Once again... had too much time on my hands today so I ported an old Megaman theme I made over to Cyans 4.1.11.1 using the regular hero 2.0 (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541242 ) as a template since I prefer the base elements of that theme. Once again, I take no credit on this for anything other than the Megaman elements of this theme. The Android VK on this theme was done by JrBourque. Just did this for my own use and figured I'd share it while I was at it

Why is no one really theme-ing any 2.0 roms...ive seen the xRom theme but i think thats it
...am i missing something?
There are a couple of them posted on AndroidOverdrive.com
since some of them fill up the /system partition on a G1 to 97% it makes theme-ing them a little difficult.
oh alright...
the ones on androidoverdrive are xactly what i was looking for nice clean themes
thanks! but if anyone knows any others id still be glad to check them out
there is only one theme on that site for 2.0 rom so what ones did u find?..let me know
There are a few, my Ice theme I ported, cloverdale themed it also.
Could you be more specific on where you found 2.0 themes because i never heard of eclair rom or any of that other stuff..its a bit confusing because i dont have a custom rom installed and do not want to risk it as of yet..that ice blue theme didnt work on my moto droid?..

Eclair and Droid are different. The Ice is made for standard screen sizes, it wouldnt work on the Droid being a higher resolution. It changes the drawable-mdpi, not hdpi, so it would only apply a few changes.
I thought I would make a thread that will give users the option to install different theme components to make there phone look how they want it without having to settle with parts that they dont want.
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS
All Theme components will be in androidupdate.tar format.
They will need to be installed using Nomorootfs.

GREAT idea. Keep up the good work, I've been wanting to mix and match pieces since that first week when Myn was busting themes out.
Nice work incubus26jc
This really gives users the total customized package.
I'm going to link this from the main Warm Donut thread.
Thanks guys, I hope you like it. It took alot of work just to get this much done. Its definatly a work in progress. I hoped to make it usable from our phones browser as well. I will add more every chance I get.

Sweet thanks Incubus! This customization is great...
Also is there any way to extract just the standard Power Control widget from one of the themes?
SQSH?
For the users running SQSH version off SD, is there a way to install just specific widgets?

maybe from the original warm donut. use something like root axplorer to extract the widget out of the system\apps folder. Im not sure if any themes have the original widget.

just download the tar file and use 7zip to extract the widgets out and place them on your sd card. Then install them with astro.
Windows what?

Daneshm90 made a sweet computer app (only for Windows ATM) to take the PNGs from one theme or rom and transfer them to another, easily and effectively theming the new rom with little effort. Right now you have to make sure that it is MDPI type stuff, so no higher class phone themes will work just yet. I think he might be finding a way around that. You can still grab themes from lots of phones like the G1, Hero, etc etc and you can use 2.1 themes for Froyo roms and such as well. I made a Buuf themed Cyanogen Tazz rom and a pink themed CELB Froyo rom for a friend that was from a 2.1 rom. So far so good... Did not have success with using Droid roms as they are HDPI. Soon though...soon... lol Feel free to stop in that thread and say thanks or ask questions. He seems quick to answer and be helpful. Since I have done a few (hey, failed ones count, you learn what NOT to do...) I might be of assistance as well. Enjoy!
