I recently bought a new screen, and after installing it my keyboard has ceased to work. All other buttons work but the keyboard is completely non-functional. Does anyone know what i did to disconnect my keyboard?

Hi ppl! I recently purchased a Kaiser replacement housing with keyboard to substitute my old and damage keyboard. I followed the procedure described in the HTC thecnical manuals and got the phone back together. After booting up i found out that the keyboard doesn't light up neither the CAPS and FN key when I press them but all the keys work! I tried the old keyboard back and works perfectly but when I put the new one it just doesn't light up... Anyone as any idea of what might be causing this problem? I suspect it's hardware problem but I'm not sure and I don't have any software that allows me to test if the hardware is alright... If anyone can help I would be very thankfull... I went through the forums and seems none eve had this problem...
Hi,
I have a Att Tilt running on WM 6.1. I recently broke my LCD but I ordered a LCD and replaced it myself. Everything works fine except the slideout keyboard. The majority of the keys work but just "some" random keys that do not work. They are not in any particular pattern. For example, the key "s" does not work, "back space" doesn't work, the "Fn" key doesn't work, along with maybe 5 other keys. Any ideas? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.
The ribbon cable that connects the sliding keyboard might be damaged -- or just not seated properly.
Damn.
Some of my keys just recently died on me on the physical keyboard on the G1.
Q, T, Y & P stopped working. I was wondering if I ever plan to flash a new ROM, where it asks to enter your google ID and password when you first set up your phone does it allow you to bring up the screen keyboard or does it have to be with the actual keyboard?
you can use the onscreen keyboard
Hi,
Xperia X1 is three weeks past warranty. Touch screen suddenly stopped working; Display screen still works fine with keyboard in or out. All hardware buttons and keyboard buttons worked, phone worked OK, it was just the touchscreen that was dead. Never had any display problems when sliding keyboard in and out like I have read in here.
HOWEVER...
My mobile Tech Support told me to reset and now all I have is the initial Windows boot screen that says 'Tap the screen to setup...". WTF? Of course when I tap the screen nothing happens.
Is there a key or button combination I can use to invoke the setup routine? Is there anyway to connect it to a PC and control it? Be nice to get the phone back to working, I can live without the touchscreen for now.
There could be an issue of the flex cable being loose. You could try and open your X1 and re-attach the flex cable and hope it solves the issue.
There are some videos out there that shows you how to do it
Hi everybody,
I have a galaxy note n7000.
I am having problem with keyboard. Some of the keys are not responding to hand pressure but responds well to stylus or if I hold the phone horizontally, then it works.
I had to change to one hand keyboard mode so that I can change the keyboard right and left often, to make the keys working. With left/ right orientation different keys work/ don't work.
Checked the screen sensitivity using *#0*# and seems to be Ok. I started to have this problem when I had ICS and even upgrading it to jellybean 4.1.2 did not change the thing.
Anyone had same problem and has any solution/ advice?
