There is way to install andriod without WM rom ?

Hi,
I would like to know if there is way to install just android without install Windows Mobile rom ?
I mean that the Android boot without using WM ...
At the moment no, I think we lack a bootloader to start booting the rom, also Android is not yet stable enough to use as a stand-alone OS for our phones, I'm certain it will all come together in time, much as the Familiar Linux Project did on the Ipaq series of PDA's.
Until then we have the best compromise, useable android, with the comfort of having WM still available for when we really need it.
Moved as not ROM Development....
take a look at

Android onto WM?

As I have seen the topic "Android development for the HTC Touch Diamond2, AT&T Pure" I am asking and I want to be sure if existing WM is flash-able with Android OS ?
You have to find a dual booting ROM for it to work together.
And dont expect everything to work, with the latest build (2.2) of XDAndroid I cant use neither camera nor telephone functions and have to recharge every two hours...

[Q] Porting latest ROM

Hi salmanrkr,
If it's speed, stability & battery backup is what you are looking for...then stick on to your stock ROM..believe me it's the best...
Also, you need not have to flash your ROM to run an Android in your X1....You can boot Android from within the Windows Mobile by having the Android OS files in your SD card...Basically there are 2 different types of Androids..one which require an ext2 partition(which is more faster) & one which doesn't need any partition(which is easier to run)
It seems that you are a fresher...so better try the second type..the one which doesn't need any partition...I recommend for you the F1Froyo 2.2.1 .Visit the following thread for the description and download link...(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=844033)
Do keep in mind that Android for X1 is still under development..so don't hope for a bug free and stable android for X1..
And if you really want to Flash a new ROM for X1, you can try the 826x series ROM...or the Energy ROM..both are Windows 6.5 Build with slight difference in Interface..Both have Sense, a cool interface seen in HTC Devices...visit the following threads for the description & download link..
for 826x series ROM-(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734175)
for Energy ROM -(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562935)
Note : You can have your Custom ROM + Android in your X1....Also plz do keep a backup of your Stock ROM before flashing your device with a Custom ROM..
Hope this helps...
Thanx alot!
But which files to be downloaded? its lil mixed up!

I have tried both the builds...and from my experience i found the second one i.e. F1 Froyo .2.2.1 more faster & Stable.
So my recommendation for you is the F1 Froyo 2.2.1..
Here is the direct link to F1 Blog, where you can download the original file : http://f1series.blogspot.com/2011/01/f1-froyo-221.html
Thnx & Regards...
Thanx again and sorry to reply so late coz something came in middle So hope to start this conversation again Sir!

Need help to decide about WM ROM (or android) version

Hi,
I want to install custom ROM to X1. It should be good, stable version because it's not mine and I can't play with it every day to fix or change something.
So, I would be thankful if somebody wants to share experiences and suggest me the best ROM for X1.
I would also like if you would tell me about your experience with Android on this device, which version is the best. what's working and what's not.
I already have some opinion based on what I read here, but would like to hear first hand experiences
thank you!!
I dont know for winmo, but in android jerrytan's roms are good, and also neofroyo.

Use the non NAND versions. That means that WM will not be deleted and you can run android ROM from your SD card. And yes, Jerrytans ROM are one of the best, I am using them myself.
If you still want to delete WM completely then use any NAND ROM from the android thread.
Here are jerrytan´s ROM`s: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1370882
Good luck!!!
JerryTan just released Sensedroid X, an android version.
You just keep Windows Mobile, and startup android by starting a program on your phone called Haret.exe
I tested Sensedroid x, and it is amazing!

But I think that nand Android makes Xperia X1 similar to a NATIVE android phone and this is awesome!
For now xperia is a wm powered phone that is capable of running android.once nand is finished,it will be similar to a native android phone.xdandroid is very slow, because it has too high resolution that needs to be lowered to get better performance and obviously lack of graphics.when this is done, wich wont be anytime soon,i guarantee you will get a good performance, comparable to hero/tatoo.

The ROM you are using is a windows mobile 6.5.3 ROM. You cannot run android from that ROM unless you dual boot android or flash a nand ROM.
if you want android and want to keep your wm rom have a look at one of jerrytan's roms:
