get-a-robot-vpnc help

I have been trying to get the get-a-robot-vpnc (http://code.google.com/p/get-a-robot-vpnc/) package to work on my HTC Vogue for some time. I am currently running the eclair 2.1 mssmision build.
I have gotten pretty far I think.. but need some help. Here are the steps that I have followed up until now.
1. Compile tun.ko module for Vogue
I followed these instructions to get the vogue kernel locally: http://www.androidonhtc.com/get_involved
After step 5 in that list, make sure to select the "Device Drivers->Network Device Support->Universal TUN/TAP device driver support" (select as M for kernel module)
After step 6, build the kernel modules: "make modules ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-"
2. Put tun.ko onto the vogue permanently
Set the /system partition writable

#mount -o remount,rw /system
In a different terminal, push the tun.ko over to the /system/lib/modules dir

adb -d push ~/android-kernel/kernel/drivers/net/tun.ko /system/lib/modules
Back in the first terminal, set the system volume to read only again.

#mount -o remount,ro /system
3. Install the latest get-a-robot-vpnc package
Download from website and push to device:

adb -d install VPN_Connections_v097.apk
It is installed to /data/data/org.codeandroid.vpnc_frontend directory.
I put in the correct settings to connect to my companies vpn. (These same settings work perfectly on my ubuntu machine)
When I run the program I see on logcat:

But when i shell into the phone I see the process running:

At this point the network is hosed and in order to get it back I have to reboot.
Trying it manually
In order to see what is happening with vpnc, I shell into the phone and run the program manually.
First I need to ensure the tun.ko is loaded:

You can see the command string for vpnc in the /data/data/org.codeandroid.vpnc_frontend/files/lastConnection.txt file.
I run this command:

At this point I seem to be connected.. but can't actually ping anything on my company network, or get to any websites.
I am not very strong with networking.. so I feel that maybe the routes are not being setup properly.. but I don't know:

[Q] installing of app on device failed

I've recently returned to work on an app I developed while ago (targeted then to 4.4). at the time I had a galaxy s2 for debugging and now I have s4 (i9500).
I tried to run the app while my phone connected and got installation failed. So I installed Android studio and imported (converted) and changed target to 5.0.1 (my phone's version).
When I hit run (or debug) I get this message:

I've re-installed new version of my custom rom - result is the same
I took another phone (samsung s5) and install was success. connected my s4 again. same error.

Your project before conversion was built with Eclipse, if I understood it correctly? If so,
in Android Studio, the API targeting is not being read from the Android Manifest, but from the Gradle files.
In Android Studio, open (on your Project tree on the left), under the Gradle Scripts the build.gradle (Module: app) and check if inside the defaultConfig the targetSdkVersion has the correct API level. Then, press Build->Clean project from the menu bar on the top
If your application works with this String: INSTALL_NON_MARKET_APPS from the Settings.Global class , it is deprecated in API level 21, so use INSTALL_NON_MARKET_APPS from the Settings.Secure class instead. Check here.
I think it has to do with this class, the getString method with the above String that has been deprecated. I could help you further if I knew how is your app accessing this class or any code related to that
The S5 you tested has custom rom? Can you post the full logcat with the S4?

[Q]what are mount points ,there use and how to set them for specific devices!

I have a kindle fire hd 7 and i have been trying to get Linux on my tablet for learning Linux at an introductory level. The terminal though keeps telling me that there are no user defines mount points!!! Although Linux works through the terminal.....I am unable to get GUI rendering using android vnc please help me out

I think its a GUI rendering problem with the debian.img file and not the mount point error but I still want to understand how to mount to system and stuff like that . please help out!!!!

Cyanogenmod 13.0 - Help needed to run Setup Wizard

I have a problem where the home button on isn't responding and the notification draw doesn't work. Research suggests this is because I dirty flashed to a newer build of CM13. I found an article where the following is given as a fix:

Unfortunately it returns the following error:

Can anyone suggest a way to launch the Setup Wizard as I believe it will solve the problems with home button and notifcation draw.

Late reply but experiencing the same problem. I tried .SetupWizardTestActivity as well but that's not the right command either.
Seems it's the correct package but the wrong command... Or it needs to be activated but how?

General issue in Android Studio - Cannot launch AVD in emulator.

I could not find an answer on how to preload the expected libaries so I hope anyone can help me here.
I am a complete noob In devloping with Android Studio.
I tried to write a small app and ran it with the following errors while loading th e AVD (Android 5.1 , WVGA):
