuck again on 0%. something unusual I tried to reflash more roms and it didn't work. All the Roms I've wont reach 1% Even flashing on SD card trick wont load. And my spl ver 1.15 can't flash anything. So I that's why I need your help desperately...

Near enough the exact same situation as me! I think that 1.15 file may have issues.

If you are getting an Error 262, you need to run manual sspl in order to resolve this. Read this post for the steps (post #2) and sspl tool (post #1) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377. You can also get all of the steps needed to successfully flash. if you have questions, please post them in that thread.

It seems when I restart my phone normally, I noticed that the message about " This concludes the beta test for this software release....... blah, blah" the manila interface was behind it when I press the task manager and the volume buttons it responses means its not bricked (hope so) maybe the reason why I cant flash anything? Or whatever...Well that's my observation..... Please guys I needed my phone badly tomorrow

Did you not read my post . You can flash another rom, error 262 is common. You just need to use sspl before flashing to hspl 1.56.

if ur stuck with hspl and cant flash that than try uspl or try stock rom.... they get installed without hspl or uspl installed.... its available in the blackstone wiki section

and with stock rom get through tomorrow . than try hspl or uspl with custom rom later on when u have free time

Upgrade the ROM with latest official HTC release it upgrades the bootloader to ver 1.54 as well. Then you can install the newest version of HSPL or just use USPL to flash whatever cooked ROM you want.

Apologies on replying again here instead of posting on the designated thread , but forgive my innocence the thread says "" launch SSPL-Manual.exe from attachment, run it, wait until 1.07.OliNex tricolour screen says "USB" on it, then run the HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone.exe on the PC. "" how exactly that's going to be done? Currently I got the tri-color screen saying SPL-1.15.0000 and a USB on the bottom and when I flash either hspl or uspl I always end up on gray screen with a 0% that doesn't move at all, how can I manually apply SSPL? I cant access Manila interface because of time bomb message? My life's getting complicated!

If possible try flashing from an XP box, Vista/7 might give you some additional trouble if you don't use the right drivers. But if you get to the 0% screen, the issue shouldn't be with the SPL... so don't worry, I doubt the phone is bricked
So: try XP and/or using the drivers provided in the Flashing-thread

Did you downloaded the ROM from the HTC site? If the ROM is from the official site try again using USPL.

I seach the wiki page and found the latest version which is "Blackstone_WWE_1.56.405.1" and I can't find it on the official site, it should be "WWE" not specifying on certain countries, so I manage to download it from Rapidshare link. and for the SSPL I don't think I can do that coz I can't access my phone coz it has tim bomb probably the main culprit here.

Any flashing problems should be posted in Dummies Guide thread.

Please try to read posts regarding updating your unit. You can brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing.

What is your present ROM version?
What ROM are you trying to install?
is your unit unlocked?
Does your unit have hard SPL installed?

i do, but the problem is vender id,
im tryn to install wm6.1 then always error vender id..
i forgotten now what is the previous rom version.
hard spl? like 1.20.0lipro? yah i already use it,

I have the same problem
but can't instal bootloader or flash any ROM
I tryed to flash the original rom but it stucks to 13%
I tryed to instal many bootloaders but when it cames to 100% it says that image is corruped (error 270)
can any one help me ??

OK. I've had that problem before when I first got my Trinity. Been through a lot of trial and errors before I was able to do it correctly. I don't know if this can help but this is how I did it. Usual warning.... I am not responsible if you brick your device.
Just look for the following files in the Trinity thread and install them in the following order:
1. HTC Trinity SIM & CID Unlock - v1
2. Install Olipro 1.20
3. Now I don't know if this should be done but I read somewhere that you should upgrade your Radio version so I installed "Trinity_Radio1.56.70.11"
Even though I have done these steps already I always do them again WHENEVER I install a new ROM. It does not hurt to repeat them.

If you are getting "error vender id" message then it means that your unit is locked again so you have to unlock it again like I said in my previous post. You must have installed an official ROM previously which will lock your phone again.

I tryed to flash windows d. 3.3 Dmore (wm 6.1) but when i boot windows it stucks in the green screen so i can't run cid unlock.
i cant send the phone for servise because i get it from a friend and i havent the receipt
