Hello everybody, I just joined the site recently and absolutely love it.
But I have a question... I just updated my software on my Kaiser to Windows Mobile 6.1, and my question is... How do I get these zip folders to be accessible so I can use the new features?
I'm not too sure if I'm supposed to extract the files some place or place the zip files in a certain folder. If u guys can help me, I'd gladly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Just google for Installing CAB Files
Ta
Dave
No, actually I mean zip folders, lol. I know how to install the cab files.
Which Zip folders are you referring to? Are you trying to access zip folders on your phone?
Dave

These zip files. and i can access them, Im just not sure how to use them as an actual program or layout or whateva
Those are Skins for PocketCM, you have to install that and unzip the file into the themes location in PocketCM.
Installing themes varies depending on what they are for. Have a look on the PocketCM website for more information.
I suggest reading the thread's and posting in there if you have any problems, because as I said before, each theme is different. (Probably why I don't use them that often )

Oh ok, thanks.
I really only want the application for the new SMS chat feature thing, lol. Do u know how to get that running?

If you have WM6.1 it should be working.
You can check the Wm version in Start>Settings>System>About.
If not, there is a tweak to enable / disable it. Download and install KaiserTweak or Schap's advanced Config. And have a look for the option.

This isn't really a rom development question, and beside that, have you tried this?
I don't mean to be rude, but this is the most basic thing in windows mobile. It might even be on the Help section of ActiveSync or Window Mobile Device Center......

once you download the cab just save it on your sd card. then open it with total commander or your file explorer from your phone. once you find it just click on it and it should start installing. then soft reset

I clicked on the 000TP2.000 file and WM said can not open. It ask me to open application first and then open the file later.
The other files is an xml file and it open with Opera but nothing happen after that.
Try to reset but problem did not fix either.
Don't extract it move the .cab to phone and run it.
That works for me.
Thank you. I appreciate your comment.
BTW, how can I get the Touch FLo view?? I am using Titanium rom
No offense, but you need to READ the instructions! NRG clearly states in the first post of his ROMs
Here are the different versions that I currently make and what their descriptions mean.
* "Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin called Titanium
* "Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin, which is the default Windows Mobile 6.5 homescreen interface. No Manila (TF3D) in this version.

You need to reflash your Touch Pro 2 to the Standard Version.
Please take some time to read and in future, post in the relevant thread.
Thread closed.
Thanks

Hi,
Great Windows Mobile 6.5 ROMs provided by PDAVIET via haree, especially v26!
I have to admit that it was a little annoying to see the "PDAVIET Special Edition" every time I turned on my phone and I'm pretty sure some of you do too!
To make it a little easier to remove, I've attached my very first WM application, "SetVersion26.exe", which you can just extract and copy to your PDA.
Enjoy,
Spooky29
It works great. What bout regedit? pls let us know deleting which part of the regs can work as well. Thks
hi
it would have been more relevant if u put this in the PDV thread
now tell me how to use this and ill add the same to the first page of my thread thanks for this find

Great. Thanks for sharing. Haree is right though. Try to keep the site tidy. If we keep starting new threads, imagine what it would be like for future users. Thanks again.

Ok ... Sorry, still finding my way around this forum. I'll try and find the PDV thread.
Extract the "SetVersion26.exe" executable from the RAR archive on your XP/Vista/Win7 desktop.
Copy "SetVersion26.exe" to anywhere on your WinMo PDA (Memory or Storage Card).
Launch "SetVersion26.exe" it directly from WinMo via File Manager and follow the on-screen instructions.

Thank you
the app did not work for me. i tried 3 times. regedit worked.
anybody know if it is possible to remove the blue ''PDA viet'' logo in about system page, under windows mobile 6.5 professional. i dont like that look. the rom should be kept clean.
Hey guys, does anyone have the default HTC black theme, or can you tell me how to get it?
I installed a theme I didnt like, and was unable to install it, and with some application I installed I was able to remove it.
It wasn't completely removed because when I make phone calls the number pad is themed. It pisses me off because I am unable to see the name and number that is phoning me.
I have a bunch of manilla files in my windows directory, do I delete those? Do I just take the default HTC black theme in .cab form and install it? (If so can you link the cab?)
Edit: I'm on a touch pro btw, RAPH800
There are a bunch of threads out there with the HTC Black tsk file. Please search before posting.
To restore, you can try this: In Total Commander, select Hide ROM files. Then delete all manila files you find.
But this might not work completely - then your only choice is a hard reset.
I search everywhere in xda forums but I couldnt find...
If it's here, it is playing hide-and-seek very well...
Do you mean this file?
