I've loooked at alot forums so don't chew me out about starting a new thread about this.
I downloaded Super Mario RPG and LEgend of zeld: link to the past but super mario won't even work, just sits at a black screen, and zelda the ground is covered by water and you can't see anything, but the toons and the buildings. Everthing else works good for me tho.
Has anyone had this problem? And fixed it?
I love these games, but idk what I need to do.
It may help if you say which emulator you use, but if it is snesoid you will have to enable transparancies in settings to get LTTP to work normally (it will run a little slow tho)
smRPG is another story. It is probably a emulator specific problem, so your only choice is that the emu author decides to fix it.

Have been bored at work all day. Just wondered if anyone had any fantastic ideas for Diamond games. I'm not saying I can make them, but if anyone can work out how to get the G-sensor working on games, I'd love to see a sensor-based Pacman.
there is loads of old dos games you could convert.
someone made a lunar lander game. he can help you with the gsensor.
what about a driving/flying game in which you control the car/airplane with the gsensor and use the dpad button to fire at enemies.
or maybe just a racing game
a platform game in which walking is left right, tilt up is jump etc
good luck
I would really like to play Super Mario world on my Tilt, sadly, i know nothing about roms or anything of that sort.
I did find an Snes emulator (http://www.derok.net/emulation0/snes.html) and Super Mario World (http://www.derok.net/emulation0/supermarioworld.html) I just have no idea how to install this onto my phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
where does it say it can be played on a mobile phone?
what you want to do is install a game boy advanced emulator for the mobile phone(Morphgear, pocketgba, etc).
I recall super mario world being ported to the gba, so with a little search you should be able to find it.

I'll second it. I like playing ROMs on my 8525 a lot more than the Tilt (because of the location of the IE and messaging buttons). I beat all of Alladin on the way to a basketball tournament keeping me busy on the bus.
morphgear and the snes freezes up my tilt every time i try to exit it. i downloaded the .cab from spicypixel.com, perhaps it was an outdated version?
are you able to play snes games smoothly with the sound enabled on the tilt? I know I was never able to but that was before a video driver cab was released. Does it make a difference?
the other day i paid for and downloaded the nes emulator, i was playing around with it and realised that i couldnt play games really as i dont have a keyboard like the G1.
also with this problem, when playing cestos i cant talk as im playing from my HTC MAGIC and have no keyboard. do we no of any one that is going to be fixing these problems
thank you in advance
Hello,
From my experience (which is some what limited mind you, haha) ScummVM works very well with the HTC Magic. I have a Vodafone HTC Magic (black) and had Broken Sword 1 running perfectly. Obviously most other games will not work as well given the lack of hardware keyboard - but point and click adventure games are no problems with the touch screen/trackball! Also, the ScummVM app is free from the Market last time I checked.
Hope this helps!
It seems the magic requires a vitual keyboard. Also, as the magic is capacitive, that would mean that it's essentially multi touch capable (even if google haven't capitalized on it yet), so theoretically, it should be possible to get that virtual keyboard running with multiple buttons pressed at the same time. As far as I can see, the Sapphire(magic) is a rather new phone, so these things just take a little time to come from the developers.
Caid.

