HTC Sense 2.5 And Rhodium phone canvas - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

anyone know of a fix for this...
i have sense 2.5 cooked 19202525 from latest leo and other packages. I use rhodium phonecanvas 3_50_36045_0. when i sync my ms live contacts and link them to facebook, i get their photo no prob in htc people (contacts) but they do not show up in dialer. if i cook sense 2.1 with same canvas all ok, photos in contacts and dialer. if i keep sense 2.5 and use leo canvas 2G_4_2_62119203221_0 i get the photos in contacts and dialer but of course no video call. obviously conflicts with sense and canvas.
If anyone got shed any light on a fix would be appreciated.
Regards richmondo

Find which cooked rom you are using and ask there. No one is going to answer you here
Don't get me wrong, i would luv to help, but still havent flashed my Rhodium yet since i have a RHOD500.
But for now-on, try to post ur problems in the rom thread as you might be able to find people with the same problem who have posted their solution solved. Try to open the cooked thread and on top right, search within the thread
best of luck

Using own cooked rom but noticed this prob. now i now about it and can't fix it i may have to resort to lots of mary juana and mr t backo

hehehe. So ur making ur own rom
Thats nice
Try to post it on a similar cooked rom thread as yours. You'll probably got more help there by members or by the chefs themselves. GL

it's come from this file "phcanhtc.dll"
When i use phcanhtc.dll from withestone's phonecanvas the skin is good but conference key and videocall key are mapped like withestone's phonecanvas...
i need someone to dissassemble these to files to see what we can do!
thx in advance

how can i make a cab from OEM folder in kitchen?

Manila 2.5 BETA with standard WinMo messaging?

I LOVE the new Manila 2.5 i think its a step in the right direction but theres a problem.
The messaging application with it is riddled with bugs i am persistently having to soft-reset in order to sort it out. At the moment im working around problems by always creating a new SMS when i need to send them but its extremely awkward.
So heres the question, is it possible to cook a ROM with the standard WinMo messaging application instead of the new Manila 2.5 one?
Can i get a show of support and if its possible maybe we can see some/a Manila 2.5 ROM with standard WinMo messaging app.
P.S. If im cluttering up this forum and this should be somewhere else move it/lock it and tell me
I never tried it. But I think they might be dependent on each other.
I am by no means a chef and dont know much about that side of things but i would think it was possible.
If they are dependent on each other, then no. Unless we use a patched version of 2.5, but then the functionality wont be the same.
I do not think they need each other to work. HTC Message works well with no TF3D or TF3D2.1 so I am guessing arcsoft will work with 2.5
I have not had a chance to try it yet but it is on my list so I will soon.
There is already a solution for this ...
I use the Energy Rom Genesis with 2.5 Manila WM 6.5
After that I followed this little tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614&page=1
I SMS trough the WM SMS function, without using the HTC software for it...

What's with the manila rotation?

Why did it suddenly disappear from all the ROMs?
Even Rota's has only photo and music rotation, AFAIK
Landscape on LEO manila 2.5 is not fully implemented by HTC, the cooks are unable to fix that. Only the photo and music tab supports it at the moment.
If you need landscape, there's a CAB for landscape SMS in Leo or go for a manila 2.1.
I'm sorry, but how many times have people been over this? HTC didn't implement landscape mode into Manila 2.5, except for Music and Photos tab. And even then, it ONLY works with phones that have a G-Sensor, so not the X1.

So it's an issue that came with the 2.5? I know I'm looking dumb but I want to fully understand this and I suppose there are others like me that are confused.
It was in 2.1 but not in 2.5? We should wait for HTC to do that?

As for G-Sensor, G-Spot should cover that but there still remain all the other tabs.
In the end, is patience the answer of my problems?
HTC ONLY does Manilla rotation for its keyboarded devices.... so until there is a release of Manilla for a Leo Pro, they'll be no oem rotation in the latest Leo builds of Manilla.
IMO, just another reason to ditch inefficient Manilla for either PointUI, or SPB

It's not an issue. It simply isn't supported. There isn't any need for it yet, as the HTC HD2 (Leo) doesn't have a slide out keyboard. So there is no need for a landscape home screen really. There is landscape support on the music and photo tabs, as some people may like to browse their photos and music that way.
When/if HTC decide to put Manila 2.5 on a Pro device with a keyboard, then we might see landscape mode for the other tabs. As of yet, there is nothing, and there will be nothing until HTC make it so.
It is not a bug, it is not an issue. HTC didn't make it yet, as the HD2 doesn't need it.
the interesting point is that I still can not find a ROM with manila 2.1 which has no bug .... because it's very important for me to be able to rotate the screen in manila ....
energy ROM has some bug with sms botton ... I've got really confused ....

Tell me about getting confused, there are several roms with 2.1 manila that has full support on landscape, if it didnt have, then the cook hsa done a error (unlikely) or its disabled by the cook (rather unlikely too)
But a bugfree rom will only be a reality in your dreams im afraid, cause there is no such thing. Not from us, or HTC nor SE..
I have not tested other chefs roms in here with manila 2.1, but mine sure do have landscape

Which ROM did you try?
I´ve had at least 3 which are stable - and if there is something you might perceive as a bug, it is often related to another application and/or setting I did or had to do myself.
There are quite a few Manila 2.1 based ROM´s today which you can try, with WinMo 6.1 or even 6.5 "underneath".
BTW, the worst ROM I ever had was the stock ROM. Shame on SE.

thanks for your answer ... yes I just found several ROMs with manila 2.1 and there is no problem with rotation ... but for example one of them use a lot of RAM (60%) , one of them has some problem with sms ...
for this reason I overlook manila 2.5 ... and I think energy ROM up to now is the best choice ...

