The sensor value stays at 0 for me. My finger is not over the light sensor.
I know Autolight works just fine in my TP2, and I think it is better than Lumos in my books.
I can't get Autolight or G-light to work either. What could I be doing wrong?
Has anyone got any of these progs working on there Imagio?

Hi everyone, my first post here so don't be so rough
I was looking at my CDMA version of Raphael changing screen brightness every five seconds.
And I thought, 0 brightness is too dark and 1 is OK but is there I can have 0.5?
I think this is possible since I can see that brightness doesn't 'jump' when I change them in the power settings.
So, any guru out there can chime in and give me some insight?
Thanks.
Lumos v08. Works wonders. Make sure you disable the stock auto-backlight control.
+2 for Lumos - absolutely perfect for auto backlight!
Thanks for suggestions : )
I'm already using Lumos v08 works just fine, but I just wanted to know if there is progressive backlight out there.
Instead of backlight jumping from 1 to 2 in a smooth transition, I was looking for something more like 1.1 backlight to 1.9, 2.1 to 2.9.
I really wish to have a backlight that is just inbetween 1 and 2.
i wish lumos let you truly customize it
i want it at 1 for wen its night
but when im at work in best buy its never bright enough even though i have it set to go to 10
i want to be able to tell it at this light sensor go to this level
@lbhocky19
Did you try to configure the minium light value just a little bit lower (I have mine at 12 for example)?
As nice as it is (autocalibration) it may not fit everybodies needs so just go the the second tab and configure the upper and lower margin. Worked perfect for me.
The gsensor on my g1 has all of the sudden gone whack in all programs from papi jump to maps to bubble they are all reading weird readings all of the sudden help please how do i fix this problem

This is a great question as I ran into the same exact problem. My issue started after I downloaded the "de Blob" game which allows you to "calibrate" the sensor based on the orientation of how you want to hold the phone during accelerometer based play. After doing so my auto rotate would turn at awkward times and I found that other games didn't respond appropriately. I tried going back and "re-calibrating" by laying the phone flat but that didn't work. What ended up working for me (as I could not find for the LIFE of me where the "calibrate" feature was in the settings) the "Bubble" app which is basically a level app that tells you if a surface is level. Once I calibrated in the Bubble app, I no longer had the issue. Needles to say I no longer use the accelerometer to play "de Blob" and have emailed him to let him know of the issue. (I haven't gotten a response) Hope this helps. I will be looking forward to other ideas on how to re-calbrate the sensor in case this happens again. I'm sure there is a easier way.
yea i tried the bubble app out and now my gsensor is not working at all no matter what direction i put it in the gsensor does not respond
Really? Sorry man. Worked for me. You may need to start from scratch by wiping your phone and reflashing your ROM
The same problem
Hi are you have some solution. My G-sensor didn't respond too.

They recommend you to mahe "8" signs with your phone in hand (twist it in all direction) because the sensor recalibrates that way. This is othe official advice.
Calibrating with the bubble app should work too. If not - alt+w
I have got the G-Sensor.
From Recovery
backup
Alt+W - delete all
and update to CM last stable
No joke, try shaking your g1 around kind of hard, it might be stuck. Reset it again after that and see what happens, worth a shot.
may sound daft, but have you tried this solution?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4424396&#post4424396
it is a quick fix for auto rotate issues, not a permanent solution, but it may help as auto rotate is accellerometer based, as are all the apps you're trying to use
if it works, thanks go to MikeTaylor00, not me, i'm merely a messenger

hey senaia, is this a proven method? Thanks =)
I got tired of the LED blinking lights on my Tilt, so I disabled them with the regedit mentionned in this forum (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\AllLEDMgr; "Index"=0). As soon as I did this, I noticed that my TomTom7 would no longer find my GPS (NO GPS DEVICE). As soon as I re-enabled the LEDs, TomTom would work again.
Whats even more odd is that the other GPS program that I have (OnNavigator) was unaffected. I tested this many times to be sure, but I cannot explain how disabling the LEDs can prevent TomTom from finding the GPS; especially when other programs find it.
Has anyone heard of this before? Its really wierd!

I remember (but not for sure) a settings page that gave you the ability to test different sensors and what-not. the reason for my question is because when i make a call the proximity sensor doesnt work, and i wanna know is it because of the rom or anything software related, or is it the sensor itself, since i recently had repair done on the screen.
thanks.
Nobody knows? i got a 30-day warrenty, so if my proximity sensor really isnt working i need to know soon.
I've used an app previously that would display raw readouts from the various sensors in the device, including the proximity and ambient light sensors. Stand by while I try to find what app that was...
In the meantime, you can at least verify that half of the sensor is working by looking at the screen through a digital camera or other phone's camera. The proximity sensors works off of a flashing IR LED that you should be able to see through a digital imaging sensor. The sensor is located to the left and below the speaker.
Also, I believe the application I was using is called "Elixir", and is free on the Market.
Thanks man, great app. everything is working ok now.
So I've been using my S10 Plus for 3 days now, and love it. The fingerprint sensor works well.. about 95% accuracy, which is fine for me.
One thing I noticed is that if on the lockscreen, there is a trace (almost like a footprint of your fingerprint that appears on the finger print sensor, right after you press it. You'll notice it during the animation where the s10 plus transitions from your lockscreen to your homescreen.
I wonder why this is happening. Is anyone else noticing it. It's very faint. But if you change the direction of your finger you might notice it more. Also, I dont' think it'll show on black lockscreens. There needs to be some color there.
Is this something wrong with my sensor, or is it just something with new technology.
Take a look at the video where you can see this better. You might have to slow down the video or just pause it.
I don't think it's something wrong with the reader, but it kind of annoys now, and now I can't unsee it lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=19&v=w_6e8_PHCIE

I have it too, but doesnt really bother me that much as it goes away right after it verified my fingerprints.

Okay, so it's not just me... Do you think it's just new technology kinks that need to be worked out?
I wonder if they can fix it with a patch. Anybody else notice this?
What makes you guys think it's a glitch, seems intentional to me, easier to tell where your tapping
It's an imprint of how much of your thumb surface was used to scan your fingerprint. People that are having fps issues can see that if you press it hard enough to cover the whole scanner the phone unlocks everytime. I had fps issues until I got att update about 500mb. With whitestone screen protector it's working as advertised. Just rescan your fps when you get the update and it's very accurate. As long as you press hard enough to make a big imprint of your thumb on the scanner.
