ANSWERS:
So HTC Europe is for the WWE version and includes English as the default language?
- So it looks. Installed, language is English. Act likes the WWE.
And all national versions (ITA, NOR, FRA, etc) are localized in respective languages?
- Haven't tried, but based on above WWE/Euro experience, I assume this.
Also, do I need a HardSPL to flash, or this is really *official* as in no hacks required?
- Just run the exe, follow instructions. BACKUP first. It will zap all data - sans memory card contents.

It is working for me (happily I should say)...
I ran the hardSPL from cmonex (Thanks again!!) then flashed Tupidins Stock english ROM...
I am only having problems with Opera connectong via GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA but not through WiFi.. (anyone, any ideas???)
BTW, running XP on my PC for the HardSPL...

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake, I downloaded it but I've FLASHED the 20279 (the older one). And this one has English too. This ROM 20757 is CN only!

Tried everything, following the guide and my conclusion is that there's no possibility to change the ui language to English.
Hopefully someone can supply the English version of this Rom because it's fast and I want it

Sorry, I've double checked, and discovered I made a BIG mistake, downloading this Rom, but installing the older one ! I agree, this is CN only!

i am not familiar with the chinese imput methods, but according with various mui file in /windows (that are named 804.mui) i suppose thr lenguage is simplified chinese.

Try to check Blackstone forum for dumping your rom.
Touch Pro is available at several Dutch Online Shops.
There alerady is a thread dealing with dumping of roms look for that on the fisrt page.

However, I would like to know if there is any way to change the logo screen of vodaphone that comes at the beginning or when shutting down the phone?

This ROM doesn't have app for operator settings, you have to configure manually GPRS/MMS, also CALENDAR app is different than original HTC.
The CAB you provide for STARTUP image installs some watchdog which trows an error on loading HTC Sense, so I prefer changing registry settings than installing this.
For me, this ROM works the same as others, nothing special you get by installing it.
