[THEME] Transparency Fusion v2.1 White For Modaco 2.9
As a request of Formel-LMS
NOTE BEFORE YOU START:
Standard disclaimer, I don't guarantee anything that might happen after following these steps. These steps worked for me and I have tried to include every steps. My phone is running Modaco 2.9 but this should theoretically work on any ROM. But no guarantees. So please do nandroid Backup 1st so if anything wrong happens you can do Nandroid restore.

Fantastic, love it. i sorted out the fonts with your ADB remount, i just wanna put some more detail on for people if you wanna use it thats fine:
* Download attached services.jar.zip and remove the .zip portion.
* Copy services.jar to your sdk tools folder - mine is C:\android-sdk-windows\tools.
* Open command prompt (right click run as administrator in Win vista & 7)
* Change directory - by entering "cd" without the quotes followed by the directory of your tools folder, mine is C:\android-sdk-windows\tools so i would put cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
* From command line run: adb remount
* also from command line: adb push services.jar /system/framework/
* Finally run: adb shell reboot
Your phone may take a while to boot but don't worry it will, also dont forget to do a NANDROID BACKUP! and make sure you have MoDaCo 2.9
If you need the android SDK go here:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
REQUEST: dying4004 is there anyway you could make system menus and stuff white and that patterned lock screen to make a true white theme? that would be awesome as i dont know anyone thats done that yet! Thanks

thnx for the nice walkthrough.
about white icons and stuffs..... i might give it a shot but its very time consuming. so i will try to manage some time in the weekend and give it a try. cheers
Now, I've got a Question.
This Theme is very nice, but it would be nicer, If the HTC Widgets are couloured, too.
I've coloured the Music Widget white, but the text is already white. White text on white ground isn't easy to read so far.
Does anybody explain me, how we get the text black or another colour?
Formel-LMS: bro try this as a result of fixed red pressed buttom u mentioned.
http://www.mediafire.com/?iromeqyqjzf
Thanks for the services.jar that returns the font color back to the original, would it be possible to upload the original theme so that a roll back can be achieved without having to do a nandroid restore. I do nandroid backups as a safety precaution anyways but it would be quicker just to re-install the original theme.
Thanks for the hard work... kudos
I modified the play icon in HtcMusic.apk and looks great in white bar.
But the problem is when I changed some icons in /framework-res.apk/res/drawable like "3G" and "G" data transfer, "Bluetooth" and some other so they look better with the white bar. Resign the apk, sign a update.zip, install without problems and get a loop.
I don't see what is the problem. I re-create an update.zip with originals apks (original black) with no problem and apply it, as I understand it's not a problem of the sign. Only by modifying a single icon, framework-res.apk get a loop
Any suggestions?
Awesome work! Gonna try this now
My SD card is filling up fast with themes today!
Any chance we could get the white notifications bar without the change in the bottom "dock"?
Really nice theme been using it for a day now and i realy like it

Android is really great, but there a few points of Android ownership that are a bit of a pain... one of which is installing APKs on your device. Enter installAPK!
The current release is Beta 1 - usual Beta caveats apply!
What it does
installAPK is currently for Windows only. After installation on your machine, you can double click APK files to install them on your USB attached android device. Simple as that!
Where do I get it?
Download the install EXE and USB drivers if required here at MoDaCo - http://shortun.com/3o
Anything else I should know?
This is the first Beta, tested on XP, Vista and Windows 7, but please post here with any issues!
P
PS Android SDK download / install is NOT required!
PPS More APK related fun coming from me soon!

Hi paul
nice to see you on here
your CAB file to phone app was great
will test this next time I need to install an app to install to my G1 from my pc
Regards
David
OMFG! You rock! <3
Nothing magic here...
It just runs 'adb install whatever.apk'.
Just as easy to simply associate "apk" files with the command "adb install".
Of course!
It does mean you don't have to manually download the SDK and grab ADB however... and just running this setup is easier than doing that, installing and associating.
It also puts a nicer GUI on it, a GUI that will be updated as development progresses, things like 'Save a copy of the APK on your storage card?' and much much more.
P
Wow will have to try it later
Might I suggest a Start Menu shortcut option, I created mine manually, but it'd be nice to leave the option to the user in the install process.
A start menu shortcut to do what?
P
To launch the program. I had to browse into the Program Files folder to launch it, and figured if it just automatically adds to the start menu, it's a tad bit easier.
Great app, but if your going to install a lot of apps after a wipe I find it better to setup a .bat file and just run it. After all the Hero roms I have installed it makes it 20 times faster. Here is the example on my batch file.
Code:
adb install apps\art.wild.gdocs.apk
adb install apps\at.abraxas.mountusb.apk
adb install apps\com.a0soft.gphone.aTrackDog.apk
adb install apps\com.androidapps.widget.battery.apk
adb install apps\com.ap.AppDock.apk

yeah I have the batch file in mt tools folder, and a apps folder that hold all my .apk in that tools folder as well.

