flash create issue - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been getting an error when trying to execute the "Creat" executable that converts a png or jpg to the required rgb file of exactly 300kb needed for the boot flash pic ( the one that replaces the "G1" splash)- I found a guy in another forum that said he was getting the same error that also said he got it to work after updating the framework.net file- this doesn't make sense to me, but any help I could get I would very much appreciate....Chris
BTW- the error is "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)
is it because i need to put the CreateG1Splash.vshost.exe and the CreateG1Splash.pdb in a particular location?

i was sure that no application is opened then i did hard rest the installation continued succssesfuly but i got the same error message when i tried to install the cab file to upgrade photo contact to version 1.20
how can i solve this problem
find the dll file and rename it to say iacontacts.dll.bak and try to install the app... whenever u get that error message just rename the dll file that is in use and you're good to go
good luck
thanks very much
you are welcome

sorry for misleading, I meant every file. Even though they are not use, blablabla
Still after i restart the phone, any file still cannot be deleted.
Bizarrely this problem is commonly caused by Microsoft Pocket Word, which can lock up the entire filesystem.
Check this link for a solution:

Replacing welcomehead.192.png on Diamond?

Has anyone successfully replace the welcome screen image (welcomehead.192.png)?
I used Resco 2008 and try to replacing it but it reported "Cannot copy file 'welcomehead.192.png'. The file already exists.
It is not possible to delete this file (of course, it's the ROM file), I tried to rename it as many threads suggested (I do seached), also not working. It says "Access denied"
Anyone has successfully did it? or Diamond has the new protection technique of ROM files?

It's possible do it with Resco'08... when warnings appears just confirm to replace and... that's it.
soft-reset to see the new "welcomehead" wallpapper

I need help with Eclipse skd for editing .9.png files

After I have inserted the .9.png file into drawable-mdpi I right click on the project name (png edit) and go to "android tools" then "export unsigned app package" But I get an error message saying "Failed to export Png Edit C:\users\Devin|workspace\Png Edit\bin\Png Edit.apk"
What gives? Did I set it up wrong? This is my first time to edit a png and I did all the instructions on a thread and it went perfect till now.
Thanks
I haven't played around too much with the SDK, but have a project in a less than half completed stage(and haven't worked on it in 6 months or so). I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but there must be a more descriptive error somewhere because the one you are giving is very generic and could mean any number of things.
Well to my understanding it is saying a directory to where the apk is heading is non existent. So how to I change the directory?

[q] sideload not working!!!!

what am I doing wrong?
Make sure your file isn't named update.zip.zip. Do a dir in the directory you're in to get a listing of filenames.
named correctly...i keep extensions on so i don't make that mistake. I did change the name from it's original name to update, but the original rom isn't working either.
wait.......stand by

Did you verify the MD5 to make sure you didn't have a bad download?