Yeah, it works. But some point and click, like broken sword 2, monkey island 3, need a right mouse click (inventory) to continue playing. Also no buttons to save the game.
So ScummVM is good, but with some games not. I hope they fix this soon.
There are a couple of experimental multi touch apps appearing in the market for use on rooted phones running certain firmwares. Hopefully we'll start seeing this being implemented into emulators soon. I'd be more than willing to pay £5 for a decent Megadrive emulator with multitouch control.
You never know, maybe we'll get official multi touch in Donut... or Eclair... maybe Flan? Please?!
There is a game boy/game boy colour app called kidd GBC. You have to pay for it but it uses an on screen keyboard (well an a and a b button that you press on screen) and you use the trackerball on the phone to move about. It works quite well and is one of the first emulators i've seen that has a basic on screen keypad implemented.
Finding games isn't easy tho.
The guys over at http://www.supergnes.com/index.php are working on the bomb snes emulater that will supposedly eventually support touchscree/multi-touch/trackball.
Theres a slew of myTouch 3G users coming down the pike, lets hope they start getting support.
ggNES is the BOSS! it allows u to set onscreen arrows and buttons, but i use volume up down for a b and the screen for the arrows cuz without multi touch its hard to put both on the screen.... hopefully donut should fix that!
Been using Nesoid for NES games and Gensoid for Megadrive games, both have on screen D-pads and you can map the buttons to correspond to A/B etc..
Works really well, really like it, tons and tons of roms out there. Been playing Altered Beast on the megadrive emulator and Mario and Zelda on the Nes one!
Hi, Guys !
I was wondering if someone has tried some of the game emulators we have for WM - NeoGeo, Mame, Gameboy, PS1 and etc... and if yes, could you share your opinion about them and their performance on the X1 cause this could be a good solution to the otherwise poor with cool WVGA game titles phone .. Thank a lot
I tried mame. It works quite fine. Only problem is with lack of buttons to control the games. I guess this will be problem for all emulators.
Use search, there have been plenty of topics.
The best emulator is definitely MorphGear. It can emulate almost anything, from NES, SNES and Gameboy to Sega Megadrive and more! You can play in fullscreen in WVGA resolution. The smoothest speed possible on an emulator. Full customization of the keys. It is the best.
MorphGear is GD slow! i've tried only genesis module, which i had to use FPS = 4 and disable sound to be able to play on the right speed... so i concluded snes module will be even worse... anybody can run MorphGear in a decent manner??? i use PicoDrive, which runs perfectly smooth WITH SOUND!!!! it's also possible to use the hard keyboard keys, so after some training it became really playable.... minor drawback: you have to install wvgafix3 (search for it here at xda) to run it on xperia..... go for PicoDrive, you won't regret.....

MorphGear does all of those + fullscreen. Super Mario ftw!
Morphgear is very laggy for me when playing super mario. Any tweaks?
Very interested in this topic too!!!
I have messed around with mame quite a bit and am using FBA 0.14/0.12...i am sooo sad, that they do not develop this project anymore...without sound, the speed is not bad for some games!..with sound it lags too much i am afraid =/
cannot wait to test the ones you mentioned!
I tried pocket dosbox and played spelljammer pirates of realspace for a bit worked fine
... about MorphGear. GAPI runs the fastest on it but it doesn't work right. It scales the screen so it shows only a part of the gaming screen ... anybody know a fix for this?? Been wrecking my brain recently trying to get it work. With other display modes the fps just sucks.. Pocketgba I think uses GAPI and it runs supersmooth, but has numerous other problems so I'd prefer MorphGear.
ps. been searching this forum and googling this problem for like forever now

I haven't done any special tweaks. Just the regular stuff.
Haven't tried morphgear but pocket gba is slow
Is there any way I can get asphalt 5 working on the slide? My sister has a g2 and she has the game and its my favorite android game yet, but the slides screen isn't the right size or something to play it. Is there some way I can play it?

Not really, sorry bud. You can mess with the pixel density on your phone a bit to try to get it to fit, but it'll never be perfect. You can find it in build.prop and just push.
Tried changing density but couldnt get it to work, one thing about changing density that I thought was weird is that the rom manager app's icon changes. Its so wierd lol!
The game makers are too lazy to make a lower res one, only asphalt 3 was made for our res. here are racing games that work on the Slide:
-NFS shift
-reckless racing
-raging thunder 1/2
The Answer to your problems
hey dude i have a LOT of games (HD) working on my slide! just go to this site and download freely! None of these are viruses i have downloaded the vast majority of them, played them, and can verify functionality! word of caution, though, i STRONGLY recommend you have either a Froyo or Sense rom with data2ext (i use 3rd Sense Rom in the devs forums) becuz for some odd reason, CyanogenMod will not run them. for example, on Sims 3, i tried running it, and it would show the little EA logo w/ the (sims) diamond above it, and just exit to the homescreen! no force close message or anything! but anyways the games on this site were resized to HVGA (mytouch slide sized) screens and, like i sed, fully functioning! all you need is a mouse and a web browser that translates the page (i.e. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) have fun with your new games
