Illuminara or something similar in name to that. Allows you to change the leds and apply patterns to events etc.
Used it and it worked well.

How to make hte messaging LEDs change to rainbow pulses?
I dont know hwo to use illumeneria.,.
I would like to know this aswell.
Change new SMS to rainbow pulses (same as when you turn on the phone), would be cool.
Is it possible with Illumineria?

Hello,
LedNotify is great for the rigt led to notify, when you missed a call or a sms. but to turn off the annoying green and blue led (try to drive at night with the phone in sight!) you need ledoff.
but when you install ledoff, lednotify is off too. what to do?
The problem is that wingsledoff forces LED driver to turn the leds off (not nice access ), i guess IOCTL code is copied from hermled app. WingsNotify uses light access to leds, so it doesn't override setting by wingsledoff.. Solution will be if i add option to switch leds off..
Seems like LED Killer (TreoLED1.exe) works.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=5689
This program just stops the blinking led and keeps them available (unlike wingsledoff) so you can be notified using WingsNotify.
Ledkiller brings an error while installation. think it doesnt work on Smartphone.
but thanks for engagement.
It really works. Just use TreoLed1 from the OEM package and run it with off parameter.
excuse my question, but what means "off parameter"? have i to install only the treoled1.exe or all of the package? only treoled1.exe doesnt work on my device...
Copy only TreoLed1 anywhere to your device. Create shortcut to TreoLed1, edit the shortcut and add " off" without the qutation marks at the end. Then move the shortcut to the StartUp folder.
thanks moneytoo, but i can not get it to work. i tried out a lot of variations:
edited it with totalcommander: "\program files\treoLED1.exe off" "\program files\treoLED1.exe" off; "\program files\treoLED1.exe OFF" and so on. but nothing happend.
any idea?
zicklh : And what do you exactly want to do? Turn off all leds? I'm, actually, finding the wifi/bt led distracting, so, i 'm going to add this to WingsNotify
wow, would you do that? great idea.
it is like you discribe. the blue led makes me freaky, when i drive in the car and have my bt-headset on.
thanks for that idea. hopefully...
I just want to change the SMS LED (blinking green by default) to rainbow pulses.. how can I do this?
Illumineria is quite user-unfriendly for me
xperia tweak offers opportunity to change LED notification. Not sure about rainbow pulses.

I get an unexpected error crash with xperiatweak after I try to reboot.. do you know why?
It could be function that sets default panel on startup. May it be that you don't have panel manager installed ?
What panel maanger?
so any idea how to use this?
Ever since I can remember for the first week I've had my nexus, my trackball has always lit up blue/cyan even without root for any type of notification I had. Yesterday I rooted successfully and tried to use trackball alert to change the color for notifications. After installing the app and patching the framework (I'm running CM 5.0.6) I tried to change the color. When ever I select a color other then cyan, blue, magenta, or white the track ball doesn't light up. No matter which of the four colors that work that I choose to change it to, the trackball always lights up blue.
Today I was out with my friend and noticed his nexus's trackball was lighting up green for new notifications and white for calls, I guess thats normal ; he has root but hadn't changed the colors with trackball alert. I told him about the app and he was able to change to any of the colors allowed in the app.
Is my trackball broken? whats wrong with it?
Thanks

Sounds like all your LEDs aren't firing. If I'm not mistaken, it consists of 3 colors, Red, Blue and Green. Normally, for a stock rom, you'll see white flashing and blue when you're using bluetooth. If all you're seeing is Blue, Green, and everything in between, it sounds like your red it dead. (wow. . . that whole last part rhymed).
how would i go about fixing this?
Just call htc and technical support set up and advanced replacement you need a credit card and the google checkout email. They will guide you through the process. If you want to save some time just tell them you have already done a factory reset and the problem is still there and they will send you a new one and give you instructions on how to return your device to them
Well, my phone is rooted so I don't think they will take it back, will they? Is there any other way like replacing it myself?
I remember when the Milestone got one of its updates, Motorola set it up so that the notification light would only pulse when the screen is off. This is helpful because it can be very distracting, and besides which, there is already a notification bar displaying the same information.
Is there any way I can do the same with the Nexus One, and suppress the glowing trackball only when the screen is off?
Thanks
C
If you are on cyanogen you can. You can change the colors too.

Yes I'm already on CM6 and I'm loving the custom trackball colours. But I can't find an option to disable it when the screen is on. Could you direct me to this feature? *EDIT: I found it, "always pulse" is in the Advanced menu. I think the behaviour is a bit wonky though because I already had it disabled and I was still sporadically getting pulses with screen on. I will have to test this further.
Also I'm wondering how CM6 comes up with the list of apps whose colours I can customize. I'm running the Trillian Beta and it pulses white for notifications, but there is no option to customize it in-app and Trillian doesn't appear in the package list for custom colours. I'd love to customize that one too.
Okay I just experienced it again. I was using androidVNC when a text message came in. The ball started glowing green even though the "always pulse" option was disabled. I went into Settings to confirm as much. I checked the option and unchecked it, and then the pulsing stopped.
So it seems that sometimes the OS "forgets" and pulses the trackball anyway even though the screen is on?
ive got the complete opposite problem, sometimes for me it doesnt pulse and sometimes it does only wen the screen is on. but it seems as if it does watever it wants to. must be some sort of problem... also mine doesnt pulse the colors i ask it too as if it doesnt get that i just got an email and i want to pulse it blue instead just white. it seems messed up
so Im baffled and I'm wondering if I am missing a setting somewhere. First of all, I am not using dark mode. the battery setting are all set properly as well as notification and "start" auto start etc. this is what I am noticing.
I am using Nova as well..oh.smart notifications OFF. I have de-bloated the phone no Vivo.pem
First of all Whatsapp: my lock screen does not show whatsapp messages most of the times, but it does show the min drop down notifications. I noticed the message comes on the lockscreen and disappears v quickly. I included slowmo of the notification popping and clearing itself out. I also noticed if your phone screen is turned off for while and you open it the lock screen shows most messages including whatsapp. Sometimes the whatsapp notification holds on the lockscreen(I included 3 examples).
Another issue is, coming from Samsung and one plus, all the items on the drop down notifications should be the same on the lockscreen. They are not. I seem to get gmail, whatsapp(sometimes) sms etc..the rest are not showing. is that normal behaviour?. again smart notifications is turned to off. logically any app that I set to show on lockscreen should show on lockscreen? I included 2 photos of this.
I know everyone is having issues with notifications, Im just trying to find the pattern for this because to me it looks inconsistent. either it should show or never show.my audiobook shows on both 100% of the the time. so really confusing for me.could be something stupid that im missing, maybe theres a setting for a timer for a certain notification to show on a lockscreen? I dont know.I think in 10 days Ive learned the settings menu inside out.
Fingers crossed that wasnt a stupid post...
Run the new debloat script I fixed. You probably botched something up with the old script, or removed com.vivo.pem and borked your whole phone.
Ok 2.6? I thought we need to remove com.viov.pem..
Thanks ..Will try again

Only according to like one or two guys who in my experience don't seem to know what they are talking about because the phone performs fine with this package installed.
How did it go?
