I've some problem with Manila 2.5:
1) when I tap on Manila 2.5 *HomeScreen* bookmark shotcuts they open with Pocket IE. I searched *everywehere* in registry but I can't find where to set Opera as default browser for HomeScreen.
The strange thing is that html files are opened by Opera and also bookmarks from internet tabs. Opera is my default browser in Windows and also in Manila (DefaultBrowserIsIE = 0).
Can you try if in your ROMs it works fine?
I think it's a problem of HomeService.dll and I need a new version of this file from the latest release of Manila 2.5.
2) Where can I find the Manila 2.5 highlight/menu green image files? In my Manila when I tap on a menu from the bottom bar the highlighted item is gray and not green. I searched *everywhere* in any sections of xda-forum but I only found custom Manila skin and not default green one...
3) Where can I find FacebookEngine SDK files for Manila 2.1 and Manila 2.5? In my Manila 2.5 when I login in Facebook account Manila restarts... it's a Miri ROMs with WM6.1 and Manila 2.5, it's discountined but really fast and I want to make Facebook working on my own.
Thank you.
sorry for OT talk .. but which ROM are u using??

which ROM are you currently using? I remember some old Man 2.5 roms had this opera not being the default browser.
all the problems you mentioned are from some old Man 2.5 ROMs maybe a month or two old, so to my honest opinion, your only solution is to flash latest Man 2.5.1920.2525 and Win 6.5 ROMs, there are plenty in this thread. flash your pick. I recommend, Dutty Holy Grail R0, XannyTech v2.1, Miri Rev13, Energy 9Nov releases.
Yes, my ROM is old and discontined (MIRI's WM6.1 Manila 2.5) but it's more then 2 times faster then all others WM6.5 I've tried. So I want to stay with this, simply updating Manila packages.
Where can I find the latest Manila files to replace my older ones?

The Manila files you mentioned are not installable, they need to be cooked in when Chefs make the ROM. So there is no way you can proceed, you are facing a brick wall, flash another ROM, that is the only answer. When FallenSpartan sees this Thread you created, most probably he will close this.

Ok, and if I want to cook my own ROM, with latest WM6.1, latest Manila 2.5 packages and latest Opera 9.7 (and also other software) where can I find the files I need and how-to?
This would be my first time cooking, I don't know anything about cooking ROMs but I'm informatic engineer and I can learn...

Hi all,
Add a Call History Tab on your TF3D.
** Thanks to sushilange, for his help in giving me the names of files to change.
!!! --> Please, Backup your original file before to apply this tweak.
The file to backup is "\Windows\26948339_manila
sushilange asks me to add this recommandation, it's really important :
If you use Diamond TouchFlo3D and you had hide tabs or changed the tab order,
you have to delete "\Windows\26948339_manila_disabledtabs" before adding the call history.
If they do not delete these file, they got for example two "Music"
entries in the tab list in Sushilange tool. After that everything is going wrong.
With .CAB :
- Disable TF3D plugin in your Today settings
- Apply the CAB file (soft reset auto)
- Activate TF3D
- Enjoy
Manualy : (zip files in attachments)
- Disable TF3D plugin in your Today settings
- Unzip the file in an empty directory in the internal Storage.
- Use Total Commander (for example) and copy both files into \Windows
- Activate TF3D
- Enjoy
For those with problems to add the tab manualy :
Here another way to install it. Thanks to lucasjohny.
Use TF3D Config 0.6 by Sushilange to modify the tab order.
It seems that this tweak does not work properly with the following ROM : (updated 22/07 - 12:53 pm)
- DiamondTeamProject V2 ROM
- Bepe 0.94 and 0.95's ROM ----------> be fixed with CallHistoryTab_Bepe0.95_Fix
- Panosh Light 4 WWE ROM
- 1.93.456.2 WWE stock ROM ---------> be fixed with CallHistoryTab_Bepe0.95_Fix
- waiting for other feedback ...
Fixed files :
Thanks to hearthwork !
Updated for O2 TF3D users on O2 Stock ROM ... (25/07)

Same is happening on DiamondTeamProject V2 and My Cell phone operator is Airtel India but its showing T-Mobile as operator
I'm really interested in this tab..
but i was wondering whether this would be compatible with:
ROM: TLR v3
& Tom's Manila Cab (which features the colored TF3D menu icons)
Anyone tried this yet? Especially using it together with Tom's Manila Cab??
Will this new tab also use a colored icon or the standard HTC Black menu icon?
Thnx in advance..

