Bluetooth issues
eugene373, I apologize for bringing this up again, but I have JAC's kernel working on stock JI6 utilizing the libs and binarys you posted here. I am however, having the same issues with bluetooth not starting properly. Is there any way I could get you to explain what the fix involves? Again I apologize for the inconvenience and thanks again for all of your hard work.
Nevermind, I have bluetooth working, and it was a very simple fix... turns out it was the related to btld, replaced the file with Frankin-Final and all is well.
Yes, that why I had updated my post when I released update 4 of ft Rom.

Anyone feeling generous? Prehaps we could repackage this into a flashable CWM zip. I wouldn't mind a stock JI6 with JAC's kernel (or the new voodoo one when it finally drops).
It would make the whole "hey look a new leak, lets flash it" process a bit more friendly.

*I will not be held responsible for any damages, so proceed at your own risk.
I have packaged this up for all who are interested... it can be found here, rather here. If you do not have ClockWork installed, just rename to update.zip and install through Samsung recovery as usual. I couldn't get the update.zip method to work, although I only experimented once.
And here, rather here is JAC's kernel (Vibrant OC/UV V1.1 CWM Recovery) along with the Old kernel back-ported files.
And here is JAC's kernel (Voodoo OC/UV Beta4 CWM Recovery V1.1). *I have not tested this kernel due to having the larger NAND.
KingClick's CFS Kernel #3.
Kernel Backport Uninstall (Replaces the Backport files with JI6 lib/system originals.)
Stock JI6 kernel with Backport removed (Replaces the Backport files with JI6 lib/system originals as well as flashes the stock JI6 kernel.)
Good work.
Welp, I asked for it, so I guess it's only fair that I be the guinea pig...
Flashing shortly...
EDIT.
Flashed the second link and phone has booted up successfully.
Gonna try overclocking next.

EDIT 2.
Overclocked to 1200 with OverClockWidget. Rockin!
Gotta love this forum and everyone who gives so freely of their time and l337 haxxor skillz.

not sure why not, unless you have a Bigger Nand which is a known issue..
People have the Voodoo working on my Rom when I first Posted the Back support.

Not sure why you Posting Tests? I made sure it was working 100% before I posted the Mod for Supporting older Kernels on the New build.
Hi,
Can I flash a froyo kernel to an eclair rom and vice-versa?
Will I loose/get fonctionalities?
What I want to do:
flash a 2.6.29 kernel(eclair) to a JPK rom to run voodoo on JPK (I will propably loose some fonctionality since its an *old* kernel)
flash a 2.6.32.9 rev6 (asian froyo dxJP1 kernel) to a JPK rom (to get better battery life and smoother flash since I tried JP1 for a week and it was stable and fast)
flash a voodoo modified kernel to any 2.2 rom to see what happens (but I am a little afraid to flash an oc/uv kernel to a rom not designed for it since it could maybe, under some circumstance damage the phone...)
Any ideas or tests already run?
I am gonna try the JP1 kernel on then JPK rom tomorrow to see if it works and if I got improvements from the JP1...

Your Phone wont boot, but try it.
2.1 and 2.2 are different worlds.
franklin01, this thread belongs in the Q&A section, not in development. Take a moment and read the "STOP!! Before you post, read this NOW!!" thread at the top of both of these sections, it has clear guidelines for proper thread placement.
I in no way take credit for the work that has been done, only testing the mated files..credit goes to MASTER { Devs4Android} and eugene373 {xda-developers}
Ok, so I've been experimenting with axura 2.0.1 and this is what I got working...I'm still testing this but have been running for 4 hours now

***UPDATE***
Ok, so i paired Axura 2.0.3 with #805 kernel and it runs flawlessly!!!
same method as before just a different kernal.. so for future reference when Axura 2.0.3 becomes available to everyone look back for this post{BOOKMARK ME!!]
UPDATE!!!
Axura 2.0.1 rom is the less glitchy..{just released 2.0.4 "early" with the fixes applied, flashing now}
the best kernel available as of now is Eugene's a12/a11 oc/uv!!! has all available lag fixes, tweaks, and misc stuff built into the recovery, and the voltage app allows adjustment in individual speeds!!

It just drives me nuts that these kernels add the I9000 splash screen - but the 800 series, on up to 805 if tweaked correctly work great.

Works exactly as described!!
Confirmed working on Axura 2.0.2, using the OP exact instructions... Quadrant Score 2072, Linpack 16.777, the I9000 splash screen doesn't bother me, but to each his (or her) own.
Thanks for posting this... works beautifully!

i think axura 2.0.1 runs pretty quick already, but I tried this out for fun. It runs even quicker now =D no problems so far.

It would be awesome to get Eugene's latest kernel (#106) working on Axura. Eugene stated that it should work on other roms as long as you include the zImage (duh) and the /system/init.rc. Tried doing it with a flashable zip as well as flashing just the kernel and then using adb to push the init.rc but still couldn't get it to boot. Maybe a much more talented individual could get this set up working.
Is it possible to flash axura 2.03 and flash the kernel by using CW? I believe kernels can be induvidually flashed right without odin correct? Thanks.

So I'm already on Axura, so I can just jump right to the flashing of eugenes kernel through cw recovery, correct? Don't get why I'd have to odin eugenes froyo package. I hate odin if you haven't guessed by now lol.
Also, which one is supposed to be better? 802 vs. 805

Yeh I hate odin also. I believe we should be able to flash in cw. I dont see why one would have to flash eugenes rom also. Im curious. Anyone care to expound. Thanks!
Correct...if your already on Axura your fine, except if you have any voodoo lag fix our oclf lag fix..you would have to remove them first...I personally like #802..but to each his own

Yes as long as it is a flashable .zip
Kernel and not made for odin..but thus far out of all the kernels eugene's #80x kernels are the only ones that work and are cwm flashable..

After I install the ext2 files, it says I already have a lagfix installed. I followed your procedure correctly but with Axura 2.0.3 and kernel #802.
I had voodoo installed before but I flashed disable-lagfix.zip before I did any of this.

What kind of reboot issues? Were you running a rom other then axura when you flashed 2.0.3? Best bet is to odin and do it all fresh and only flash one at so time with reboots between flashes...and disable any lag fixes!!

For most kernels (including IR's), you can extract the .config file from /proc/config.gz

Thanks man. BTW yesterday i switch back from CM 7.0.2.1 to CM 6.1.1 coz of wonk issues and i really want the vpnc app to work. i'm looking for a good battery life kernel currently i'm using WM last kernel version for CM6, if someone can give me a link for IR kernel (latest) that works with CM6.1.1 coz on IR's download page i tried all the kernel's for CM6 eventually i got boot loops and on RS kernel i got FC's & i can't find those with OC/UV. for now i don't have any issues with WM but i really want IR for comparison Thanks
Hi guys, i have decide to continue @buzz work on sense rom, I probabily fix the following things:
- Camera
- wifi
- keyboard
- change kernel with latest Squadzone
I do not know if they are ok, I have yet to test them, which will be done tonight, I just have to understand, I can use the kernel from cyanmobile (I do not speak of permits) on this rom? Or should I modify it?
if that rom is based on cm then I think you can use the kernel from cyanmobile
sorry if you had asked for something else
i think u should edit ramdisk
Rom doesn't boot, i restart work from zero by myself
