When i changed my xperia case i accidently broke my on/off button on the top.
So the only way to turn the device on is with a needle so i can stick it in, the stylus tip is just doesnt fit..
But my question is, where can i buy an on of button so i can solder of my old one and replace it?
Thank you

Hi folks,
everytime i want to use my TyTN2 i have to look for the powerbutton, because it is very hard to find (especially in the dark).
I started to open the slider when i want to turn on the TyTN2, but everytime the display is rotating.
Is there any way to turn the displayrotation off when opening the slider and put this function on any button?
Greets Michael
PS: Sorry for my bad english, i'm only german
I was on the same boat. Rather to mess around with registry (if s/o find out), you can buy a case like Krusell Leather. It help you to navigate the power button easier.
dang, i thought there is a solution to fix this with some changes in the registry.
but thanks for your post
Hi
I found the solution for me to this problem was to adapt the power button.
I took a slice of black plastic cable cover from a thin wire. I sliced this in two and super-glued it to the power button. Now I have a nice feel to the power button and I never have the problem of pushing the tytnII open by mistake.
Ciao, D
you able to remap the camera button to turn it off instead of camera?
Hello All
I'm going to be replacing the mic on my blue angle so took the device apart have a quick look.
I've put it back together, but find the volume button/slider no longer works and is very loose, wobbling around. Obviously something has fallen out without me noticing. What is it which should be under the volume slider button?
Thanks for any help
Jon
hy y dont u try & reassemble it carefully

hop that helps
well i think you got the same case as mine, there's a little strip of plastic tab that connects itself to the push and pull button. Too bad its too small that upon reassembling, unnoticibly you will likely to bend it or cut it off. Mine's got cut so maybe you can replace the tab with a glued plastic tab of the same size.
Ok got pissed off and now my volume buttons do not work.
Two questions
1. Good place to get replacement for those buttons
2. Registry entry to edit and lock volume at max
button board repair
I had a volume button issue as well before and looked for a button replacement. But when I took out the actual button, it was an easy fix for me.
Taking it out is easy breezy. Remove your battery back, battery, SIM card and pry open the bottom cover (a bit of force.. or youtube it). Remove all the obvious torx screws (including the kickstand) and you have clean access to the volume button board. Check this photo out: http://www.parts4repair.com/product_images/j/521/htc_hd7_volume_flex_cable_01__71999_zoom.jpg
All you have to do is disconnect the ribon cable (lift up the little plastic lock) and you can take out the whole button board. The board itself is a simple circuit. I pealed back the black tape (from both ends so I don't have to remove the tape completely) and cleaned the two silver button cones (the actual metallic cup thing that gives you the clicking) and the circuit board. When you put the tape back (check you alignment), just don't tighten the fabric so much the button is anchored too tightly to the board. Slip the puppy back in and you're good to go. Fixed my sticking/nonclicking/nonworking volume buttons.
Otherwise, last I checked, the button board is around $15 off the bay.
EDIT: might want to consider upgrading the microSD card too. I took open the buttom cover too much on one HD7 and the little clips eventually broke off. Just a thought.
Well I got pissed off with it changing volume up/town at will so a my one is broken now ...
Maybe I'll buy new one.
Well, my Home button is broken so the fingerprints won't work.
Looking for a replacement i found out that there are 2 types of it.
Not sure which one to buy...
It's the same one...
Only the back of the button is bended in one of them and on the other u must bend it.

Don't replace the home button: It's a common problem of the Mi5 to have the fingerprint scanner (and capacitive touch) of the home button stop working after a while.
All you have to do is remove the back glass, the plastic cover over the bottom PCB, and unplug and replug the ribbon cable of the home button (located near the top centre of the pcb). Reboot and everything should work fine. I've done this yesterday, the second time since I got the Mi5 a year ago.

Actually, my button got broken (there's a crack).
But thanks for the advice!
As title says, my power button piece some how broke off and I haven't really found a solution for it.
You can still turn on/ turn off the phone by having a thin rod or something and pressing it against the small button inside of the frame.
Tried looking for "plastic pieces for moto g6 play" and couldn't really find anything.
Thanks.
EDIT: I've lost the plastic piece