That's why I preferred to specify "in your TF3D Original (HTC)" in the tittle of this thread, cause I don't know if it works on cooked ROM.
lol fabliv...is there anybody on xda-devs using a non-cooked rom??? :-D
The tab itself works under Bepe's rom build 0.95 only the clock doesn't like this add on...it keeps scrolling until 12:59 and then stops.
I hope you guys can get this to work under all ROM's ;-)

Dear my Friends,
I post this thread to present and collect All Solutions, Useful and necessary cabs for Original Rom on HTC Touch Pro (Raphael). Actually this thread is for those people who don't like to change their Official Rom to cooked or unofficial Roms like me! because of i think somehow the Official rom is more stable and reliable and i don't like to change it with cooked roms, You know there are many Roms which cooked in this forum and i just confused which of them are really stable and i can't stand changing my Roms every moment of time and i don't have enough time to test that Roms,
So let's have Issues and Solutions of Official Rom in this post and i'll be glad if you know or introduce some of them and help us to have a better and stable Official Rom. and i'll be add and collect in this post to have a better access.
Issues:
-----------------------------
1- Time Problem in messaging in TF3D
2- Add just battery percentage level (i need the cab that just add the battery percentage level for example on the top of the battery, Not to change other network signs)
3- Add Zoom in and Zoom out icons in messaging.
4- .Net Framework 2.0
5- Low earphone Volume (Maybe you don't have this problem, it depends on your operator)
Solutions:
-----------------------------
1- Use This cab file to fix that problem
2- ?
3- ?
4- Here is .Net Framework 3.5
5- Download this file (Thanks to xda wiki!) and Go to the folder /Windows,search for audiopara3.csv, MAKE A BACKUP, use resco explorer/total commander and copy the new audiopara to /Windows and soft reset.
P.s: if you know any other issues or solutions on Original rom PLEASE help us and this thread.
yous truly.

If you want to dump an "unprotected" rom of your choice, put it in the folder/Tools/RomSaved/Ruu_signed.nbh
Click in the visual kitchen under left on the field "Dump nbh/nb/payload", there will be made a new folder in
/Tools/RomSaved/dump with the extracted rom of your choice in it.
Now use the content of this folder as the base of your new kitchen.
I'm a "USER" myself so don't think I can solve all your problems.
I started this kitchen thread to help everybody to build their own rom for the BlackStone.
The blackstone kernel can't handle many modules in the native kernel.
The WM 6.5 native kernel is patched for use with the BlackStone.
Now use the content of this folder as the base of your new kitchen.
Don't use spaces in your kitchen folder name like this "c:\My Kitchen" but use it like this "c:\My_Kitchen".
Don't blame me as you brick your device, you are using this tool at your own risk.
Don't thank me, say thank you to Bepe, Ervius, Da_G and "ALL WHO SHARES" for there nice work
thanks man will u update kitchen with new build and OEM
could some one give a guideline how to cooking from this kitchen ? tks
Follow the step by step guide and you are able to build your own rom
Hello and many thanks for posting this!
Just built a test rom using this kitchen. Not changed anything.
My rom boots fine and looks good and is nice and fast. But the SD card is not listed in file manager. It seems to be missing from the system all together.
Any idea?
Thanks
the kitchens oem seems to be messy when trying to make clean rom i get extra files like BBC player autovolume pls try to clean kitchen
I connected through active sync and can reach the SD card on my device,
I dumped and extrcted rom 156 wwe in the kitchen and then added the sys and xip from 21232 and 21232 to it .
So all the drivers and so on should be in the kitchen, and I didn't take anything out.
@vjsxda
The dump is from 156 rom and the xip and sys are 21231 and 21232 nothing more in it.
Load rom "premium.erv" and then double click on "true" in the first row, the whole way down and enable or disable anything you want to build your own rom.
Save rom under any name you like for futer use.

not sure whats going on then! I ripped a standard 1.57 rom into it and built that and my SD shows up. Yet when I build it from the kitchen you posted I get no SD card.
No idea whats going wrong! I will try extracting the kitchen again.
To make your own clean kitchen put any not protected ruu_signed.nbh in the folder /Tools/RomSaved.
Click in the kitchen on the button "Dump nbh/nb/payload" and a new dump of the kitchen will be created in the folder /dump with all the folders like /Ext, /Oem, /Sys, /Rom from the extracted ruu_signed.nbh in it.
Then add any build xip and sys in the /Rom and /Sys folder and make your own build rom with the OS you want

When you do not check the xip,oem and sys fields Under Hide in the top left corner of the kitchen Ervius says you can rebuild your rom.
I tried but it didn't worked for me
Sorry wrong answer from my side
Ervius did made a version were you could check a field "unprotect" but it worked not out the wright way so he took it back.
The fields I mentioned above you can use when you build your own rom and you don't want to make any changes to this parts, you can hide them and so use this parts as they are before.

