Mortscript to Toggle Roam Only vs Standard - 6.5 VGA? - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Does anyone have a script to toggle Network Service between Standard and Roaming Only for 6.5? I have one that worked great in 6.1 but the options are in different places in 6.5 so it tries to change TTY Mode instead. Thx.

I decided to dive in and try editing the 6.1 script to work with the 6.5 screen layouts. Attached is an updated script file that seems to work fine with the standard 6.5 rom roaming options (Home, Standard, Roaming). This will not work if you have the extended roaming options installed (Automatic-A and Automatic-B). If you want to try this, you will need to have MortScript installed along with the standard Roaming shortcut. Just unzip the attached file and replace the original Roaming.mscr file with the new Roaming6.5.mscr file and you should be all set.
I am running the 10/13 EnergyROM on Sprint and this script is working well for me. Hope it helps someone else as well.

Thanks part
First big thanks to mamaich for his excellent romediting tools, thanks to bepe for the original idea of cooking roms through romkitchen, thanks to itsme for hes brilliant perl scripts and the help he provided me, also bigger thanks to Helmi_c who helped me a lot and continiues to help me (thanks bro without your help I would never create such rom), thanks also to indra9110 for providing me these nice icons, and the last but not least thanks to www.xda-developers.com comunity, it helped me learn everything i know about PDA-Phone devices!
EDIT MDAIIIUser
I have moved the files to a safe place (and changed the links)
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/BA_WM5/Shipped_Extracted_Updates/xplode
I Will test now!
Installed and running without major problems, good for testing. I have not added any cabs as off yet. Great work xplode.
AKU 3.5
wow...
another new rom..
already have downloaded the files..
will try later..
great work xplode!!!! =)
Must we apply the cabs in the Fixes folder in the FTP?
Do you know how to make convertion from your rom to Himalaya?
I v flashed but stoped on 4 colors screen.
I tried again, it's ok now.
I've just updated to this ROM from Helmi AKU3.2 v1.3.2 and very impressive. I like the sounds.
Have tested the WLAN. I noticed that under "Wireless Lan", the signal strength bar isn't working. It is blank. The default taskbar signal strength works though.
Will be trying the Bluetooth with my Holux236 GPS after this.
*edit* - Now I can't seem to turn my WIFI on. Will investigate if it is caused by the cabs I installed from the Cabs folder on Ftp.
WLAN... solved.
Ok, on first time device on, to turn on WIFI, you need to go to Wireless LAN to turn on WIFI first. After that, you can start using CommManager to control WIFI on/off.
If you leave WIFI on during soft reset, your wifi will be on after soft reset and you can still use CommManager to control WIFI on/off.
But, if you leave WIFI off during soft reset, then you can't turn WIFI on anymore whether via Wireless LAN switch or CommManager switch regardless how many soft resets.
Anyone can confirm this? Or rather provide a solution? Did I miss out something?
*edit* - Nevermind.. haha. It is working now somehow but my device is on fresh hard reset.
I can't seem to get Wireless Stereo/A2DP to work. I've checked the obvious entries in the registry and the dll files, no joy.
cant wait to test
downloading....thank you very much.
Has anyone managed to make Smart Dial v2.2 work?
guys when i double click the file and after it flashes , do i need to press all three buttons like before and do the 3 options thingy?
or just flash and will reset automatically.

Yeah, thats right man. Its the right trick to get WIFI worked without having to SR the device. My experience told me that It would take 2 times turning on WIFI on the Wireless Lan settings, then go ahead to the CommManager. It will definitely work, at least in my situation.
I've noticed two thingys,
1. When connected to GPRS the little 'G' doesn't show up.
2. What happened to the newer version media player that was in AKU 3.3
There was no newer version of WM it was skin which have problems with video playback, the picture was shifted
WLAN - as you all know since we first seen Comm manager WLAN is turning on by Wireless Manager and then you can control it trough Comm Manager
About A2DP i have not compatible headset to test it i have mono one
There is no need to install fixes for this rom, you can try only those which removes comm manager icon and screen rotate icon from tray
I've installed quite anumber of basic apps:
SBSH Ilauncher
Pocket Informant
Pocket Music (Freeversion)
PhoneAlarm
Garmin Que
GPSGate
SPB Diary
Resco File Explorer
TCPMP
They all work fine up to now. The only thing that doesnt work is Smart Dialing which i miss so much. Out of curiousity, how do you guys usually do away without Smart Dial? I feel that opening the Contacts page is time consuming and inefficient. Not suitable for driving. Any easier way?

