I think my phone is messing up the download, how big is this file supposed to be? I keep getting between 6.70 kb and 7.00 kb ( it fluctuates ).

Its supposed to be 14.9mb. I had the same problem downloading the CM ROM. My phone wouldnt not download the filr right but on PC the link worked fine. Try PC. Im going to check the upload and see if something went wrong.
how about clock widget? can u show a pic?
I just tried from a PC after trying from the phone.
Just takes me to a blank wepage with the url ending in *.zip but nothing downloaded. I really want to try out this theme, too!
I added a mirror for Rapidshare since there have been reports that zShare has been causing download problems. I hope this helps you all.

wow this is a sweet theme...the rapidshare link worked for me after issues with zshare. No offense to the other ubuntu theme rolling around, but this is a full on THEME, not just a change in the color of menu selections.
Only one request: translucent notification bar on pulldown (it is currently 100% black and I do like the translucency of most roms/themes).

I actually haven't even looked into this yet but now that you mention it I will get on that and update the OP with the status of that along with the update for the new ROM version (4.1.7).
I like the change to the battery and the look of the widget. Oh and whats the status on the CM Updater?

I tried to flash it last night and had some issues. Flashed CM 4.0.4, then flashed this theme. Hung at the boot screen for 10 minutes. Pulled battery, booted into recovery. Flashed CM 4.0.4 again, booted normal. Flashed theme again and hung at boot screen. Pulled battery, ran nandroid from last run (old theme) booted normally. Not sure what the issue is...

I'll be looking into it. I'm not going to pull it just yet but I am going to warn 4.0.4 users. I use the experimental builds so i did just enough testing on 4.0.4 to know it booted (on my device). I'll look deeper into it and see what I missed.
Good start! Have you figured out the power widget thing for 4.1.9.2? Looks like you're using the gChrome one with transparency (which I was going to do as well).
There is still a 1px error with global search I need to fix - which carried over to your theme. I should be fixing it later this week - then you can pull the files from there.

I havent touched the global search but i will now that i've noticed that.
Updated for CM 4.1.10.1. The last version is completely compatible. I simply flashed the new ROM, then flashed the theme again.
I've been messing with this and have added/edted the new lockscreen but unfortunately I cannot change the color of the statusbar text to white. So for now I am going to leave this theme as it is and begin work on a new one as soon as I figure out what. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded this theme and for any that want the theme with the new lockscreen and black statusbar text, just let me know.

The new colorchange version 3 works wonders on any version now, even with Stericsons lockscreen. There is an experimental version 3 near the last page of posts on the colorchange thread.

btw the lock screen arc is just darker so nothing too special there
just comment if anything needs fixing/adding
if someone wants this ported for 2.8 (modaco) i can do that too [theoretically it doesnt have to be ported, but do a nandroid backup for sure if you try this theme on 2.8 ]

first of all thanxs for this, I have a question regarding how to do u pack framework-res.apk ? i tried making some changes and after saving it in the apk, the size goes down and i go into a bootloop. anyhelp would be appreciated. thanxs.
Edit: strange thing is I just used winrar on windows for the first time, only replaced the png and it worked. I tried everything on mac to change the images in a zip and non of them worked. So i guess windows PC does have it usefulness after all. lol

someone made a nice prog to make it easy to do so iv been using it, but im surprised yours actually installed if you didnt sign it! :s
i just used ur framework-res.apk, wanted to try different flavor for battery notice, i just swapped the .png files and push'ed it through and reboot, no FC and bootloops, hehe. I didn't do mess with the whole recovery/update proces

Yeah. Copy to root in your sdcard, reboot in recovery mode (home + power) and flash zip.

it is mt3g supported. he just put that there because he only has a g1 and has tested it on that. almost all themes on here that run on the g1 run on the mytouch, so don't worry .

You need to install MetaMorph (its in the market)
These are NOT flashable zip files!
The main reason for using MetaMorph is that themes can be used all roms that share the original base when designing a theme.

just do a backup for safety as i dont have a cdma device to test on.

you are correct, not all artwork as been changed however the great thing about metamorph skins is anyone can change the artwork then put them back into the zip. There is no need to sign any files so feel free to change and repost anything you want

After testing "black mix" myself on a new install of Modaco 3.0 you are correct it does not seem to like the theme
I have amended my original post with a warning.
On a side note I would advise anyone using Modaco 3.0 and stuck in a boot loop just to pull the battery and re-flash the rom without a wipe, this will bring you back from dead

I have a noob question. After I've applied a zip do I have to keep it on the SD card? I like to keep mine as clean as possible and if I don't need them on the card I would remove them. Oh, if I can make a request. Can you make an dark orange theme as well? I've always liked that orange/bronze look. Thanks.

you can delete the folder / files after you have applied them.
@ratcom, you mentioned for the black them not to use on Modaco 3.0 roms. Is there a specific reason for it and does this mean all other themes posted ar Modaco 3.0 compatible ?
Hey all, I did the best I could to get this to Darkstar on open eclair 1.2.1 baconweave.
This is a full rom so you will need to do a full wipe before flashing.
I did not build this rom so thanks to the open eclair team for an excellent 2.1 rom and I would also like to thanks to all the brilliant design minds that created Darkstar. It is by far my favorite theme. That is why I did this. I can only hope they will create a real theme for open eclair releases.

Have at it. This was only my second time messing with themes so I did the best I could with the limited knowledge I have. I just finished with the framework-res.apk, the services.jar and the launcher.apk for 1.2.2

yo dude change your default launcher to regular and your phone will speed up 300%.
Not kidding, that thing is a RAM HOG
Dude wud that matter much since the gl drivers have been updated to the point the entire thing wud be faster and once 1.2.3 comes out that wud be way faster wudnt it plus I've taskilled launcher 2 and restarted and everything is fine not like its a loading screen on a sense rom anyway