Problem...just did a test. Build rom using the "Real 6.5 AKU" option, my HD just stuck at smart mobility screen. While not choosing 6.5 AKU option, rom is good to boot, but the 1st boot screen is WM 6.1, then it comes a WM6.5 screen. Phone running a bit sluggish, and system settings like Device Information, G-Sensor, TouchFlo, cannot be launched. I am on HardSPL 1.56. Anyone having the same problem?

Hello
I had exactly the same problem.Everything was sluggish,no SD card was shown some apps didnt work like the ones you mentioned.
I had to use a tool called recmod on the browsing folders. As soon as I did this my next rom build was super fast and speedy with no sluggish performance at all.
My SD card was shown correctly and the apps that wouldnt work now work OK.
---
I then decided to make my own Kitchen using the 1.57 Base instead. Ported the new SYS and XIP in and my rom is working first go.
Sweet.

That's because your the XIP doesn't contain a "native 6.5" nk.exe (kernel) and it can't handle as many modules as a real 6.5 kernel would. Therefore, you can only check that box on a Touch Pro ROM for now.
As you can check in this thread from ervius http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469420 the man behind this kitchen many problems are solved here.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469420 post 839 you can read the whole story.
The blackstone kernel can't handle as many modules as the native kernel of the ralph (which is where I assume you got that latest 6.5 release).
So what you have to do is "flatten" some of these modules. In other words, you have to turn them back into regular files. You can do that with recmod.exe found in the \tools folder. I would start with all the files in browsing, browsingcore and browsing IE. You coudl also not include "myphone" or "skybxo" and "windows live" which has a crapload of modules. If it boots without including those, then you're good. Just turn them all into files

Hi all!
I'm new at this, but I'd like to learn how I download a normal ROM, and then change the icons and background images, add and remove programs, change the language etc.
I will not go in and change the very advanced stuff.
I've already downloaded this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625971
I do not know if it is correct (or latest), and what more I need. But the easiest might be to go into an already completed the ROM and then just adjust what I have mentioned above.
Hoping for constructive answers
Sincerely,
PS! I've already downloaded and tried different ROMs, so I know how I am doing just that.

What if you try Mondilv ROM kitchen. His kitchen is on the latest official ROM based and works fine. I based my private ROM on his work.

The kitchens are the same, it depends what ROM is used as a base. As far as I know, there is no kitchen shared with 6.5.3 ROM, you will have to do it by yourself. The SYS and XIP files for 6.5.3 are somewhere here in the forum available, EXT and OEM can be found as well.
I've looked at this video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6LEUx4wEk4&translated=1 but I can't find a program that looks like that. Which program is it that I need to use? I've tried NBHUtil, but that doesn't seemed to be the right one...
I'm actually just gonna do what I was saying in the first post, and when I manage to do it, I will experiment further.

Search for Ervius Visual Kitchen or EVK, and you will find it.
Available as well on my mirror in the kitchen folder. Check my signature for the link.
I think I just give up all these OEM, EXT, MsXIP files, etc.
But is it possible for me to get into the "windows" folder on the ROM I use? I would like to change such as icon images, erase and install other programs and may change the language (which is not very important, but had been fine), etc.
I see that I can get into the "windows" folder on your mobile, but it takes so long to sit there to puzzle. It is easier through the laptop, with mice and larger screen.
Thank you for following up this thread, BeeGee_Tokyo