Battery percentage mod by SMABERG
Ive made theese only for myself, but decided to share em cause of demand.
i dont take any responsible for damage to phone or malfunction, theese work on my phone, so they are tested though.
For theese mods to work, and for it to not go into bootloop, you got to put phone in bootloader(power on while holding vol.up) the use ADB from android SDK and run in commandprompt (in windows, startmenu, run, cmd) then input this command. Dont forget to enable usb debuging
adb shell mount /system (thanx for reminding me on this s60mike)
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/
A big thanx to theimpaler747 for making this mod work. and also for the gingerbread battery below

i have bionix rom works? it possible flash zip or only work to adb push? thanks
funny... adb does not recognize my device in bootloader mode, but fastboot does.
But when i turned on the phone in usb debugging mode, adb recognise my device.
So with the phone turned on, i used root explorer to set the permissions to /system/framework folder and used the above adb command line and it worked!
out of topic : ADB not recognized in bootloader mode but fastboot does, normal?
the blue one looks really sweet, might have to throw those files into tonight's CM7 nightly framework and give it a shot

I haven't been able to get ADB (of any kind, from any source) to run on my win7 64 bit machine...ever. I've had the SDK installed for a while now and have tried several times to get ADB working- today is no different.
Try the adb setup link in my sig!
But you don't need to know how to use adb to use this program
Edit: I got it. The link in your sig is what saved me. Checking this out now. Thanks!!

Trouble getting hard adb root on Captivate GB 2.3.5 ROM
Android Commander 0.7.9.9 at http://androidcommander.com/ xda link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=597098
I have a Samsung Captivate running a modified stock leaked GB 2.3.5 One flash ROM that has been Fugu rooted. TiBU, Rom Toolbox and other Super User apps all work.
So this program by PanPiotr looks like just what the noob in me is after, and I'm sure a few others out there too.
Once installed the program seems to be fine. I have one problem that I can't seem to overcome. That is getting a hard or adb root on the phone. I have tried to follow the instructions of PanPiotr but I don't have a boot.img file in my nandroid BU as outlined in his FAQs. Only cache.img, data.img, sd-ext.img and system.img I can use unyaffs-windows to extract the files in these but the default.prop appears to be calling to be loaded from ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-samsung, which I can't seem to find.
I can modify the default.prop ro.debuggable=0 to =1 with root explorer but just doing it in the root doesn't help. I can't seem to find out which IMG file in my nandroid BU has or how to modify the default.prop file loader to get the ro.debuggable=1 to take or stay.
Consequently the Root Access indicator always says Root Access:NO
Any help would be appreciated.
TYIA
Bud
May have this worked out.
So I flashed a custom rom and kernel. Connected Android commander to phone and I have Root access:OK. Program works great. Thanks PanPiotr.
On the brighter side of all this while in recovery mode of the new kernel (CornKernel_UCKJ3_v403) I found a way of switching the toggle for debugging enabled to on if that kernel works with the rom I was on then that will work. It should so I'll give that a try and let you know.
EDIT:
So I just finished and this worked brilliantly. Hope it helps someone else.
Bud

Once you have everything installed and the phone hooked up to the Mac in USB debugging mode, then start the Terminal app. Once the prompt comes up type: "/users/[username]/library/android/sdk/platform-tools/adb shell wm density 540"
Remember to change [username] to your "username". I also had to replug the phone in twice I believe before the command worked.

If you already have the Android SDK installed, make sure you also have the "SDK Platform Tools" installed, that's what you need to run ADB. If you don't see a folder titled "Platform Tools" you don't have the necessary files. Google around!
How does this effect battery or performance?

Sadly i finally gave up and went back to the stock 640. The camera and phone apps were driving me crazy as they were not designed to be responsive. Personally i think that everything on this phone is WAY to large on the screen and it makes the phone look Childish but until they make the Phone and Camera apps Responsive so that they fill the screen regardless of Density then i cannot use this
As we don't have root yet on the M preview, here is quick tutorial how to enable Muiltiwindow and change density.
You will need TWRP and Total Commander with adb plugin.
1. Boot the TWRP
2. Go to Mount and check the system checkbox
3. Plug the device to PC
4. In Total Commander go to network/adb/your device/system and find build.prop

}
5. Copy the file to some safe place for backup
6. Open the file in editor (F4)
7. Change the line
Code:
ro.build.type=user
with
Code:
ro.build.type=userdebug
8. You can also change the density in the line
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=480
I prefer 420.
9. Save the file and copy it back (if you change it on PC).
10. Done
Just FYI, there is a much more simple way to change the DPI without root. You just need a single ADB command.
With the phone powered on, just open up a window in terminal (OSX) or command prompt (Windows) like you would to perform fastboot or ADB commands, and type the following:
adb shell wm density DPI && adb reboot
Just replace "DPI" with the desired DPI. So if you want a 420 DPI, this will be your command:
adb shell wm density 420 && adb reboot
Then just hit enter, the phone will reboot, and voila! enjoy your new DPI.

To check, try to download 'Tinder'. Or go to the Store webpage from a computer and try to find an App that it's incompatible with your Nexus 5 (And it shouldn't)

In my case, I can't understand which is the second app he shows on the screen. I can chose one from recent menĂ¹, but the second seems to be chosen randomly!
Maybe I'm just tired

From the resent menu you can set the top and bottom windows.
When u then in some time launch one of them, it is still will be on top or bottom, but another one will be the last used, but it will not be scrollable some or them, or not always. Still a little buggy, . As the new "half frame" app will be on top.
But if you run both apps from resents that you made top and bottom, then they will both scroll.
The new photo app shows some display bugs with density set to 420

I start to understand! It's a big buggy, but it seems that it will improve a lot
It's a useful function, though

You might need to install the latest ABD and Fastboot, compatible with M Preview: https://github.com/simmac/minimal_adb_fastboot/tree/preview

I flashed a zip file posted by another user to enable multi window. Then did the adb command from this thread and its all working here.
Edit: here's the post I got the zip from. Flashed it and enabled multi window. Then I adb command DPI to 420. Working for me. Hope this helps