Manila 2.5 help

Hi there
im currently using Unoffsv11 ROM and loving it. one thing i miss about the other ROMs is the Manila especially moving clouds! hehe. ive asked Spike about it but i dont think he likes Manila so will never make one. and it wouldnt be 100% clean anymore.
can anyone point me in the right direction as to where or if its possible to get just the Manila 2.5/ 2.1 cab and just install it so i can place it on my today screen.
tried searching but i think my searchings skills are rather lacking. cant seem to find it. just alot of great roms that have cooked manila into it.
thank you for your time in reading this request
hi
it's not that easy. there is a cab floating around with a old manila-version.
manila2.5 needs many other things to be cooked in. so...
you have to pick a rom with manila (sense) cooked in.
okay
thank you for your reply

HTC Pure freezes when answering incoming call, multiple versions used, multiple ROMS

This is an offshoot of this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4922790#post4922790
I, as well as others seem to be having this problem. It affects 75% or more of my incoming calls making my phone practically unusable, so I need to get to the bottom of this.
The issue: Trying to answer an incoming call when using Dutty Topaz R3 (and others) results in the phone freezing for 30 seconds or more and a missed call. Originally, I thought the problem was related to S2U2, but after a hard reset and not using it at all, it appears the issue is related to the ROM itself.
The weird part is, if I use the Topaz settings tool to turn off the Topaz phone canvas, the issue goes away. The problem is the last called list doesnt work, and the dialer doesnt work.
Lets see if we can get this issue resolved ASAP, so chefs can incorporate the changes into their ROMS. I tried a few different ones last night, and its a common problem across all of them.
Just to add, Ive had this issue with:
Dutty Topaz R3
Dutty Leo R6
EnergyRom Topaz
try change radio version
Its not the radio version.
From doing some reading on the forums, I think the issue is related to the Topaz dialer as I had that same issue on the AT&T stock ROM and some other cooked ROMS. I have been using Dutty's ROMs for a bit now and I find that his version (specifically with the Leo phone canvas) works extremely well. I have not had an issue with answering the phone since...
If you can find either the Leo Phone Canvas or the Rhodium Canvas, that might also help you as I have also read that just changing the canvas might work, too...
Which version, specifically, are you using? I can download and flash and give it a shot as soon as I know.

Any of Dutty's ROMs with the Leo canvas have worked for me, I was using the ROM in my signature for a while (for me, that qualifies as more than a week cuz I am a flashaholic)... Currently using his Holy Grail V1, which is also a really good ROM... Let me know how it goes, hope it works for you (don't forget the hard reset after you flash his ROM and it goes through its customization, you don't know how many people forget that step and causes issues with the ROM)...
Why discussing the same subject in two threads at the same time ?
THis one and in this one

Im downloading HGV1 right now actually. Ill post back with results. I think both V6 and V3 that I used of Duttys had the Topaz canvas actually.

Because this issue spans multiple ROMs and the cooks need to be involved in fixing this.
Moreover, there seems to be (as of now) no solid fix for the issue, so the more exposure we get on this issue, the more likely we are to find the fix.

I have said it in the other thread and I say it here as well.
Their is a fix... use Leo canvas. Topaz canvas is not compatible with HTC Pure. Topaz canvas is designed for video call, which HTC pure can not do.
Just finishes flashing HGR1, the dialer is indeed different (no video call option).
Lets see what develops for today...

What is the difference between video call and video share? HTC Pure supports video share.. Does this have something to do with the VGA cam on the front of the TD2 that the Pure doesn't have?

Is there a cab for the Leo canvas? If so can someone please post it.
Im happy to report the Leo canvas indeed seems to have worked.
The problem is, theres still a bunch of ROMs floating around out there with the Topaz canvas.

Good to hear that. Welcome to my world of problem free Pure ;-) Seriously, I am quite pleased with this phone, compared to my Touch, Diamond and Fuze.
Now we need to convince chef with leo canvas to make a cab for us.
Just to follow up, the Leo canvas has fixed my issue.
Like previously stated, and Leo canvas .cab would be awesome.

Have the same issue. I'll try Dutty's latest with the Leo canvas and see what happens. Could have sworn I used a ROM with the Leo canvas and still had the issue (eventually; didn't happen at first). We'll see.

Video share and video call are the same thing, just different terminology. Many people are saying that the Pure does not support video calling, when in fact it does. It just doesn't support it in the same way as the TD2, which has two cameras. The Pure has only one camera, which is on the back of the phone.
So you have two solutions. You can use ROMs with the dialer derived from the stock AT&T ROM (like Optimal Champious) or you can use ROMs that use the Leo dialer, which does not have the videocalling feature.
I still would like to find an actual fix for this problem so that those who own AT&T Pure hardware could simply run a cab that would tweak the Topaz dialer so it would work fine with the AT&T Pure rather than bugging out.
Ok, since no one seems willing and/or able to roll the Leo canvas into a .cab, what other canvas is compatible with the Pure?
