Anyone who can show me the free download link for the barcode scanner ? I've failed to search through the web ... sorry I'm a totally newbie in Android
Search for barcode in the Market app on your phone.
It should find it OK.
i found it !! But sometime the barcode is invalid to retrieve data via browser .. is it normal ?

The application's web site seems to me to have circular logic when it comes to installing the AppBrain app itself on the gTablet. After a frustrating week, I am asking for help. What am I doing wrong? I do have a validated account.
A side question. Is it worth the effort to install?
Thanks.
Tom
AppBrain is a Market filter and search index not a repository
The device must be open to the regular Market for AppBrain to work. In other words, Market must function correctly first, then AppBrain should work under "normal" Android conditions.
I appreciate your reply but I don't understand what to do. All I want is a direct link to the apk file for "mydlink Lite" to see my wireless cameras, but all I find are QR scan images. I haven't figured out how to make that work since I have a Blackberry phone. It shouldn't be that complicated.
Do you have Market installed on your tablet. Not "gmarket" but "Market". Are you running a stock tablet? Without the market installed on your tablet appbrain won't work.
EDIT: If you install the Market, the app you are looking for is available

My tablet is stock and only the gMarket is installed. Thanks for the pointers and I'll do the reading you suggest. No WiFi on the cross-country train travel so I'm just catching up with everything.

I've never used it, from what I've read, Appbrain doesn't have the APKs themselves. It's just a way to see what's in the Google Marketplace. So, when you find something on Appbrain, and want to get it, you actually end up getting from the Market, not from Appbrain.

Where can i get links to market app's QR codes ?
I've tried appbrain's but the qr codes only links to appbrain's
Not sure if there is one. There is a apk posted on here though so you could try searching the forum.
lol i just scanned your QR code
so the android market apps doesn't really have QR codes with them ? i need to manually make them ?
I think there may be a bit of a Panda situation going on here. Do you want the QR for the "Market app" or for Market app's?
If it is the latter then click on the QR code tab to slide it into sight (on Appbrain) then scan and choose open browser, go internet and it will open up the Android App Market for you at the appp.
i want the QR for the market app's
the QR code from appbrain links to appbrain. so instead of scanning and directly going to the market, it brings me to appbrain's site. i want the codes that brings me automatically to the market app.
the reason for this is that i'm making (made) a blog that reviews apps and whatnot and i want the QR code for easy access to the market.
As far as I was aware the QR code displayed on Appbrain in the drop down box is a direct link to the Android Market when scanned by a smart phone. Mine always works that way and I have just re-installed nearly 200 apps which I backed up in Appbrain (the apps don't get backed up just their identity you then re-install via the market)
we're clicking the same one right ? it's the "QR/mode" dropdown ?
if so check the link it points to http://www.appbrain....
i want the link to the market like the ones here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761517
it shows the link is market://...
i also just found out that i can get QR codes of the apps installed on my phone. it links to market://... so i guess if i really can't find qr codes of other android apps. i'll simply do that instead.
You can do it yourself, fallow this link : http://qrcode.kaywa.com/
Is there a way to download apps directly to my PC, instead of the Nook?
There are some apps that are "not compatible" in the market, but several times when I get them as standalone apk, I can install them and get them to run on the nook!
hello
i have some thing like that problem i download app from internet like acrobat reader for android and this app is in my download but when i hit it say error and didnt install
can any body help me?
http://tinyurl.com/3gnvuzq
or even EzPDF or mantano cuz it is way better.
http://tinyurl.com/4xqlw6x i know it is a bit "warezzy" but comparing to other it really doesn't have many of these illegal apps (not even 1% of their huge database). It is better than amazon appstore, because it both downloads and installs apps, instead of just downloading (root needed).
Felt a bit retarded looking at the solution... :S
It is just a bit obnoxious to download all the free software by looking at google, but considering the solution of installing android SDK, emulator, a rom with market, etc. - as I've recently seen on the internet - in order to find the appropriate apk, I think it is way better to google or use the black-mart app - even though I'm looking more for a way to circumvent device compatibility...
Thanks, domi.nos
BTW, whenever you do a search for an apk, lots of time you get to market links, and takes you back to the old android market - which is more than 75% of the links I get to find...
For me, the easiest way to install apps is threw market.android.com . I haven't had the problems i ran into using the app on the nook itself. When you hit the "Send to" button it just says "Phone" and will push to your nook.
Is anyone else having any issues with Google Authenticator? I am trying to set it back up on my new Moto X, however, each time I try to scan the QR code the app crashes. This occurs as soon as I select the option in the Authenticator app. I have reported this when it happens, I am able to add the key manually, but that is a PITA.
I have not had any issues. Are you using Barcode Scanner v 4.7.0?
No dedicated barcode scanner software, just the native camera. I don't think Authenticator would reference another app?
Added the barcode scanner software, works like a charm. THANKS!!!
While i didn't have that problem when i installed.. the inability to backup and have multiple devices for guath stuff made me move to Authy.. and that worked great right out of the box. Just another idea.. see if another tool works.
Hey everyone, im new here and do not know if this is the correct place to post this. But im using android studio to create a rewards app. Users can download games via offerwall (supersonic) watching videos, and downloading apps with adxmi. I recently fixed the login where if you register it shows the user up on the webpanel now. But if you register or login the app crashes once it starts to load up offerwall. I dont know if it is a problem with this or what. But there is no errors or anything in the build everything is 100%... Any recommendations ?
