Record a Call
Here you go. Here's the newest Version that I use. Works excellent for me.

agree to above, works really great!

It records my voice and not the other parties. I installed the cab with File Explorer. and everything looks like it works but doesnt record the person on the other line.

I'm guessing it doesn't record the other parties voice because recording someone without them knowing is illegal.

Well I'm using on a Htc Fuze and works flawlessly. But I do only use an Earpiece when I'm using my phone. And all my calls are recorded unless I disable ACR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also try to make sure your volume is up to full to make sure it picks up the callers audio. Or they will be very low and you can barley here them. Of course your voice is going to be louder than your callers. One other thing you can try just for the hell of it: try using the speaker phone and see if that's helps. And create a file on your SD card to send your recording to, and that should do it.
Another thing to check is: when your on a call hit menu and see if record call is high lighted if so, then you can record your call that way too.
Good Luck let me know if that''s helps you out!!

Maybe where you live, but here in Minnesota, USA, only one person needs to know the call is being recorded. I used ICR in the past, but it was cooked into a rom, I'll try out ACR and see how it goes.
ICR would record both parties, but it would make a beep noise when you started it, and it wouldn't auto-record.
If anyone knows how to disable that beep, ICR would work for me.

I'm pretty sure it's all over the US

The two party call recording is illegal in some states but not all the states. Even in states where it is illegal, you can record two party conversation but need to state upfront that the call is being recorded and if the other party objects to being recorded then you need to stop recording it

Recording phone calls

Is it possible to record phone conversations on this model. All I seem to get is the sound recorded from th e microphone?
Hmm, I thought that was illegal anyway.
Well, if the person on the other end doesn't know that you're recording that is
I suspect that the phone software has been deliberately coded to try and block any attempts to do this, as it is indeed illegal unless you notify the other person at the beginning of the call that you are recording the conversation. (it's called wiretapping, and it's still inexcusable as evidence in a court of law)

Thanks for your input all.
My Sony Ericsson t610i records phone conversations at the touch of a button, so it's not illegal. It is also possible to buy and use phone recorders for landlines quite readily
As I understand it, is only illegal if you are a business and record and save conversations and details without the usual disclaimer at the beginning of a call, private individuals can do whatever they want.
As it happens some scumbag stole my xda at the weekend so I'm back to using my old 610i at the moment!
Yes, it can be done without any trick, at least with my device… I’ve tried several times and it works fine.
About the question to be illegal or not, I think this would vary depending of the country’s laws where you are living.
In the Uk, recording a private phonecall is legal, as long as it is for your own use. The moment you intend to make the recording available to a third party, you need the consent of the other person in the recorded call.
An outline of the Legal issues of recording Calls
I too have been looking for ways to record my calls on my XDAIIi. I think the developers are just lazy, as it is obvious that if the duplex can be sent to the handsfree. Then surely it can be sent through a recording loop. Any way please see the below attachment outlining recording of Phone calls in the US, UK. Canada, and Australia. I took it from http://www.voicecallcentral.com/help/acc/source/legal/contents.htm
It also clearly states why people may want to record their conversations - especially when dealing with corporations who record their calls, but always conveniently lose the recording where they said you were right....
YAA Its possible i do it regularly on my 2i your convesation should be with speakers on and just press the record button that would do the needful

Call transferring

Don't know if this is Kaiser only, but since I'ts a kaiser thats giving me grief here goes...
We're using a mobile switchboard and as part of the group answering our main phonenumber I'd really like to be able to transfer calls with my Kaiser...
Normal phones (as in my last Nokia E61i as well as my N95) gives me the options to park the current call, dial my colleague and then "transfer".. I can't find this option on my Kaiser..
Is this option not available in WM6 or is it HTC that has "removed" it? Or perhaps, is there a thirdparty software to help me with it
Go to Start / Settings / Phone / Services / Call Forwarding.
I'm talking about call transferring not call forwarding..
Transfer = I answer the call, call another contact & transfer it to him..
Forward = all my calls go to another contact and/or number...
Can I push this up, cause I'm desperatly looking for this function on the kaiser.
Maybe there's some addon or a special key combination to activate call transfer on the htc kaiser?
yep - this is possible but is network dependent.
you need to put the call on HOLD.
call your colleage/2nd party.
CONFERENCE the call (so you and 2 callers can hear each other)
then YOU hang up - they are left connected and chatting (but at the expense of YOUR bill!!!)
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the answer! I will try this when I'm back in my company.
The costs are no problem because we call each other in the company for free and the call transfer is only needed to redirect customers to the right contact but I think it's a long way round when there could be a simple option in the menu (like hold and conference). Every other mobile I know offers a direct way to do this (either a menu item called transfer or by pressing a number).