HHC Custom weather database on tilt 6.1

Is it me, or is the custom database function of HHC for weather not working on the tilt with wm 6.1? It worked great on 6.0, but after installing 6.1 and running hhc and re-building my cities none will work when I select the custom database.(the default database cities work)
Thanks.

It's working great on my tilt, I think it's just you, where did you get your rom at?
It is not working for me either. I had used htchome-2.1-hermes-n2a on my 6.0 Tilt and it worked great. From what I can tell, the n2a is a service provided by a forum member for using custom cities. I have tried his process for patching the htc_home.dll on the 6.1 Tilt, but it did not work. My Tilt froze on reset and I had to do a hard reset.
Has anyone been successful at using all functions of HHC with the AT&T 6.1 Tilt rom?
look for HTC Home plug in. Save it to computer, drag it to your tilt.
Move it your windows file. Run HHC to put in your custom city.
Not working here either
It's not working here either. My cities show up but it won't download the weather for any of them. Luckily I have the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml file and can at least add my city again.

The HTC home plugin workaround is linked in my signature.
Im using the ATT Rom. I would use the link in your Sig if your sig was there
the poster above was correct, the n2a version of HTC Home is a modified version that allows you to pull weather from a different source then HTC.
It's kind of crappy for AT&T to put a plugin that only works with certain cities and is not customizable by the user. I edited the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml file to add my own city, even that won't work.
Note to AT&T... call HTC and have them add more cities to their db!
EDIT: And talk about slowing down a device... wow! I haven't used the HTC HOme plugin for a while and now I remember why I hated it. When it's updating weather, it's slow as hell....
I used the method toward the bottom of the first post from the fallowing thread to get it to work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392644&highlight=weather
Good luck...

the WM6.5 is mostly just a test and mighty not be good for day to day usage yet because of the memory usage of WM6.5 only around 10 mb free ram.

in the next week or 2 I'll gather as much info from you so when I get back here (Parents hous only place I can have good internet) in 2 weeks I'll hopefully have a better rom for you and all bugs might be ironed out

I'm going to install your WM6.5 first, and will send any bigs found in the 6.1 (as 6.5 is more or less just for play)

The 6.5 ROM has no ActiveSYnc possibility. The icon fails to launch.

Flashing 6,1 now
Tip : Forget the SIM autoconfigure, it will save some space.
CDMA ROM needed
Any chance of making this work on the CDMA Shift ??? I am not sure why, but I am stuck in the bootloader despite a hard reset. The only rom that installs properly is the one that left me in this fix. Any CDMA folks out there, or someone with a GSM rom that knows what is needed to switch it to a CDMA compatible version ?
Just installed v6.5, and IT IS FANTASTIC
I like it very much, thanks alot gullum
<lucid> ActiveSYnc works, you have to restart your device
In the 6.1 ROM, the TASKS icon fails to launch, even after a soft reset,
thanks for the update on activesync on 6.5 version.
As I need GPS to be duplexed to to Vista, I recommend putting GPS2Blue in, but you have to ask the authors of that program, like ThaiHugo did.
For the WM 6.5 rom, the home screen font's is a little big. I tried setting it smaller via screen, text size but won't work.
All in all good to see your ROM's. Let's hope one of these days the secret comes out on SD access.
Does the ROM work with headset and mic to talk into or is it still speakerphone only..
Thanks
how come i cant build os of your rom?you deleted the packges files?
i cant seem to connect to the internet using snapvue but the phone function works. am i missing something?
Can someone host these on rapidshare? If they're hosted once, I'll host them on my account as well to get more links for them up. I'm unable to open mediafire.com from China. All the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

It works fine.

I installed 6.5 last night. It works fine for me!
Looks EXCELLENT Gullum!
If you have any internet troubles, check your ISP/WAP settings
My ATT added 2 sets of settings, one incorrect, one half correct (so both wrong, but an easy fix by changing the Username)
Some questions:
Is there a way to add to the "Quick Links" to edit the program list?
Also, Is the Network Folder via Connections available in ROM or should we add it manually? (The one in Age of Reason is simple to use)
Also, as far as hosting, I have a server with unlimited bandwidth (just limited storage of 60 GB) that I can host some files as a straight download if that helps in anyway, jus PM me and I can give you access to upload to it.

