I'm cooking 23053 rom for our himalayas, and I need some testing and advices.
Here goes 23053 build for out himalaya.
This release is for testers only and MAY BE UNSTABLE.

Known problems:
- Rom hangs in random situations, don't know why.
- If rom hangs, and then you will reset, theme goes to hell and everything gone wrong. <Fixed, non released yet>
- You only can quit from adding contacts with red phone button.
- No OK/Close button in adding contacts, works good after mapping any key as OK/Close
- Tmail.exe (messaging) don't show softkeys, but it exists and can be clicked. Maybe language problem
I really ask you to test that rom, find more bugs, etc.
Maybe you know solution for any problem with rom? Post it there!

cool. thx for this release, yes, it hang for no reason, out of sudden when switching to ither apps
after reset the theme is mess up.
i think for 23053 build has a problem of creating calendar and contacts as the OK soft button is missing. (have to change camera hard button to OK function)
this theme u use the android theme is nice but can use dun use for the dialer skin
Okay, I will use android dialer, I also found some problems (shell releated) and now rom is SOOOO stable, but if it doesn't hang, I can't check that theme goes wrong after reset while hang (you know what I mean.).
Edit: I really tried to hang this rom, and I successed :L And after reset, normal theme is loaded, so problem is gone!
Edit: And yes you are right, You can't add contacts, but after undermapping any key to <Ok/close> it works good.
Edit: And another problem found, tmail (messages) don't show softkeys, but it exists and can be clicked <lol>

It's language problem.
23060 and other new builds leaked, So we gonna port them!

YAY 23420 ported! It is much faster, but stabler? Don't think so! We have some bugs, somewhere in rom, but I will find them!

another thing, wifi setting program can it be remove as its for blueangel while hima do not have wifi.
You are right, but there exists extension SD card with wifi functionality for himalaya, so WIFi can be used as well.

i have sdio wifi card, i have tested and it works after installing its driver. but the wifi program in setting cannot be used. its only for blueangel inbuild wifi driver.
it can be remove, save more space for more default ringtone or themes even

ok, installed and running.
First impression on first 15 mins
1. looks good!
2. scrolling not very smooth but am not complaining.
3. SMS works but no MMS?
4. The Today screen needs a little time getting used to. I miss the previous today screen where you can see your appointments at a glance. i think it's too crowded. Now I have to scroll down to see the status of calendar, messages, etc. still have to play with it to give final verdict though.
5. Task Manager available upper right and working battery meter, yay!
6. menu changed to honeycomb scrolling. I think it's just eye candy
7. Games are back. Can they be uninstalled? Can use the memory.
that's it for now. will install other cab files included.
Ok. You can change the today screen to original layout as in previous versions.... I'm starting to like it!

This is the greatest ROM yet!
Almost all bugs/missing components from previous versions are fixed. just had to add HTC Network wizard to configure GPRS so I can surf the internet. Also added the sent SMS notification patch and it's working. Did anyone install the additional cab files (flashlite and IE6.1) what are they for?
I feel like I just bought a new PDA phone!

I have tried previously the WinMo 6.5 with HTC Universal and HTC Hermes but none of those devise ROMs were functional as good as THIS ONE.. SUN_DREAMS ROMS is just perfect.
I have one issue though. I dont know is it my own issue or anyone of you have this as well: I get Exchange Activesync error 80070057. By the first time the emails from exchange can be downloaded and there is no error but by the second attempt to sync. I receive the error... Anyone has the same issue??

The mode to use this theme was change a little, no more gesture to open pages or open menu box.
This is the instructions:
Unzip the file inside your Setups folder
Some Notes:
the zip have 2 lock.xml
I recommend to use the lock nitrogencontrol.xml if you use nitrogen version 1.1 and if you have installed in main memory. For use that rename lock nitrogencontrol.xml to lock.xml
I you, like me, use nitrogen 1.2 alpha4 so use the default lock.xml.
PLEASE CONFIG FIRST BEFORE USE THE THEME.
PS: I will post the Hero Contact widget in the apart of Widgets HERE.
About the Calendar widget, this is close to work perfect, I recomend to wait to brunoisa10 finish his new script and then the widget will be posted in the respective page.

