Good morning.
I upgraded to 2.03 my rooted legend thinking I won't loose the recovery.
Now I cannot install any rom.
I know there are in shippedroms the originals ROMS to be installed when you have to send your Legend to HTC if it is broken or if fails.
My question is if I can install the old original rom, 1.23 or 1.31, usign my goldcard, and then root my legend again.
Best regards.
Hi, I think that is impossible to downgrade without root. It works on 1.31.x. You must wait for new root release... For next time it's better use rooted rom eg. Stock Legend: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=698421
Did you flash this rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=698421 or did you flash the stock 2.03 from vodafone?
I had 1.31 rooter, and I installed 2.03 from HTC.
It's my first Android, I thought I would lose the root, but not the recovery.
It's my fault, and I have learned this lesson.

Yes you can go here http://67.228.111.202/shipped/Buzz/ and select the RUU rom you wish to go back to. download and save to ur pc then run the RUU with ur phone connected to the pc via the usb cable.
!!!NOTE IF YOU FLASH AN OFFICIAL FROYO ROM YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET ROOT!!!

Thanx a lot,
but there are many ruu version here and no one is like mine...
is it a problem?
if i do a nandroid, can i restore mine stock rom version after flash a cooked rom?
Thanx again
Which one is yours? You can flash a WWE RUU if you cant find yours in the list.
BTW, It is recommended to take a 1.XX RUU from that site, because 2.XX RUU's are Froyo RUU's, and, you will not be able to root them if you require it in the future (As of now).
As for a Nandroid Restore, if you had taken a Nandroid backup of the Stock ROM after Root, yes, you can restore it back and get back your Stock ROM from a Custom ROM. If not, then flashing the RUU is the only way.

i've not flashed again my buzz but i want to do it and so i've not unrooted it.
i've the stock rom upgraded to 2.22.405.1, so i ask to me if i do a nandroid now before flash another rom, then i can do a restore of it... sorry but firt of all i'm italian an i don't speak a read english very well...
thanx for your patience
Yes, you can restore your phone to the state it was right before you did the nandroid back-up.
Make sure you have enough space on your SD card before doing the back-up, say 500MB or more. And save that back-up to your PC for safe-keeping, it's in the "Clockworkmod" Folder on your SD card.
If your stock ROM (that you are restoring) is a version earlier than your custom ROM, do you need a goldcard?
If you are restoring to an earlier stock ROM to the stcok ROM on your phone, do you need a goldcard?

If I understand you correctly, you are having official 2.22.405 at this moment? If so, you will not be able to take a Nandroid Backup, or, install a Custom ROM, or, go back to a previous ROM, because, all of the above requires root, and, the official 2.XX ROM's cant be rooted as yet. You have lost root when you upgraded to 2.22.405.

No to both. Goldcard is just required for debranding purposes. (If you have taken backups of old ROM's)
I have an htc wildfire from vodafone with android 2.1 but I want to change the voda rom and install the htc official rom. I don't want to unlock I only want to change the vodafone rom with these ugly icons and applications and install the htc rom. So how I make this? I need to root? Only installing the official RUU.exe?

No, you will need a Goldcard to debrand your Wildfire. Just search the forums, there are guides on the same.

If you are on official 2.2.1, there is nothing you can do at all, except wait, till a solution arrives.

Need to change region from Asia to Europe, but Europe has lower version, so i want to flash ROM via recovery, not fastboot.
you can do it by making goldcard. googling it, and you'll find it. im pretty sure. you may read my post about the way i managed the RUU europe, it is O2 UK, from my first rom, Asia WWe.
mm i now have stock 2.3.3 installed, but **** all else! no root, no cwm recovery menu! and its being a right **** letting me redo it all!
after 45mins, ive reinstalled cwm again and flashed back the version i had problems with. what the hell went off i dont know!
bigbear, its better if you stay in stock rom. if it has no cwm, you can make it your self.
just do the adb shell :
adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/IT-IS-YOUR-RECOVERY-NAME.img
So i flashed blackrose hboot and ics, but i dont like it and i dont do nandroid backup. I Want to get back to stock vodafone rom with dutch support because my english is rubbish. I found frf91 passimg but says main version older update failed. Any help? Ps my bootloader is unlock

Ehm these are wwe roms (world wide english) They dont have eu langauge like dutch. i need vodefone european rom. Also i heard that downgrading hboot on slcd nexesus is brick. I have slcd.
Hi I've had my HTC one since june/july and decided I get on the rooting bang wagon.
Managed to unlock bootloader and everything looked fine, tried to install kitkat rom and well it went down hill from there as it wouldn't install and after that wouldn't do anything other than reload into cwn recovery. I'd not done a back up like a clown or took note of any of my firmware, kernel versions. managed to learn how to push rom via adb and fastboot. thing is I panicked as I did'nt want a bricked fone and stuck on stock odex rom.
its runs fine but would really like to have uk unbranded rom and firmware back on or atleast know where to find it before I attempt to stick either google edition software or kitkat again but hopefully a little more succesful. I've also now managed to s-off

As you managed to s-off, there are 2 ways. The first being to run the 1.28.401.7 RUU (http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_ul_jb_50_htc_europe_1-28-401-7_radio_4a-13-3231-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/), to downgrade and then update to the latest.
Or easier way would be to flash the latest 3.62.401.1 GURU RESET ROM here: http://www.htc1guru.com/2013/10/guru-reset-3-62-401-1-stock-rom/ That includes the options to go to complete stock.
