Introduction:
First of all thanks to ShaDrac for this amazing driver!
Hi,
this is a new series of my roms. It´s basicly a vanilla rom, which can be customized with cabs that I provide. The special think about this rom is, that it´s running with ShaDrac's great Extendir filter driver. If you were using a lite rom and installed several apps, the rom can become very slow, espcially if you install sth. like Manila which puts a lot of files into your windows folder. With Extendir you will have the following advantages:
-The rom is more customizable, you decide what you you want and what not
-No rom update need is needed for bug fixing, just update the bugged package
-No performance decrease if you install big packages, the boot time of this rom is even faster (with alle provided packages installed) than my cooked roms
-According to the author of this driver, the device should have a better battry life
-more to come
Of course there are some disadvantages:
-Ther´s no compression of the files like in cooked roms (XPR, LZX etc.) that means, that the storage consumption is much higher than a cooked rom.

How to install:
First download the "Basisrom", "Base Packages" and "Preset installer", extract the "Base Packages" and put it into your root directory of your storage card e.g "\Speicherkarte\Extendir". Put he preset installer in the same directory. Create a folder called "Presets".

If you´ve done this put your card into your device. Then flash the "Basis", after you calibrate your screen, the preset installer will appear, hit next until you see the overview of all packages. Now choose the packages that you want to install (the checkboxex have to be black, not grey if you select them) and hit install. Please reaf the Package WiKi in the third post before installing a package! For a german explanation, visit this forum!

Please Read before installing!
Package WiKi/Dependeny Overview:
This is an overview of the standard packages. You have to install the all packages in the "Basis" folder, don´t skip one of them!
If there´s a bracket like "()" after the name of a package, you have to install the named packge e.g "Opera Mini 4 (Java)", this means, that you have to install Java if you want to use Opera Mini 4. Another example "HTC Kamera (Fullscreen Player)" means that you have to install Fullscreen Player to run the HTC Kamera properly.
If there´s a bracket like "[]" after the name of a package, you don´t have to install the named package in the bracked seperately e.d "Manila 2.5 [HTC Album], this means that HTC Album is already included into the Manila 2.5 package.
There are several reasons why I don´t include or exclude a package so please don´t ask to leave e.g HTC Album from Manila 2.5.

Ok, schöner neuer (relativ leerer) Thread, neuer User (ich) mit grade frisch zugelegtem xperia.... Dann wollen wir doch mal ^-^
Also, ganz von Vorn. Ich bin neu hier, ich habe grade mein allererstes HTC-gebautes Gerät (mein X1) erhalten und ich hab noch keinerlei Ahnung vom ROM flashen. Ich hätte gerne ein (bevorzugt deutsches) ROM das etwas besser aussieht als das xperia standard. Manila/Touchflo wäre super, und wenn auch noch der Panel Manager funktioniert wäre das richtig gut.
Ich suche außerdem nach ner Verbesserung für den Empfang - im Moment bekomm ich nur ein relativ lausiges Signal.
Will irgendwer hier diesem Totalneuling helfen?

Hallo, damit das auch so bleibt in diesem Thread lies dich doch mal in diesen (Hard-SPL) Thread und dann in diesen (Tutorial Flashen) ein. Danach flashe mal dieses (v4.0 final) ROM und Du du hast zu 90 Prozent das was Du wolltest.

Das 6.1-ROM hab ich etwa ein halbes Jahr lang benutzt, da ich kein adäquates deutsches6.5-ROM gefunden habe, welches meinen Ansprüchen genügt. Es gibt deutsche 6.5-ROMs, aber alle haben irgendwelche kleinen Probleme bzw. es werden zu viele Releases in zu kurzer Zeit gemacht, so dass man permanent am flashen ist.

I used the 6.1-ROM for about half a year, since there wasn't a german 6.5-ROM which suited my wishes. There are though a lot of german 6.5-ROMs, but most of the have smaller bugs and/or are released many times in few days, resulting in flashing every third day.