Tested it and it doesn't work. It simply quits the complete conference.
Again, maybe there's a special dialer which supports it or some kex combination to press.
I really need this feature!
Solved!
So here's the way it works on wm devices:
Get the first call and put it on hold.
Make the second call and press the number 4 followed by the green phone button.
The second call is now transferred to the first and you are finished.
Great thanks to my phone provider ONE who came up with it!
Nice find! Does not work on my Q-Mobile 1.2 Tilt with AT&T.
I get "cannot conference calls"
I contacted AT&T and they said there is no way to do it.
I did read that if your call comes in using a Google Grand Central number you can transfer it using Grand Central specific codes.
Later, Lew

Yes, it's a "feature" that your Phone Provider must support in order to use it.
I get "cannot conference calls".
I know for a fact that the same sim when used in my old v v old ericsson r380 world phone allows me to conference multiple people.
but my kaiser (running stock) says the above message.
how can i conference calls? the phone looses part of its utility value if I am unable to use this feature. someone got any tips/ tricks for me?
p.s. i initiate both the calls...
conference call is not the same as call transfer!
You can start a conference as described by firstbuddha a few posts ago in this thread (you just shouldn't hang up if you want to stay in the conference). There's also a menu item for conference call.
If you use my method with pressing 4 and the green phone button you are trying to transfer a call which is only possible when your phone provider allows it.

Call waiting problem in all PPC

When you are calling someone that has another call (Call waiting), your PPC do not show in a notification or beep that the second party is having another line.
This is available on any very basic symbian phone.
Is there a cab to fix that?
Share a solution if you have one..
This is a feature from your carrier.... Call waiting works just fime on my Kaiser

Call waiting works fine on my Kaiser as well.
The carrier here has this option.
This is not the problem though.
The problem is when you call someone up from a PPC and that party has another line.
You should get a beep or a visual notification showing that the person you are calling has another line (my call is waiting on his phone).
So, if someone has a solution for this; please share.
Ok what I think your talking about is when you call someone that is on the phone, you hear a quick beep indicating that they are on the line, correct????
If this is what you are talking about, YES it is carrier specific. For example, when I call my father on Verizon and he is on the phone with someone else, after each ring there is a small beep. This is telling me that he is on the line.
There is nothing you can do to the Tilt to change this, it is carrier specific.
True... and there are also some PBX systems that provide the ring/beep when you are the call waiting. It usually depends on the phone system of the person you're calling.

I think that is carrier specific too.. if I am calling some someone who is busy on another call, I get a completely diff to ringing tone.. Infact in most cases I get a audio message that the person I am calling is busy on another call and I should wait or call back later... Atleast thats what we have on all major carriers here in India...
ok we know that carrier has to support it, i know t-mobile does...
i used an old nokia to check and it works, it beeps and the whole screen says CALL WAITING, then it starts ringing...
i haven't seen any Windows Mobile touch screen or not that can do this
so its a carrier thing, yes t-mobile supports it.. windows mobile doesnt support it though!!!
so there is no way to make a .cab or something to fix this problem
It's not broken so how can you fix it? It's just not a feature that is offered.
it is not about the carrier. for instance when i had a nokia, when the other party was on the phone i had a beep in my phone, but with the WM devices, you cannot see that you call is waiting.

Outgoing Ringtone/Music on Hold

Hello everyone - I couldn't think of a name for what I'm talking about, so I thought I would explain it. I sometimes hear music when I call someone's mobile phone. It's like they chose a tune for callers to hear when they call them. Also, another person placed me on hold when they received a beep, and I could hear a tune playing. The person said that their device begins to play through their playlist when they use the hold or swap feature. I asked what they were using, and they were using a Palm device.
Anyone heard of software that I could get to allow these functions on my Tilt?
Thanks!
Outgoing ringtones are a network feature.. they'll do it automatically for you and charge you an additional monthly fee.
Oh... OK Thanks.
I found a registry setting somewhere, that you can point to a sound/music file as a custom 'on hold' tune. I tried several audio files, however it didnt work.. so I guess it does depend on the network..

Can I record my phone calls

I’m not interested in whether it’s legal or not. I’m not going to use it in court or anything like that. It’s for my own personal notes.
Does anyone know of a working app to record in and out going phone calls on my sprint touch running Incubus26Jc's RLS11? Thanks.

I have a bad news for you I've tried at least 5 apps and neither of them worked a few of them allowed me to record but as soon as the call was answeared they muted the speaker so I couldn't hear the person I was speaking to. Anyway search for phone recording apps in the market maybe you will have more luck. Of course if you find a working one give me a shout
Has anyone found a working phone call recording app, yet? Actually I would be happy even with one that allows me to record only me side of conversation.