You can use a file explorer like Total Commander or Resco File Explorer on your device to overwrite or delete files in the Windows folder. However, as long as you do not know what the files that you are deleting are doing, the device might hang afterwards and you have to do a hard reset.
If you want to change icons/pictures of the Sense (aka Manila aka TouchFlo) you can use a tool named Manila Editor.
If you want to change other icons/pictures, they are sometimes in DLL files. Usually you cannot replace them, because they are "in use" by Windows.
Back again to the kitchen, you can find the kitchen that you saw in the youtube movie prepared with a ROM for Topaz here in the forum.
I published my kitchen, check my thread.
Don't worry, even the ROM has a Japanese name, it is based on an English WM6.5 ROM. Not that advanced as Dutty, Mondilv, Iljanok, Patensas, Aman, ......... ROMs, but stable and good for daily use.
PM me if you have specific questions on the kitchen.
Now I'm downloading mondilv's kitchen v.4.1.
That's 6.5, and in english language. Do anyone know where I can find a ROM that runs WM6.5.3 that I can use as ROM-base? (ex. the newest official ROM on htcpedia?)
A summary so far:
1. I have dumped this ROM and have it as a base; http://htcpedia.com/official_norwagian_rom_update_for_touch_diamond2/soft/htc-topaz-rom.html?page=1 (0414 = norwegian language)
2. Downloaded all three .zip files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5310417&postcount=344) and using the build 23518 in SYS, EXT and ROM folders.
3. Disabled some of the programs I do not want (although I do not quite understand what all programs do, of course I understand that YouTube is YouTube, etc. but ...)
4. Set page pool to 20 (no idea what this means but have seen that it is most common: P)
So some questions:
5. Why is there not a automatically "device id"? What is this?
6. How do I add programs (eg Skype, mySpot)? Can I add these. Cab files into the EXT folder?
7. If I want to remove various tones, images, icons of the programs, how can I do this?
So a few questions about Ervius Visual bebe's kitchen v.1.8.2:
8. What is LZX Compression?
9. What is OLD style ROM?
Would've been nice if someone could help me
Is there anyone that can help me with these few questions?

5. Not sure what this error is.
6. To add programs you must find the OEM package and add it to the Ext folder, cabs will not install from the kitchen.
7. I would search the kitchen for .wav, .mp3, .jpg, .png, .gif etc. to for items to customize. make sure they are exactly as they were before you replaced them as far as resolution, filenames, etc.
Icons and manila are more indepth so it is best to find a theme package that suites your tastes. I strongly suggest looking into max Manila as and OEM package.
8. LZX compression is a file compressor that reduces the overall size of the ROM. it can cause issues but it is always good to try it.
9. Old style ROM, I believe this is to use old style packages and normally would not be used.
Ok, thanks for answering
Point 5 is critical, because I can't save or create a ROM without a device id.
Does anybody know why or how I can get it?
5 : I have in my EV Kitchen TOPA10000
6 : cab to oem to ext

Thanks for the link
The problem with the device id is that it doesen't show/make an id automatically, and I can't wright anything there so it's kind of difficult do make a device id. And as I mentioned before, I can't save or create a ROM without the id.
Is there anyone that can help me how to get a device id?
Is it because the base I'm using?
go to KITCHEN FOLDER/ROM and there is file info.txt, I have got in that file this text
Topaz
DPI_192
dpi_192_resh_480_resv_800
MODEL:TOPA10000
CHUNK:64
perhaps this is what you need, can't help you better because my laptop is broken at the moment

I have this:
1. I have dumped this ROM and have it as a base; http://htcpedia.com/official_norwagi...om.html?page=1 (0414 = norwegian language)
2. Downloaded all three .zip files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=344) and using the build 23518 in SYS, EXT and ROM folders.
But when you're using that kitchen, are you having WM6.5.3?
What I want is to remove Manila, set norwegian language, have WM6.5.3 (not 6.5) and add/remove some programs and ringtones/wallpapers.
Where can I get BeeGee's kitchen? Just to try it...
I've seen lots of people here are not really happy with WM 6.5 default lockscreen
so i wanna to share simple custom lockscreens
before every thing i would like thank joel2009 for his great guideline
New N3 Beta LockScreen is now available (QVGA)
and to whom just want LockScreen like WP7 here is sth similar to that
- Big clock similar to WP7
- New alignment for Date and Appointments
- New Windows 7 slider
.................................................................................................
Just extract and replace files in the following folder into the windows directory ( using resco file manager, etc) and soft reset
that is all
OR
for whom don't have enough time to do that, here is a cab file
thank to Uppy
Enjoy
...................................................................................................................................
Note:This only supports Portrait mode yet,Landscape will be available soon
...................................................................................................................................
This LOCKSCREEN does not work on Original HTC roms
Caution: If any of the LockScreens didn't work on your device or damage it, plz just unistall the cab file normally (start>setting>system>remove programs), there is no need for Hard reset
VGA/WVGA cabs have been deleted till i correct them
Just Enjoy
Excellent one!
