I have the following problem;
My appointments are deleted on my htc after i sync with my pc.
specific the appointments from the previous months are deleted, the ones from this month are still on my htc.
on my pc, all appointments are still in my calendar (XP, outlook 2007)
does anyone have any idea how to solve this???
Has got to do with your settings in activesync.
Once connected (main screen activesync) > mobile device settings> synchronize settings > calender ->synchronize settings > choose the period you want to keep on your device
I translated the activesync commands from dutch...so i hope you can figure it out

Up until recently, I've been successfully using "Microsoft Active Sync 4.5", to sync my 8925 Tilt's data to my PC (running Windows XP w/service pack2). Now Active Sync keeps crashing at/near the very end of the syncing process. I removed Active Sync from my PC via add/remove programs, and also moved the previously synced folder (Tilt files) from my PC desktop onto another HD, and then reinstalled Active Sync from scratch. Unfortunately Active Sync continues to crash even after reinstall, including removing the Tilt to PC link partnership and reassigning a new one. The crash error message window reads: "ActiveSync Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Here is the list of items I've got selected for syncing:
contacts
calendar
tasks
notes
files
WorldmatePro
Autofile
Movie Guide
Spb Wallet
The syncing process appeared to hang when it attempts to complete syncing the 'files' and/or 'notes' section, so I subsequently removed both 'files' & 'notes' from the sync item list, but unfortunately, Active Sync continues to crash right after having successfully(?) syncing all items, as interestingly enough, a synced check mark appears next to all items before the program actually crashes.
Is Microsoft Active Sync the only program that can sync the phone's: contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, and backup/sync files to your PC? I also own Sprite backup (full version) but I don't believe its a syncing program like Active Sync is.
Anybody here experienced problems with ActiveSync 4.5?
I have lots of apps installed & have made a lot of tweaks on my Tilt, so short of performing a hard reset on my phone, are there any suggestions on how I can get Active Sync working (w/o crashing) again?
Thanks in advance for all help and input.

Try unchecking the "Enable advanced network functionality" box under the connections tab > USB to PC.
Make sure there are not any older versions of Microsoft office on your machine.
ActiveSync doesnt know where to look for the sync items if you havent COMPLETELY removed everything.
I had a similar problem, had an update from office 2000xp to 2007 and it wouldnt sync.
Greginator
Many ppl have multiple versions of Office installed as a result of trial versions that were installed at the factory the never got removed, and other factors. Remove all versions of Office and all components. Then install only the version you intend to use in perpetuity.
At work i synchronize and update my Wings with Exchange (through Onebridge). At home I want to synchronize my wings with a home pc, I want to update the home pc with email, calendar and contacts from my Wings. Once connecting Wings to the home pc usb-cable, ActiveSync starts to synchronice, and synchronizes calendar and contacts to the home pc Outlook 2007 perfectly. A checkmark is also put on "Email", but my email is not synchronized and updated in my home pc Outlook 2007! Why is that? Could somebody please help me out?
Are you using the same version of outlook at work as you are at home? 2k7? I know with word 10 if you save it as a docx it will not open in the older systems and your phone might not be registering outlook 2k7 for some reason?
Just a thought.
The only connection my wings has with Outlook is at my home pc, through ActiveSync. At work I synchronize directly with Exchange, not with Outlook.
This is what i want for contacts, calendar AND EMAIL:
Wings -> ActiveSync -> Outlook2007 (at home PC)
But only contacts and calendar is synchronized, email is not. Why is that?
Hmm I dont sync anything so I cant help too much, but with the phone connected fire up active sync and under the tools > options there are a bunch of check box's for what you want synced, make sure email is checked and anything else pertaining to it?
I have tried checking and unchecking those boxes...., tried reinstalling outlook2007, reestablishing the activesync connection... still only contacts and calendar are copied to outlook2007.... email is not.
For some reason my Tilt's Calender continues to give me multiple reminder announcements even when I dismiss the reminder. In fact, it will stay on the screen until I dismiss it a few times right from the onset of the first reminder. I'm curious if there's a way to delete every calendar entry? I have hundreds and
I just want to clear the entire calendar and re-transfer the events/appointments from Outlook 07 and see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks for any advice!
There is an easy way to delete the whole Pocket Outlook Database (including Calendar, Contacts and ToDos). You just need to delete the pim.vol file. Detailed instructions can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369123
If you just want to delete the calendar entries, than I know just one method: Install Pocket Informant (the trial version should suffice). This application provides the possibility to delete all calendar entries at once.
Actually there's another way to do it, I did a search some time back looking for the same solution and found it. Open up your ActiveSync, go to Tools - Options - Server Synchronization. When you choose the items to sync with server, it will ask you whether you want to delete everything off your device before the sync. Use with caution though...
I cannot find the options described as:
ActiveSync, go to Tools - Options - Server Synchronization
I tried opening Sync Center and Windows Mobile Device Center looking for this (Vista). I also looked under ActiveSync on my Tilt. There is no "Tools." Under "Options" there is nothing regarding Server Synchronization.
What now?
Thanks...

civic98 was refering to ActiveSync on a Windows XP machine (since you didn't mention Windows Vista before). In Windows Mobile Device Center the similar setting can be found under "Mobile Device Settings" -> "Change content sync settings" and there uncheck the "Calendar" checkbox. Your phone needs to be connected to the pc of course. HTH
No, I'm referring to your Tilt's Activesync. NOT on the PC...
Need help !!!
I have a HTC TYTN II and I am unable to sync outlook calender with my phone. I use Windows XP. I also tried syncing using the message server option but that also does not work. I am able to sync tasks and notes. While I run sync it shows that the calender is sunchronising but I dont see any off my meetings. Please someone help!!!!
Check your settings. I know, blatently obvious. Is it syncing and you can't see it or is it not syncing?
Edit: In Activesync check Tools- Options and make sure there is a check mark in Calendar.
The calender is checked. When I sync it shows as syncing and it also shows the number of appointments in my outlook calender as being synced to my phone but when I open my calender (mobile) nothing appears.
Please Please help. I am missing meetings !!!!
Back it up. Remove the Activesync partnership (Delete Mobile Device). Create a new partnership.
This problem happened to me before when I had the Hermes. Out of nowhere the settings of the ActiveSync change and it blanks the check boxes for Contacts, Calendar, Email, Tasks and Notes. After this the calendar, contacts, etc go blank in my Fuze. Even if I want to recheck the boxes (in Windows Mobile 6 -> Change Settings) I cannot. The only solution to have the phone updated from the Outlook is to Restore the computer to an earlier date (usually 2-3 days). I noticed that some times I can trigger this behavior to an Windows Update. Any idea what's happening and how to prevent it?
Thanks