[APP] Comm Manager 2.9.5.0 Suite w/ Wifi Sharing v1.1 [NEW TEST CABS 09/04/2009]

This isn't a new app or anything, it's just the latest Comm Manager (2.9.5.0) packaged in a suite. Not very cool is it? Well, the "cool" feature part is Wifi Sharing integrated into the Comm Manager. After going through some packages, I realized that I could integrate the new HTC Wifi Sharing application(as found --> here) into the Comm Manager itself. So after some playing around to try to get all the components to work, I finally got it and put it together in a package. So here it is!
What's in the suite?
CM_Bluetooth_1_1_4_0 (HTC Bluetooth Wizard - Helps make bluetooth pairing easier)
CM_InternetSharing_0_9_2_0 (HTC Wifi Sharing Utility - Let's you share your data connection through wifi)
CM_Phone_1_1_0_0 (HTC Phone and Pin Utility - Configuring phone settings)
CM_WiFiWizard_1_7_3_0 (HTC Wifi Wizard - Helps make wifi connecting easier)
CommManager_2_9_5_0 (HTC Communications Manager - Manages all of the above)
HTCScroll_1_0_1914_2726 (HTC Scroll DLL - needed for Wifi Sharing)
Not much to say about it other than I "ported" the components myself from scratch from various leaked OEM roms such as the new TACHI and LEO, and put them all in one package. I also res hacked some better looking icons into the executables and resigned them, that's about it. I suppose this suite should work with all TouchPro variations at the least, but I have not tested that assumption so. For sure it works on my Fuze. So only install if you know what you're doing. I take no responsibilities for whatever comes from installing it. I make no claims as developing them. I just put them all together.
I will attach both a CAB, and EXT package version.
Enjoy!
AL_CommManager_Suite_with_WifiSharing_EXT.zip - For use in Ervius's Visual Kitchens
AL_CommManager_Suite_with_WifiSharing.CAB (OLDer!)
** Updated **
Changelog: 1.0 - 1.1
-Updated HTC Internet Sharing to 1.1.1.2 (Thanks to Conflipper)
-Left executables untouched to see if this helps with the permissions issue. (no custom icons)
AL_CommManager_Suite_with_WifiSharing_1_1.CAB (NEW!)
*** UPDATE 09/04/09 ***
Added test cabs(below) that installs just the wifi sharing application and integrates it into your current commManager without installing a new commManager. This should mean more compatibility with other devices because we're not overwriting the commManager. But... commManager version might be critical to these cabs working or not, so make sure you have an updated commManager version. Probably commManager versions 2.9+ (Most newer cooked roms should have the newer commManagers). Try the cabs out ONLY if you've been having issues with the commManager suite not working right. If you're not having issues, don't use these cabs as they are the same exact version.
You only need to install one cab, depending on which slot you want the wifi sharing to replace.
(Slot3) = 4th Button from top in commManager
(Slot4) = 5th Button from top in commManager
(Slot5) = 6th Button from top in commManager
and so on... (remember the first slot is slot 0, and not 1)
So figure out which slot in the commManager you want to put wifi sharing in, then use that cab. Use at your own risk!
And don't forget to soft reset after installing! Also, I forgot to mention, HTCScroll.dll is needed for wifi sharing to work also, but most newer roms should have it.
hey dude, thanks for sharing this nice app.
interesting... screen shots? also you might want to make one with htc scroll 2 for 6.5 users.

The application specifically calls htcscroll.dll, so including scroll2 wouldn't do anything. Besides, scroll1 and scroll2 can co-exist, it just depends on which application calls on which dll file.

There isn't enough room for it, so if you want it, you'll have to replace one of the default buttons. It involves a few minor registry edits, which you can do with a registry editor. Programs like Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3 can also reorder and replace comm manager buttons too, but yes, 3G is included and can be used on it.
Here is an example of what needs to be done to the registry in order to change one of the buttons to 3G. I don't want to go too into detail because it requires some registry knowledge, but I'll give an example. Please don't touch the registry if you're not comfortable with it, as it can mess up a lot of things with your phone. I take no responsibilities if anyone messes up their registry from this.
Ok, let's say you want to change the Bluetooth for 3G
Here is what to look for:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\3]
@="Bluetooth"
replace the "Bluetooth" with "3G" like this:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\3]
@="3G"
And that should do it. It's pretty simple but you have to know what you're doing. Always always backup your registry before doing any work on it.
Thanks. I'd assumed that Phone or maybe even Flight Mode would be the first sacrificed.. I mean, how often does anyone turn their cellular radio on and off? I've never used those switches

I apologize if someone has already released something similar. Just sharing what I use.

Thanks for sharing...but having difficulty getting the cab file to download...didn't work...the exe file did....but would rather get the cab file....another link?
Nevermind...just downloaded...Thank you for sharing.

