Hello. Is there any rom made with 6.5 and the new htc manilla with calender??

Manila work good with wm6.5.
Have a problem when you go to start and choise some apps, in softkey have the lock device. If you tap lock device, you have problems, need reflash the rom, because the unlock is in today... and if you have manila dont tap unlock...

I've tried 6.5 and found that the only thing I like is the honeycomb start menu. Apart from that just realised TouchFlo makes all the difference. So why not 6.1? Am I missing something?

WM6.5 ROM version for HTC V21A TouchHD:
- Based on OS 1.19.831 WWE
- Use the appropriate OEM from HTC and Topaz Rhodium
- New HTC Manila Topaz
- XIP and SYS from WM6.5 (Core 21193) XBETA sources.

There are, you just have to spend a few min. looking. The one in my signature has it, and Miri's Rom, and others. Any that have new topaz manila will have the caleder.

I'm using Miri v10. It have both New Manila and Titanium. You can choose which to use in your theme items selection.
Its fast and stable.

i'm a new ROM Cooker and i would like to create a german ROM with the topaz manila. Davidueck help's me a lot but, i don't know which OEM's from the Rhdoium an topaz i need to get manila v3 from topaz working. I just want to know which packages musst be in the rom for a working manila.

No.
manaila has to intergrated into the ROM so you'll never find a cab to install manila.

Manila 2.5 was in a few cooked roms but was found to be riddled with bugs and unusable for everyday use. Due to this, the chef's reverted back to manila 2.1 on their next rom. Namely NRG, Miri & Throy
As stated by blastman manila is integrated into the rom and will never be available on a .cab or .exe file for installation. Only way to go between manila versions is to flash a rom with different version on it.

Well this is the first time i cook room or research about rom cooking for my diamond.
I've been trying to port WM6.5 build 28205 and 28014 but the thing is PocketIE doesnt work, thus many program relates to PIE Core dont work, too.
I read some posts on here and I think that may be Native Kernel is still 6.1 NK, so that the PIE doesnt work. And then i tried to dig in many ROMs of OMJ, Pegasus, etc. build 28014 and they'r not 6.5 NK, but 6.1 NK. And the PIE doesn't work, too.
So is there any solutions about this, either porting 6.5 NK XIP for CDMA Diamond (while GSM Diamond has been ported successfully) or make PIE works with 6.1 NK

Hi all,
it sounds like if you are not recmodding the browsers folders? are you? you are suppose to recmod the browsing folders if you are not using a native 6.5 Kernel. not Dpi neither language folders but core files folder for the browsing.

Searching everywhere i could not find a single thread dedicated for
blackstone windows mobile 6.1 ROMS
in different threads around i found out that a lot of people still prefer 6.1 versions of blackstone roms for its speed and reliability and I did try several ROMs for different cookers using 6.5 and 6.1 and i have to admit that microsoft windows mobile 6.5 is a great disappointment for a lot of people including myself ... its not the cookers its that windows mobile OS 6.5 sucks ...
therefore i have decided to create this thread to be the place to find the latest 6.1 ROM for our beloved blackstone and i hope we can find new ones here ... cookers stopped developing 6.1 for months now they say it is becoming something of the past and 6.5 is getting more and more builds everyday and trying each one requires flashing several times and it takes time so there is no more time for cooking 6.1 ROMs 6.1 that our blackstone was designed for ! and runs it so smoothly and faster than any ROM around ... looking at the benchmark you will find the first 20 to 25 fastest ROMs are running 6.1 !!
the latest 6.1 ROM i found is Topix 3.1.2 Oct.28.2009 not even in a thread of its own to separate it from 6.5 discussions it is a perfect ROM but I would love to run a 6.1 from NRG or Miri created in 2010 !

I did but i prefer Topix ... it is more stable and facebook doesnt crash manila at all and you do not need to edit registries for it to work
how about Laurentius ROM 3.55? even it's old but seems very promising

yes i know they are on the wiki but this list of 6.1 roms is much smaller than it should be and the latest of them is old what i am asking for is new 6.1 roms to be added to the list

I got lost with all this 6.5 and Sense stuff, was going to sell the HD is was so slow and annoying, flashed to Topix 6.1 and WOW, I had forgotten how fast the HD was...
Bring on some more 6.1 development PLEASE
topix wm6.1 is the way to go.
alas, if someone release a better (e.g. more preconfigured ) rom, i bet they would get lots of followers simply because the speed of wm6.1 is awesome
can someone posts an (active) link for a 6.1 ROM without Manila? the only i know is the Superlite by Onkolog but the link is dead...and i don't want thousand useless Manila files(over 40mb) on my HD, better MS3 for me...thanks

thanks, but Black Pearl ROM is based on 1.57.831.1 Build 20776, the latest WM6.1 ROM for Blacksone are 1.59 Build 21051...should be better, maybe

Really a question for the Chefs.
Guys,
There maybe a few issues with this.
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think MS has released any updated builds of v6.1 (Could be wrong) that our beloved chefs could get their hands on.
Not that I have any cooking skills but I would think that all our chefs have modded their kitchens to deal with v6.5.xx and may not be willing to take, what they may see, as a step back.
This of course is just my humble opinion but I guess the most likely thing to do would be to ask the chefs themselves.

I'm totally with you on that. I never use Manila when MS3 is so nice.
I do appreciate that cookers want to try and fit in the latest and greatest, but it seems to me the latest and greatest is just going to get slower and slower. The HD is great and all, but speedwise it's not much better than the ancient Blue Angel. Heh, thinking that makes me want to see if I still have an old BA lying around and see how IT handles 6.5!
In any case it seems fairly evident that 6.5 has some speed issues compared to 6.1. Now I have no idea personally why that is, whether it's just Manila or the OS itself. Regardless it'd be nice if 6.1 wasn't forgotten all together.

the latest build is 21055 as shown in the screen shot from topix rom 3.1.2 but this Rom has manila 2.1 ... it works fast as nothing else and the manila version without weather animation is very decent but you are asking for a rom without manila
this is one of the reasons I wanted this thread ! we do not even have a clean version of our favorite os with the latest build only manila versions
More 6.1 roms, 6.5 (sense) roms are not made for Blackstone!
ok, sense is looking cool, but why cant some one make 6.1 rom with colors at the tab. and just make it for speed and everyday use. no fancy stuff! FAST FAST FAST!
roms with 6.5 have 50% rom use. 6.1 roms have 32% rom use.. big differens i think..
