Google Calander is now offering Sports calanders.... The problem I am having is that the calanders don't sync to the handset. There is a "Google Help" topic for this but nothing has come out of it...
Is anyone else having this problem or found a fix for it?
Let me know...... Thanks.

I haven't been able to get it to sync either.
Ditto. US Holidays and my personal cals sync, but not the sports cal.
So, I'm guessing no one has a fix yet...

I am coming from an iPHone---and my husband and I need to keep on the same calendar...whether it's google or MobileMe---is there anyway to do that with the tilt? I am willing to pay for software as long as I know it will work.
You can use OggSync, GooSync, gMobileSync and probably others to sync to Google Calendar. I use OggSync myself.
How did you get oogsync to work? I can' tget it to even start on my phone. I iwll check out the others. Thank you though!
could someone tell me how in the name of god u sync this crap phone with ur desktop ala active sync or what ever it's new alternative is because active sync doesn't seem to exist for this phone.
my htc hd2 worked fine until it broke and my insurance co replaced it with this heap of crap. i can't even sync my hotmail now without downloading about 1000 email contacts that i don't want on my phone.
not to mention the 500 or so contacts that i do actually want which are stored on my desktop pc with sbp back up which apparently isn't compatible either.
do i have input every one of these 500+ contacts manually now? i also had them backed up in microsoft my phone which doesn't seem compatible either with this thing.
is it just me that's having these probs? someone reassure me please and tell how to get my contacts onto it before i smash it off the wall in frustration.
i have them stored in sbp back up, microsoft my phone and a PimBackup.pib file,
how do i get them onto my phone, any method will do?
I really, really wish you people would read and do research before coming on here with ignorant, angry posts... Posts like this make people not want to help, to be completely honest, and most veteran users are going to respond with some "Search the damn forums" reply simply because of your approach...
If you want to sync hotmail without importing the contacts, don't click on the Hotmail selection when setting up the account, click "Other email" and do it like that so it'll only sync the e-mail, and not the contacts. Second, there are a few ways to sync contacts, easiest is through an exchange server or syncing them to your live account which will then sync them to the phone. MyPhone, SBP, and all of those outdated systems will not work.
For synchronization on Windows Phone 7 you must use Zune Software, ActiveSync was discontinued in WP7
You can get it hare

About contacts,
As far I know there is no simple way from moving you contacts WM6 to WP7
For example you can use Exchange (if your company use it) you can sync contacts from WP6 to server, and then connect to you company server from WP7 and sync it, and you get your contacts on WP7.
If you can’t use Exchange Server for any reason, you can sync it on Hotmail or Google Gmail, both supports Exchange ActiveSync, just sync you contacts from WM6 to your hotmail or gmail account, and then same way sync it on WP7
Hare is how to sync on Hotmail
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=704025
Or use this to sync to gmail using Exchange ActiveSync

i had searched the forums and it seemed there was no resolution to the contacts issue which quite frankly i was incensed over as it was the straw that broke the camels back with a phone i disliked a lot already. no tethering being another prob i can't get over, as i used my prev hd2 at least 50% of the time for this.
as for backing up my hd2 contacts in any other manner other than my outdated methods listed, that's completely impossible, my hd2 has broken, the insurance co now possess it. i did not know it was going to break nor did i realize my methods of backing up my info were so archaic and outdated. this is the replacement i was unfortunate enough to get from them.
as for the other re email contacts. i found the soln after posting but was too pissed to go back and edit. "you people", "ignorant"? fair enough if u want to label me that. thank you for ur opinion. i don't remember making a personal attack on u or anyone else but so be it. i thought my post wreaked of desperation and frustration after many many frustrating hrs with this "phone", i am not a techie at all, but obviously i was making a personal attack on u which warranted the personal attack on me. given the no. of posts u have i'm guessing ur a mod or vet member so i won't be surprised if i get a pm infracting or banning me for insulting u so deeply and personally.
Armarn, thanks very much for ur help, i appreciate it.
Far from either, but if that's your way of being frustrated or looking for assistance, I have a sippy cup for you, as for the contacts, I would Google a way to export them from MyPhone
Sent from my HD7 using Board Express
I love my HTC HD7, its a new phone and sure it has some bugs that need to be corrected. However if you dont like the phone then go buy yourself another one, and I search the forums or google it before you start a thread on a dead end subject!
Hello,
I hope this is in the right section and if not.... could a moderator move it for me! I am a noob to XDA. (I am not a noob to hacking and roming and such). With this said, I updated several friends phones with the newest Cyanogen 9 6/25. Of course, the Facebook app is not working with Google sync. It swirls like its trying and then stops. However, my friend got his to work, and all his facebook friends statuses, numbers and pictures all synced to his phone. I CANNOT understand how he did it and either does he! Ive tried several third party apps such as HAXsync and friendcaster... They all swirl like theyre trrying, and THEN stop and dont put ANY contacts in. What could have been the deal? Any help would be great.

I think Facebook sync should work, and I can guarantee that Haxsync will work. With Facebook, if your contact names differ from those people's names on Facebook, it won't attach them automatically. You will have to go into each contact and press join. You can avoid that with Haxsync, as it will do that for you. Just make sure it's configured correctly and give it 5 minutes to do its thing.
Hmm... :/
I wonder whats wrong. I got friendcaster to work finally but it wouldnt work without it. Haxsync refused as well. It would add my own picture but not any friends. I went through for an hour and a half and switched everyones name to their Facebook names and it didnt work. Sigh. I installed GoContacts and I picked only show contacts with numbers because the stock messaging app does not have that option. I heard there was some issue between Google and Facebook that wouldnt allow me to sync my contacts! GAH! Thanks so much!
Hello XDA peeps,
My Nexus keep have a problem where in Google Maps, the search history keeps turning by itself.
Sometimes when I am just trying to navigate home and it can not find it, so I have to manually put in the address.
I will go into setting and enable it, but after a while it will turn off again.
Is there a fix to this??
Thank you,
bump
Bump. Did you ever solve this?

Same issue on HTC One M9
Don't know if this will work for others or not. I had 2 email accounts installed. My original / primary gmail account and my, .edu email account that my college set up as a gmail account. Once I uninstalled the .edu and just had one email the problem resolved. It was as if maps was confused and was not able to fully sync with just one of the two emails. My search history immediately worked once there was just one email.
Hello
Just got my N6 last week and so far it's best phone i've ever had.
Everything is working exept contact sync against my VW company car.
My Note 2 workes perfectly in the same car.
The problem is that it syncs every google contact but none of my exchange buisness contacts..
I can see who calls on the phone, but the car just shows the number.
Anyone have a sulotion for this?

Export your exchange contacts and import those in the google contacts.
Exporting is no solution since i want to keep them separate.
Found the solution.
Go in to the "contacs" app and select "contacts to display". Set up a choice here that includes google and exchange.
Weird that i had to do this both sets of contacts show up in the phone app.
