txt messaging - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hello all recently i upgraded to nrgzz newest rom and found it very well done but for some reason i am unable to send texts through the original messaging application of Microsoft but in the htc custom built it works fine. Is there any ideas here thanks?

post this question in nrgzz ROM thread to get some answers. If you are the only person experiencing this issue do a hard reset first if that still doesn't work use mtty.

MSVC freezes since WM6.1 update

Since i got the offical HTC 6.1 update when I install Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 my Tytn II freezes everytime i try to access the "settings" tab from the start menu. I've read the steps to install it on this forum already and followed the steps to the T and no luck. It used to work before the update perfectly and now it crashes everytime! any thoughts?
i'm blind!!! never mind I just read how to fix it...you guys rock on this site!!!...delete these posts!!
I'm also blind. Could you point me to where you found the fix? Thx.
The version you're using is likely not compatible. I know when I was running msvc as downloaded from dutty's cabs store, it did the same thing. I found a newer version in the 'all you ever wanted to know' MSVC thread, and it works great.

I've been googling and had no luck finding the solution for this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Did you happen to install the cab from this post?
I did, and it had the same effect - couldn't open or create email. There is talk of a solution at the end of that thread, but I'm impatient - I did a hard reset already.
ya i did install that one. did a hard reset and everything is good now. but sucks i had reinstall everything.

You need to post this on the Hyperdragon thread, as I remember, SJ has been having email trouble with his new roms. It is a Hyperdragon, not a Kaiser problem.
As I remember, a work around was proposed. Have you even read back in the thread?

The fix was posted in PDA thread and i put it in .cab without testing, anyway it fixes the multiple sms issue, where it only marks the latest message in the thread as read, well 12hrs later we all find out it breaks email, hard-reset neede, all part of the game we play
if this cab/dll is replaced with original one does it fix the email? I trying to avoid hard reset but need e-mail back.

No it won't, the way i tryed was by renaming htmlnote.dll to htmlnote.dllold in the Windows dir with total commander as when you reboot this will invoke the ROM to replace original ROM file, no sucess it must nock something else out....

MMS problem, Need some advise

ive searched all over in how to fix this with-in my own ability, i saw there was a cab that installes the settings into the handset. trying the cabs (pay and go as thats wat my sim is) this has not sorted the problem.
getting down to the problem in hand....when i go into the messages and select menu, then mms options and select it the settings dont come up. i am using a cooked from (phenix energy rom 3.0)
if anyone can help me with how to solve my problem then that would be exerlent.
looking forword to the help.
cheers
Mmmm...
All I can suggest my friend, is to check the Pheonix Energy ROM thread to see if anyone else has that issue with that particular ROM. If you had MMS set up and working OK before you installed the cooked ROM, then there's your answer
still no joy
i have tuck your advice and no one like to reply in that thread, i have recently moved to another rom but still the same problem, could it be anything to do with the radio or anything like that? or wud flashing it back to its stock rom help?

Help, no phone dialler, incoming calls.

Hi, noob here,
I recently added TofClock WM6.0 version to my Himalaya II, but I lost the functionality of the phone dialer, and the ability to make or recieve calls. I called myself from the home phone and nothing happened, then I instantly got a message saying I had a missed call. I then installed WM6.1 which is working fine, but still the dialer is no longer working? I cant click it in the start bar, I cant click the green call button on the device, I cant go into programs and open I am currently on:
WM6.1
Rome Version: 6.1.2a16CS
Radio Version: 1337.18
CE OS 5.2.19209
Build 19209.1.0.2
Is there something I can install to patch this problem?
Also is there a patch that will restore the functionality of the tasks and calender as I really need them, they stopped working after the first update from 2003, and I need it for Uni.
Sorry if this has been posted before but I really did search for ages on these forums before signing up to ask.
Any help would be brill.
Help!!! this is still a problem. I really like the Himalaya, but without it being able to function with a dialer or receive call, it is useless to me.
For me it seems like a hardware problem or a corrupted radio rom.
Did you try to flash back to your original WM2k3. I hope you made a backup.
Or try to flash the radio again, without changing the OS.
You can find them here:http://old.buzzdev.net/downloads.php?category=8
Good luck
Thankyou for your reply. I have downloaded the new radio. Can you send me a link on how to flash this file. Do I just add the software to the phone via active sync and then install it?
I am still new to this, and it seems to be unable to get Network service from my cell phone company.
I feel like the phone is bricked. *sigh*
As I remember, you flash the radio rom as if it is a compete rom, but I'm not sure, yet.
Look around, I read about it somewhere. Use search function here or at buzz.net.
Good luck.
If your device has got a bricked phone function and is not useable for you any longer don't through it away.
One of the rom cookers in this forum (master efsane from turkey) has ruined his device, and I try to organize one for him as I did for master Ather (former Ather90).
Maybe it is possible to get him back to our forum this way, because it seems not to be as easy to build good (german) WM6.5 rom.
As your device is able to receive sms, it sounds as an issue with the ringer. Does it show an incoming call?

MMS issue

I am running Dutty's WM6.5 Leo R4 rom. For some reason I can not receive picture messages. First it will not automatically download, which I have it set to unless I over looked a setting. If I try to manually download the picture message it says can not download error. I tried to send a pic to myself and it did the samething. Any ideas ?
Seems to be an intemittent problem affecting some but not others. Just try flashing your phone with a stock HTC rom first, hard reset, install the latest Dutty's rom or other rom of your choice (I'm currently on Xannytech's which is rock solid so far and MMS works for me as I'm a very heavy texter) and try hard resetting a couple of times. Seems to work for most people to fix a few issues.
Hope it helps
thanks I'll try it. My only issue is getting a stock HTC Rom. The rom update off the HTC site says it's not compatible with my phone when I put in the serial number
I have the same issue you need to input and have found it to be common problem wit the last 4 rom's I have used.
From what I understand its a hit and miss with MMS, you will need to input the setting manually.
Try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1182567
I see the settings for ATT blue which I'm not sure what exactly that is. I'll try to look around for the current settings for AT&T.
Thanks
OK so I installed an official rom as stated in the 2nd thread, I then reinstalled Dutty's WM6.5 Leo R4, rechecked my MMS settings and I still can not send or receive MMS. Text message works fine though. I tried Miri's rom and also the energy rom and still the same issue with MMS.
I'd suggest in future posting your query within related rom thread instead of creating a new thread.
Stock roms can be found in wiki here.