What are you having problems with? The instalation or the configuration of the app?
To install the theme just uncompress the zip file and place the contents inside the \Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2 folder so there's a file in the path:
\Programs Files\ThrottleLauncher\setups\Hero2\config.xml
Then open ThrottleConfig and select Hero2 in the combo. Reaset the plugin (you can click config to config the theme if you want)... The theme must appear in your today screen .

That's right the mod has to be done over the home.xml... Though I think that if you change the height of the plugin in ThrottleConfig the bottom bar will be shown. Go to ThrottleConfig, click the advanced button and uncheck the hide bottombar icon. Ensure the height is changed also. Then reload the plugin.
Original author of the ROM is Hoang An from pdaviet. So all credits go to Hoang An.

This ROM is so beautiful. One draw back is that the custom made Brian's taskbar used is not for the WM6.5 build after 23053 . There's another Brian's version particular for the version 23053++. I hope the chef will fix it.
The file name is Brians BWTaskBar _23053. Search for it in this Forum. It will resolve the problem with 'No start and softkey buttons' at the bottom of the screen. But you will loose the nice waiting cursor animation in this ROM.

Try this fix for the Home Button. It has worked on many roms for me.

Beautiful BUT problematic
I've been using this rom for the past 6 hours. It is by far the most beautiful rom to hit my HD but also the most problematic.
After flashing I hard reset and started it up. No sim recognized, it took several soft resets before it finally took.
Manila was slow and 'choppy' so had to reset many times.
Did not want to sync (it took several resets and one hard reset before it finally did)
Email worked at first then after last hard reset I get the 'Error Synchronizing'.
When I pressed 'soft reset' it went into hard reset, AGAIN!
Very beautiful, but too heavy, slow, and problematic for me.
Now, I would like to make it work so if someone can illuminate me on how to achieve it I will be very grateful.

Very fast ROM indeed but too many bugs and it's NOT for everyday use.The eye candy is great looking forward to more releases but for now I'm going to switch to another ROM.

One problem opera doesnt connect to the internet. When I type in the address it comes back with a white screen.

Korea Service provider use the specific rilphone.dll to handle the messaging system, so this DLL file make several problem outside of Korea. So I fixed this problem by replace the file.
I changed keyboard layout for WWE environment but I am not sure correct or not because I can not test with WWE Qwerty keyboard layout. Please someone test this and let me know about bug is fixed or not.
I am applyed theme like 'Arang's that one. I used several CAB files those are used by Arang however some part of theme are not found from web, so I try to make the similar one by myself.
For the top/bottom taskbar, it is fake. Just make the taskbar as transparency and make the background image contain the pretty taskbar image. However, it has the refresh problem when change to landscape mode, so I am excluded this feature.
Windows mobile 6.1 has fundamental problem with HTCScroll2.dll which is used by most of new packages(especially the LEO). So I used old version of Album package which is not depends on HTCScroll2.dll, therefore you can not use 'Social Networking' feature with this ROM.

It is simple description about my ROM.
* It use the HTC Sense 2.5 based on Windows Mobile 6.1(21056).
For remain the compatibility issue, I use the old version of packages.(Album, MediaToolkit, NotificationEnhancement...etc)
Twitter tab on HTC Sense work very well now - fixed by myself.
DocBrowser and FootPrint tabs are not included because these packages do not work normaly, and have some bugs.

This ROM use OEM from WWE stock, but I am not sure what is more work for you.

- the video driver crashed from the beginning;
- I wasn't able to do anything with my phone, so I had to install another OS.

Totally agree & more(weird ROM with blurry&mixed colours graphics before first sleep):
-no settings in start?!
-Today screen has one window: internet calling off...;
-using File explorer, I can't select files by simple touch, touchscreen not responding;
-in phone tab I can't dial more than 2 digits, after that touchscreen not responding;
-sounds settings(ring type,ring tone,keypad) not active;

i have some error message in first install:

tested it, graphic driver crashes from word go phone froze b4 complete setup complete dud but likin the idea will sure test if improvements are made
ROM TEST?
The graphics are terrible, the installation fails with the error - missing OperaSkin. CAB. Please solve installation errors, then you could call "ROM TEST. I do not think anything else should be said.
I flash this rom and install "Rescoexplorer" => run "system info"
the message show
"windows mobile 6.5 (wince 5.2)"

Any more details on this ROM? Progress, updates? Or is it discontinued?
