Hey all. I have come over from the Vogue modding scene and I always had the "look at me" notification tone for my text messages. I got the Hero about a week ago and found that it has none of the old tones. I was able to download a couple of folders with the notification tones but all of them were just missing the "look at me" tone. I was wondering if someone could post the .ogg file for me. I would be forever indebted lol

This must seem like a really stupid question(it even does to me) but I've had my tilt for 3 weeks and I can't seem to find where to turn on a notification for text messages. All I get when a text comes in is the screen lights up, no sound. And the ringer is set to loud. Will someone tell me how to activate this?

Mate i don't have my kaiser now but i am using another wm6 phone.
Go settings-sounds and notifications-notifications tab and try to find on events drop down menu about new text message notifications. Hope this was helpful.
Is there any way to change the sound that plays? I don't like any of the included WM sounds and was hoping to use a custom ringtone like I did on my old Sanyo flip, but I've moved them to the ringtones folder and they only show up for voice calls, not for messages.

Put the text tones you want in the windows directory and voila!
Right first off, I expect everyone to come in here and rage about me not reading around, yes can you have personal sms tones, drop then in the \Windows\ folder as a .wav etc etc. Thanks, but that's not what I'm after.
I'm curious as to if there is native or 3rd party support, of a program that will allow me to set different SMS tones for different people, much like the native support in the phone book/contacts for ring tones for various people.
Ideas, suggestions?

I have been digging around and trying to find a sound package that someone has put together but am not seeing it. Not talking about for ringtones, though some may work for that. Talking about sounds for incoming text, incoming email, alarm, slide and other such things
the Alarm sounds on my Tilt suck. I use it every day but the friggin noise that comes out of it curls my toes. The sounds for incoming text and/or email, or voicemail notification, suck too.
Sonar beeps, crystal taps, lighting of a match, I have no idea what else but I was hoping someone else did or does.
any wav file you copy to where the others are located can be picked in sounds and notifications so you can make one youself
pick some sounds you like and make a cab which copy them to the dir

I've been looking high and low for a couple weeks not, Googling the hell out of it, what I wanted to know is if there is a site where I can download the hero ring tones and notifications. I mainly want this for the text notification that was on 2 or 3 hero roms that I tried. The tone says "woooohooo I got a text" when you get a text message, If anyone knows where I can find that at I'd be very thankful.

So I don't know how many of you guys are annoyed by I am pretty annoyed by not having custom text ringtones. Microsoft FINALLY put custom ringtones but they left out for text. I text a lot more than I am on phone so I am wondering if theres any way to add custom ringtones for txt. Maybe way to go into registry and change the tone itself but leave the name of it as it is perhaps? Hope someone got an answer for it
