actually yes
because this is just an extractor that copy and replace new pictures stead of htc sync stock pictures, so its possible . but I didnt work with mac os yet and i dont know windows execute files (*.exe) could be run or not!!( simply must be NOT)
* I suggest a way to you :
1. Download HD2 Style.zip file from this post attachment.
2. go to your htc sync base ( where you have been installed it )
like this address on windows :
C:\Program files\htc\htc sync 3.0\ui\
3. then you should see the same folders that I attached here...

4. Now paste your downloaded zip file ( HD2 style in line 2 ) in this folder ( ui folder)
5. right click on the zip file and click Extract here !(accept every overwrites message)
for rolling back everything , do the same with Stock_style.zip
hope it works, if the htc sync mac function be similar to windows ...
Sweet, thank you.
nice .. thanks

TUTORIAL-Port Armv7 games to Armv6

Just developed this method (had nothing better to do ) ,but requires root acess.
DO NOT WORK WITH ALL APPS
1-Download Astro file manager and rom toolbox from market (google play store).
2-Put the app in an empty folder at your SdCard.
3-Exctract it (to that folder, of course )
4-At rom toolbox, select "build.prop editor" option, and change both "ro.prodduct.cpu.abi" lines from "armeabi-v6l" to "armeabi-v7l" and change both "ro.product.brand" and "ro.product.manufacturer" lines to "LGE" and after this, change the "ro.product.model" line to "LG-P970" , press menu button and select reboot option.
5-Download the correct armv6 lib file of your game (google it) anf go to astro file manager (to the: folder of the extracted game) and go to lib/armeabi-v7l/ and delete the file if was here, now get the downloaded lib file, put it here and rename it to the name of the file you'v been deleted. Now get "multi" option and select all extracted files and select "zip", and wait it complete, after this rename the .zip file to .apk file, install and play!
yep, i am brazilian and i developed this method! (had nothing better to do)

[GUIDE][15 AUG] How To Colorize Lock Screen Clock in Jellybean

Here is a guide how to colorize lock screen clock in JellyBean.
1. Download attached apktools.zip and unpack it on your computer (make sure there are NO spaces in folder names!)
2. Copie framework-res.apk to same folder.
3. Navigate to this folder in your work station, press SHIFT ang right click and in contex menu -> "open command from here".
4. Now we have to install fist the framework-res (U have to do this only once for each rom!) by typing following command:
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar if framework-res.apk
5. For decompiling framework-res.apk:
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar d framework-res.apk
6. Now there should be a folder named "framework-res".
7. Navigate to framework-res\res\values\ and open colors.xml with a text editor and search for:
Code:
<color name="lockscreen_clock_background">#ff33b5e5</color>
<color name="lockscreen_clock_foreground">#ff33b5e5</color>
<color name="lockscreen_clock_am_pm">#ff33b5e5</color>
8. Now you can edit color with what ever U want. In my case it is ICS blue.
9. Save changes and navigate back to apktools root folder.
10. Now for compiling framework-res again open command as mentioned in 3. and type:
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar b framework-res
11. Compiled framework-res.apk should now be in \framework-res\dist\ (be patient...could take a few minutes)
12. Last but not least you have to sign framework-res.apk. I always sign apk's with Android Commander and never had any issues.
There are also two .zip's attached which can be used to flash framework-res via CWM. One for patched and one for original file (in the case there went something wrong).
Tested on Win7 64bit!

Very Nice! Which property changes the color of the date and "charging" text?
I believe I am supposed to get framework-res.apk from my ROM but I don't see it. Where do I find it?

-Android SDK Tools available: [URL=http://dl.google.com/android/installer_r22.6.2-windows.exe] HERE [/URL]
This tool works on Windows, Linux and Mac OS (linux and mac I have not tested it yet, but to do so would run Wine, as it was developed for Windows, and have the extension *. Exe).

Set development environment:
JAVA:
Code:
Download and Install the JDK 8 on the link above, open the Control Panel and look for "Advanced System", open it and click on "Environment Variables ..."
find the path variable and add these lines to the end:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre8\bin;"
[COLOR="Red"][SIZE="5"]WARNING:[/SIZE][/COLOR]
if you have a 32-bit system you will need to change the lines and add these in place of those:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre8\bin;"
SDK-PLATFORMS:
Code:
Create a folder in the path "C:\" and call it "Android", install the sdk-platforms and use this folder as the installation folder.
Open the environment variables and add these to the string variable path:
"C:\Android\platform-tools";
without the quotes.
Now that we have set the development environment can run the installer and install the tool.
For those wishing to publish a custom rom created with this tool will add to the post title or the hashtag #myfirstrom #mfr.
I hope this tool will serve to many of you, especially those who are beginners.

[ROOT] Enable Pixel Icons on Any Launcher without losing icon layout.

Info
This will allow you to get the icons from the google pixel on your phone.
Not all apps are supported as the app has to provide a separate round icon.
Video tutorial coming soon.
TOOLS
Java: https://java.com/en/download/
Root Browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree
Apktool: https://ibotpeaches.github.io/Apktool/
INSTRUCTIONS
Copy \root\system\framework\firmware-res.apk onto your computer, you might want to make a backup.
On your computer download apktool.jar and place it in the same location as your firmware-res.apk file.
Open CMD and navigate to the location of firmware-res.apk and apktool.jar
Type this in CMD.
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar d framework-res.apk
On your computer navigate to \framework-res\res\values\ and open bools.xml.
Look for
Code:
<bool name="config_useRoundIcon">fasle</bool>
and set it to true.
Go back to cmd and type
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar b framework-res -c
Copy the new firmware-res.apk from framework-res\dist\ onto your device and paste it in \root\system\framework\ you may need to do this in recovery.
Restart your device.
View the correct instructions for your launcher.
Pixel Launcher
On your device navigate to /data/data/com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher/databases/
Google Now Launcher
On your device navigate to /data/data/com.google.android.launcher/databases/
Action Launcher
On your device navigate to /data/data/com.actionlauncher.playstore/databases/
Nova Launcher
On your device navigate to /data/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/databases/
Other Launchers
On your device navigate to /data/data/[Launcher Bundle-ID/Package Name]/databases/
Then delete app_icons.db and restart your device.
Notes
If you cannot find the location of app_icons.db then go to settings - apps - your launcher and clear all app data but doing this will lose icon layout.
If you cannot find <bool name="config_useRoundIcon">fasle</bool> then you are probably an incompatible version of android and the only option is to use an icon pack.