Import my Reg-File to add 3G to the List. You dont need to replace anything ;-)
I am getting an error about program not having sufficient system permissions when I try to install
Thank You very much
Thank You very much
Same from me.
THX!
Thank you for putting putting this together. The EXT worked flawlessly for me -- great job!
Cool looking app. Tried it on the TP2 - doesn't work... looking forward to an update one day

It's probably because the TP uses a different wifi driver than the TP2. I'm sure by changing the registry setting for the wifi device will make it work.
This is what the TP uses:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager\WLAN]
"DeviceName"="{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}\\TNETW12511"
Not sure what the TP2 uses, but if you can find it here in the forums and just change that registry line, it should work.

I have an htc touch pro with original rom...

I have the same phone. After reading through another post that previously used the stand alone version, it seems that only certain cooked roms will work with these apps. I haven't implemented a rom on my sprint TP yet, but I will and I'm pretty sure that will solve the issue. So my best advice is to search and you will find a rom that others with the touch pro have used that allowed the app to function properly. Good luck

[22.10.09] Touch-IT v16 with winmo 6.1 - UP NOW

Many users have requested a rom with windows mobile 6.1..so..I did one WWE only
It has most of the applications from v15 (and multilanguage rom) like in.ex Manila 2.1.19193517.0 with weather locations etc
It has Build 21055.1.6.5
You can find the download link here
Some of the apps included:
Code:
Tom_Codons autoinstall
AdobeFlash
INTERNETSHARING
NetCF3.5
Office
RemoteDesktopMobile

thank you
hi,
wanted to give it a try but the download failed 2 times in a row at 58%
will try later, hopefully it's just a time related issue and not a server related one
but anyway: thx a lot for your efforts
Edit: finally managed to successfully complete download
Thank you itje!!
Downloaded.. will be flashing in a moment. Stand by for bug reports (hoping there won't be any, though).
Connection setup not working for me. Tap the icon and nothing happened By the way this rom is really really really faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast
1. Phone hangs when trying to add location on weather tab. Hangs when you slide open the keyboard to type city name. Could be the switch to landscape causing it. Worked when using fingerkeyboard to type name after I reset the device.
2. Confirming that connection setup also doesn't work. Doesn't start automatically and can't be started from comm manager or windows settings.
3. Scrolling with finger in Total Commander doesn't work. Can only use scroll bars to scroll.
ROM seems very fast and responsive!
Dialer?
Does it have the original X1 dialer or any skinned?

+1, whereas the connection issue is the most important one
comm manager will load for me but it doesn't auto recognize my 3g settings nor does it let me change settings like my apn etc. besides that im loving it so far!
4. In some apps or settings pages, tapping 'ok' or 'x' in the top right corner doesn't close the page/app. Need to press the 'OK' hardware button.
5. Not a bug, but the battery only updates in 10% chunks. Can install a 1% driver for it.
Uploaded an updated rom with correct packages to work with connection setup. Should work fine now.
just use same dl link as before
This enables scrolling in in.ex total commander etc:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Gestures\Touch]
"Disabled"=dword:00000000
This enables multiselect, but disables scrolling in system (total commander etc)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Gestures\Touch]
"Disabled"=dword:00000001
Is this ROM only WWE?

Thank you! Will be flashing the new version once my battery level goes up a bit more. So far the connection setup bug is the only major one I have found. Very fast ROM and it looks great, too
[EDIT]Flashed! Connection setup works now. Very happy with it so far.[/EDIT]
this is a super rom. Had the same problem with connection setup. you said you upladed the new working one. the download ling sends you to another forum...there i found your image....) Perhaps i miss something...but that is the rom image with connection manager working. Also could you consider adding a fm radio application to it and perhaps remove some program like (total commander, google maps, jblend syncro time)
Anyway...thanks for all this is super
does anyone know how to get the original black and white icons back?
This ROM is now officially my favourite!
Something I noticed with most other 6.1 ROMs is that the music will often glitch while playing.. haven't noticed it at all with this ROM yet The volume slider works great (latest builds of 6.5 suck in this regard), weather animations are lovely, apps actually close when you exit them, etc... And then there is the speed. Awesome!
Thank you itje, beautiful ROM.

Which icons? Manila icons? The colour ones are standard in the new manila.
Manila 2.6
@itje_ WoW cool idea with Wm 6.1! Any plan to cook a super fast rom with HTC Sense (Manila 2.6) on WM6.1?
