the way i did the JACxROM 1.3 a while back was by grabbing a theme template by cyanogen and looking at what files it contained .. then I grabbed the rom and deleted all the files that werent necessary and voila you have a template

OK!,this is what I was going to try right now. Thanks, for your help

no problem

I tried but I got this message when I tried to flash it.
failure at line 5: run_program backuptool.sh backup
Any tip?

have to use the meta folder from a theme zip, look at the update script, they carry out all kinds of actions on rom updates

OK, thanks , I still dont have much idea about it but now I can start looking for much info, thanks!

oh wow i completely forgot to mention that ... heres a generic one that should work for all themes ... so in your theme.zip you should have an app folder and a framework folder since those are the folders that the script will copy over

Well its to change the battery status for MLIGN's 2.5.7 cus I prefer the stock battery instead of the one included in that ROM, so you still want me to send the file?

ok, just the stock battery from a hero rom, will be back with it. i assume with hero roms you can still just flash a single .apk and it not mess the whole thing up, i really don't need to upload a hero rom.

Ohh so try and flash the frame-work res apk.? Sorry Im a bit of noob when it comes to stuff like this
i don't use hero, and therefore have no way of testing it (really don't feel like going through the hassle of setting it back up on my phone) but i imagine you can just flash a single .apk file and it will work. the file i am going to upload, you should just be able to flash it, since all it will be is the framework-res.apk file along with the necessary files to make an update.zip flash.

I was running 4.1.83 and after installing the debdroid zip with tenfar I no longer have data. I am at work and unable to do much with this so i will try to fix it later.
The zip does not work with Tenfar's recovery.
Extract the zip and place all the files in the corresponding directories on your phone.
oops, totally my fault for not reading ANY of the directions. I was in a hurry to get it on my phone and play with it at work. Now my APN wont stay for some reason. I can send and receive texts but i have no up/down arrows under my H+ icon. I am sure an sbf flash tomorrow will fix it.

HTC Desire GSM. Please make it work please~
It's not flashable. You need to push it to system/media or data/local.
What rom are you running?

I've tried both system/media and data/local rebooted and it doesn't work,i moved the zip from my SD card via root explorer, do i have to extract the zip or leave it as it is (i didn't extract it)
Did you find the rom bootanimation.zip in any of them? Did you rename it to bootanimation.zip?
Do you get a blank screen or the rom boot? If the old, your rom is customized and boot should go in resources it something like that. Hit the rom dev thread, you will find right location there.
If you got a blank screen, you probably didn't rename it or renamed wrong.
It works!

Your welcome, if you run into problems look at other custom roms to know how they set up the various maps inside the zipfile. That might help...well at least it helped me creating my rom.
