Open Home has a really sick app dock, now if you have a custom theme you and you want to use a custom clock then open home is not an option. I am asking if someone can make a widget just like or very similar to that dock. PLEASE..... its a need in the "rooted community".

Sorta
aHome is fixed at the very bottom while Open Home has a slide out dock where you can add as many apps as you want and slide it back and forth.
He wants a widget where you can have different docks though out the screen.
Have a dock widget on each line to reduce clutter on the desktop.
According to what Sistum said. I believe Sweeter Home has this option although it's still in beta. I don't know if I spelled the name right though.
there is one- sort of- a widget by bratag.
i want a live folder with most recent apps (like launchbar)...
hi,
i don't know how to set a different wallpaper for each homescreen in launcherpro
thanks
P.S. im not allowed to post a direct link so i cant give you an example
Press the Menu button on your device
Now press Wallpaper
Choose one
Win.
EDIT: Just realized it was multiple wallpapers.
Wallpaper Plus also does the job.
Search for multipicture wallpaper in the market,is free and is awesome.
I recommend Wallpaper Plus, it's better
Dose any one know how to customize home screen icons in the launcherpro.
Means rename or change icons
Cheers

Depends on what icons you are talking about. In terms of the dock, just long press on a dock item, and click the change icon option when the menu opens.
As for icons on the homescreen itself, you can change an applications shortcut icon whenever you create it. Just long press on the homescreen, Select Shortcuts, then Applications, Pick an App, then click its icon to change it.
You can also use Desktop Visualizer - http://www.appbrain.com/app/desktop-visualizer/jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr
This will let you set make custom widgets in many sizes and set the image for them to what you want. This will allow you to use oversized icons, or even custom designs such as the WP7 designs you might see around here.
Hope that answers your question

well thats in widget state, Just have to live with it for now........
Thanks all for the comments........
PS, I couldn't click thanks4 papertreeprophet. cause its limited for each day..
when creating the shortcut, at the screen where you can rename the shortcut, click the icon, and it will allow you to choose whatever you'd like.
Instead of placing icons on your homescreen from the app drawer, long-press on the homescreen and go to shortcut, that will let you choose the icon and name. This only works for apps, not folders.
This will tell you how to make a honeycomb setup for your phone..

Has anyone done this to their epic yet? Look really cool. I love the honeycomb theme.

They're just pictures and are linked to the applications via desktop Visualizer.

I knew i should have shared that when i first found it last month... oh well. The only thing that kept me from keeping it was that icons would get cut out when you use that many columns and rows, otherwise, i have that setup backed up on my sd card for later use.

(Desktop Visualizer) widget on your homescreen.
3x1 widget: select which picture u want to use extracted from the zip.
For the application, choose best fit app for picture u chose. Clear the label and no touch effect.

Sent from my Epic 4g thats perfect in stock form.
is u using desktop Visualizer and or adw launcher?..if so hold the item widget for a few sec until a menu pops up and click edit.. that with let u adjust the widget size.. start off by using a 1x2 and go bigger to your likings.. as to the landscape setting use the adw launcher setting not the menu phone settings..

I know what the difference is, your grid size is different than what I had. Thanks, but I never had trouble in the first place. I'm using a different setup now anyway.

I run MIUI and am sick of the launcher (app drawer, etc.) I like GoLauncher with its widgets and such. There are a few things I want changed though, and I would like to know if it has been done.
First, I like how the icons in MIUI are really large, in GO, they are very small. Can they be changed in GO?
Secondly, I like how the text under the icons in MIUI do not have the black background. Is this possible in GO?

I didn't know they had one. I will take a look.
Launcher Pro is the only launcher I think that can remove the icon label backgrounds.
One of the reasons I love it. I do wish it had bigger icons and maybe a 4 icon dock.

I like GoLauncher better because of home swipe actions, the ease of changing icons on both homescreen n dock and overall smoothness...
This is why I use ADW EX.. you can customize everything to do with the icons.. Size, background of icon, text color, size, fully customize the dock, instantaneous drawer (I find go launcher drawer to always have SOME lag), tons of themes, same swipe gesture options and screen animations.. The only thing you lose is the widgets and there are other market Apps that take care of that.

Same here.. LPP and GO are great, but ADW customization go further (no dock is a sweet feature too)... but ADW is not as smooth as the two others, I mean that when you want to edit stuff (widget size, placing shortcut elsewhere, etc) it feels weird, not as responsive, I don't like it but it's the only negative point so I live fine with it.. pros and cons..
In go launcher i use desktop visualizer to get some real big icons, miui style. It gives me even the option to open shortucs to folder organizer.

I just downloaded Desktop Visualizer and I did not find the option in there for icon size. How are you doing it?
Long press the icon from dvisualizer that you just added to your home screen and choose resize.
Dvisualizer is a widget, you can resize it just like any other widget.

Has anyone figured out a way to edit APP icons without manually going through and editing the actual .APK?
It seems that would be the "simplest" route to allowing us all to put custom icons for apps on the dock bar... because then we could just use the built in method for customizing the dock, and BAM.

Desktop VisualizeR will give you what you want.
I've got desktop Visualizer, but can't figure out how to use it toput icons in the dock bar. Had assumed it pnly worked for widgets on desktop.
