Just wondering if anybody could make the Eclair lockscreen for dwangs cause I tried the lockscreen for 4.2.8.1 and it didn't work. So please and thank you!

I wanna that too!
Use a program called Lockbot Free/Pro, it is the ONLY way you will get close to a full Eclair lockscreen on a Donut rom.

You will regret you flashed an Eclair ROM, it is laggy, tried an Eclair claimed to be fast but now revert back to Donut.

actually, if u want a fast stable and battery efficient eclair rom, download xrom 1.0 with 10 mb cfs hack with working wifi/bluetooth; or just download cloverdale's nex^2us or blue haze fully themed xroms bc they have it all included. im using xrom 1.0 with the hacks and its really fast for an eclair. yeah if u like running ten things at once stick to donut. however, xrom 1.0 gets the job done IMO .

Blur is what? Happenings??? Pretty widgets... but nothing special.
Sense is iphoneish in its fluidity and perhaps the peoples champ for Android at the moment.
xRom is really nice as well.
imho, pulse shouldnt even be consider a seperate android rom. More of a theme/skin like OpenHome, FreshFace, DxTop, etc.
Wish Sweeter Home would get off its lazy ass and release a non-preview version
Hey one quick noob question. With all da different hero. Roms I saw. On theunlockr.com. which one is compatible with sense hero v1.3.3 and also if im running cyan 4.2.3.1 on cyan+ jf 1.4 do I have to switch. Roms before i use sense v1.3

Right Now im run a newest Hero Rom from MLIGN. For Some reason im get heavy amounts of lag when opening apps and etc. How can i fix this?

dont use hero?
If you want apps to open faster, use a BFS kernel
If you dont want rosie to slow down over time...use a regular kernel w/o bfs
those are pretty much the only options
hero roms are generally slower, but i found to have a class 4 or 6 card to help things go a lot smoother. still, there are some hiccups, but its a huge difference

That "some reason" is because the Hero has a 1/3 more RAM than the G1. A whole 96mb.
Not trying to be patronizing, but the only thing you can do is switch to an AOSP ROM, or disbale Rosie (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > TouchFlo > Clear Defaults - will only work if Launcher.apk is present in /system/app)

All current ROMs are built off the same dump, the only thing you can really change with Hero is the kernel. Hardly any of the "Devs" who release Hero ROMs have any idea how to compile the kernel.
Take your pick, you won't find one which will have a significant speed increase over another (unless they're based on a new dump).

I recommmed sense hero unthemed or maybe kingklick hero 2.3.
Also try cyan rom with a hero theme

You need to flash the boot.img w/ bfs for your rom through fastboot
I am currently on sensehero 1.3.3 themed, its pretty sweet. but so far, kingklick 2.3 is going to most stable imo.
kingklick 1.9 is a guaranteed winner as well.
why do you want to install BFS? Cyan said that BFS is not all the way worked out yet.
...and have donut 1.6 running on my G1...i unrooted my G1 a coupe days ago now running on the official Donut...(got tired of Hero Roms)...so i really like how fast the donut works...but not app2sd....(almost running out of internal memory)....can anybody tell me wich is the best donut ROM....thanks

It's mostly just a personal preference, best advise I could give you is flash a couple and see what you like best

thanks for the quick response....honestly all i want is a ROM that is very similar to the official donut...but i need the app2sd....i dont need the problems like missing msm or rebooting for no reasons...can you suggest any ROM? Thanks again

as most of you know im going to be building a new 1.5 rom based off of gumbo 1.5c. i want to give the phone as much of an aosp/nexus style as possible. the bad news is there is no white stock taskbar themes out there for 1.5.
SO... im asking one of our talented devs to create one or port one to work on a 1.5 based rom. i will of course give you full credits. PM me if you interested!
I know what you're going for, but the reason we haven't done it is when you try to change the clock text in the taskbar it will bootloop. And if there is a way to do it, it would be a pain and there really aren't that many people here that are still on 1.5... I hope someone helps you out though. I would try but I(along with a lot of other people) hate working on things that I personally will not use.

im back & forth between 1.5 & 2.1 but i have several members interested in running a new 1.5c rom. damn i was hoping i could get that white taskbar too.
just something to play with until 2.1 officially drops ya know! actually according to the 1.5 & 2.1 customization page that godzon made there is a white theme that works on 1.5 but it's only for damage based roms. i just need this ported to work on a gumbo based rom.

that's what it says but i think it was for a damage based 1.5 rom. i tired to flash it and it caused a boot loop. i think it needs to just be ported to work on a gumbo based 1.5c/ pancake rom.

Didn't know it was labeled as such until you pointed it out...
If the framework on your version of 1.5 is odexed (has .odex files in the /system/framwork), it is no small task to pull off, as the whole entire framework would first need to be deoxeded, so that you could then edit the services.jar file.
It's feasible, but not realistic, if this is the case, given that it's 1.5.
