Hello,
I want to suggest the creation of a forum for releases. One for Windows Mobile and another for Android, to make the forums better organized, instead of this [APP] tags before the titles.
Best Regards,
Nathan Paulino Campos
Have you been over to dev recently? And an article to go with it http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=10232
It is nice that new members came with ideas but as myself I am so get used to the way it is now that is very intuitive to get where I want to.
In my opinion leave it as it is now
Sorry, I do a mistake.
I haven't seen that forum.
So much sorry!

Hi folks, I’m not from around these parts, I live in the Kaiser world!
I have a friend who is not technically minded, but wants me to update the ROM on his diamond.
I need to put a stable ROM on there that he can use day in day out without having to worry about solving bugs etc himself as I won’t be around to do it for him! He’s just your average, email, music and texting user – doesn’t need anything specific.
Over in the Kaiser section I would recommend PDA Ultimate V19. There are better versions after this, but in the drive for perfection and speed, each new release throws up bugs that need tweaking every now and then – this is what I’m trying to avoid.
Please can you let me know which version of a ROM you would recommend for him? The one you’ve run for ages and always return to. If there are just one or two tweaks I need to make to it, if you could detail those and I’ll sort them before I hand him his upgraded diamond back never to be tweaked again!!
Thanks in advance
Ps. Mods – didn’t want to clutter the ROM section with this, so put it in here.
Please be considerate ogf others and read the rules before posting.

ATTENTION!: We are glad that our community is growing really fast. Unfortunately, the number of topics in the threads of the forums grow in a very larger manner. Unfortunately not every user is aware of the general forum usage and posting rules. As a direct conseque to that MODERATORS will apply the Diamond forum, as one of the most active forums on the site, a very strict moderating policy which might imply:
immediate thread deletion when newly created thread addresses an already discussed topic;
immediate thread deletion when newly created thread addresses an issue such as "Which ROM is the best", "Diamond vs iPhone", etc.;

I did read the rules.
Did you read my post?
also interested
I am also interested in this. I have read all the threads till now and kinda convinced me not to update the ROM. From what i've read, ROM v 1.93 has many bugs (e.g. phone rings one and then no more, send SMS to someone and I receive the message -> these are only single member problems, not happened to many people). In the end ... any suggestions on ROM update?
Yeh - what i always return to is stock rom and SPB Mobile Shell v3 on top of it - it's awesome...
Hi everybody,
Let me introduce myself. I'm M_T_M , your new forum mod for the HTC Wallaby.
I've been on xda-developers for over a year now. Mostly visiting the devices I own and supporting other forums with the experince I've gathered on this great site. Maybe some of you have seen me lately in the forums helping a little.
Now, I'm happy and honored to be appointed to the HTC Wallaby forums to provide mod assistance to all of you in the best way I can to this great community.
I'm here to help you and I expect the same from all of you .
If you experience any other way of approach from members, feel free to contact me through PM, or report the post by using the "!" button in the post.
Additionally, I want to let you know that I'll be doing some forum maintenance (cleaning threads addressing an already discussed topic or an off topic, moving threads or posts to proper sections) for making it easier to all of you get the information you are seeking and keeping the forum clean.
Cheers
thanks my friends
Hi everybody!
I'm writing ICQ Messenger for WP7 now and have a VERY BIG ISSUE with it:
WP7 Silverlight does not support SOCKETs!!!
Does anybody know how to workaround this?
The only way I see is create a SERVICE on my home PC with static IP, that will be a link between WCF classes to communicate with WP7 Client and ICQ Server, that (to my mind) only supports Sockets...
Waiting for your comments and suggestions! ))

Post in correct sections.
General/Questions etc go in the "Q&A" forum
Developments go in the "Development" forum.
This forum is named "Windows Phone 7 Development"... Where should I post if not here?

Would be best to post in the "Q&A" forum or the apps forum. This is mainly for posting of dev work.
This forum is mainly for posting of work not general discussion as then we would get all sorts of topics created here and then we will have to soft through a load of crap just to find the devs posts.
maybe there should be a board section "winp7 coding". but for my understanding developers of tools for wp7 should ask their questions here in the dev section, like the rom-chefs do. like it says, it's about developing. maybe somebody has a tip for the op and can guide him to a nice coding community manly working with wp7.

Excellent point, this.
Purely based on OP's post, there's nothing HD2-related about the issue he/she's encountered.
Unless OP has a specific reason for keeping this in the HD2 section, this thread might be better off in the general "Windows Phone 7 Software Development" section. There's almost certainly more WP7 experts browsing there.
Exactly. This is in no way related to HD2 WP7 development so shouldn't be here.
@OP
don't give too much on those ppl *****in' around. try to open a thread in wp7 development or apps and games.
perhaps there you get real help. i appreciate your attempt to make a icq client =)
Hello all,
I'm not a new user around, I've been coming here for a few long years.
In the past was doing some customer support and solving issues with smartphones related, contacts syncs and others.
Now Im looking for more information regarding Android TV so lets get it done!
All the best for all!
Hello and welcome to XDA! Please take a moment to review the XDA Forum Rules and Forum Etiquette linked in my signature. You will find that XDA has many device specific subforums which may contain the information you're looking for. Use the Search function or click the Manufacturers link at the top of the page.
Good luck and have fun!
As the title says, can we have some cleanup and organization on our subforim? Like, let's move all these brick/download mode threads into a Q&A section, maybe a theme and apps section, a general section, and a developers only section.
Not trying to sound pushy, or Karen-y, but the state of this subforum is very unappealing, which, in turn, will slow down it's development. Please.
PS : I understand that there is a lower than normal following for this phone due to all the recent stuff from OP/Oppo, but that's exactly why any little bit helps. It's also just page after page of "download mode please help" "brick, how 9008" etc etc.

Hello and good afternoon, @Tilde88
Thanks very much for sharing your concerns. I'm sorry this is no longer possible since the transition of the website from vBulletin to Xenforo. Fora created after the transition are no longer structured by sections or sub-fora but the threads in the forum contain prefixes that can (and should be) used for filtering. Did you already try this?
Unless you're already aware, @sd_shadow has created a very useful how-to:

Basically no, they removed the lovely nicely organised sections (a format used for decades) and replaced them with one big convoluted mess..that is what XDA now is.
You can view them on a computer nicely, but on a phone it just a turd.
Hopefully they'll see the error of their ways but I honestly doubt it.
The death of android development will tie in nicely with it Id imagine.
PS: I've already raised this with XDA it went nowhere.
I agree. The new formatting of the forum sucks. Its extremely convoluted. Even ON my computer. Why are we going backwards instead of forward? It definitely ties in nicely being this is a oneplus section LOL. Both are going backwards. ColorOS and OOS suck ass.

I'll sum the new view of XDA up with an emoji.

I'm sorry, but I am not going to read a dissertation on how to NAVIGATE a forum I've been a senior member of for decades, and even developed a kernel for a device. (Only to just come to the realization that I don't like the layout anyway). Maybe OnePlus wasn't the only issue. Not to be rude, so my apologies for my tone.
But honestly, it is unappealing.
I do appreciate you, and your efforts in helping me, though. I don't want to come off as a full-blown jerk...

You aren't dude...XDA is home to many a person, even if it's a distraction from real life or something's to keep our minds busy, or as a way to learn new tech, info, software, hardware it is what it is to many thousands...to make a change like this is abhorrent of the powers that be to say the least, I haven't met a soul who thinks the change was a good idea ..
Check out the thread "How to make XDA better" and voice your opinion there, it'll be seen and hopefully heard.
Personally I think this layout should be a choice...would a vote have been a more diplomatic option?
We got neither.