I´m testing, testing and testing. My goal is to achieve a rom, which can be updated with new manila packages etc. without cooking/flashing a new rom e.g you have Manila 2.5 and want to update to Manila 2.5 with landscape support, you don´t have to flash a whole new rom, you just need to install my updated packages, therefore I need to know which packages should be cooked in into the base rom and which packages should be installed via the preset installer.
Welches Build wied denn dein Rom haben ? Ich hab sehr viel Probleme ab 23506. Dieses lief mit deiner V4 am Besten.

the way you made customisation easy with your v4 was great (rom konfigurator, advanced config) , but this sounds even better
würde gut aussehen nur leider startet bei mir der Installer wie beschrieben nicht.
extendir auf speicherkarte angelegt weiteres verzeichniss geht dann mit setups weiter.
rom wird installiert - justierung wird ebenfalls abgefragt nur dann fängt der installer nicht an.
Kann jemand helfen.

mmkwiatkowski, Super herzlichen Dank. Hast du mal gedacht eine cleanere Version zu kochen. z.B. James Bond Film ist ja schon mehr als überholt, ohne Opera9, VC, eigentlich nur die Basics, den Rest könnt ja jeder nachinstallieren und bei Updates ist man flexibler.

Eigentlich habe ich an so etwas nicht gedacht, da ich das ROM nur für mich mal gemacht habe.
Dann wollte ich das ROM anderen nicht vorenthalten und habe es doch zum Download angeboten.
Aber wenn Interesse besteht, kann ich mich ran machen und etwas mehr Zeit investieren. Ich koche was zusammen. Es macht ja auch Spaß.

Glaub ich dir, auch wenn sich dann der Erfolg einstellt. Es hat ja jeder verschiedene Bedürfnisse und mit einem ziemlich cleanen Rom, kann sich dann jeder was zusammen basteln. Und was im Rom nicht eingekocht ist, geht halt durch deinstallation wieder weg. Glaub aber, dass ich jetzt auf deinen Tread in der PPC Welt switchen, nicht dass wir wieder zwecks der Sprache Ärger kriegen.

To your questions:
Yes, all data get lost. You must make a backup, for example, with "PIM Backup".
I have already fixed the mistake with the file "compime.dll".

It would be realy great if some optimisation could be done to remove most of the unneccessary items such as the bond trailer or all the other media stuff.
Which .NET Version do you have?
It would be great to have at least 3.5 because today this is required for many applications allready (since a couple of days a 3.7 Version is available) and it is faster than the standard version

Wenn Du das Handy mit der Tastensperre sperrst und dann angerufen wirst, dann kommt der Anruf so an. Du mußt nichts einstellen.

Ist der "Ringtone-Bug" wirklich ein Bug? Wenn das Verzeichnis "Klingeltöne" (auf meiner SD-Card im Vereichnis "My Documents" in "Ruftöne" umbenannt wird, kann ich die darin enthaltenen Ruftondateien auswählen.
Is "Ringtone bug" is really a bug? If the directory "Klingeltöne" (on my SD card in Vereichnis "My Documents" in "Ruftöne" is renamed, I can select ringtonefiles contained therein.
i mean, if you kong press on a mp3-file in fileexplorer, you can choose "Als Klingelton verwenden". But this doesn't work. you must rename the folder "Klingeltöne" in phone to "ruftöne", then it works. thank you for this tip!

Ist es, die verbinden nicht automatisch mit dem Internet.
Ich habe ein FIX gemacht, daß dies beseitigt. (hier)

Tips and additional info (I´m going to translate that later)
* Bei bestimmten Einstellungen unter Advanced Config müsst ihr ca. 10 sek. warten bevor ich den Neustart bestätigt, bei welchem Tweak dies nötig, erfährt ihr in Advanced Config selbst.
* Stabilität und Akkulaufzeit standen bei diesem Rom im Vordergrund. Es ist daher nicht das schnellste Custom Rom sondern ein ausgewogenes welches ein Gleichgewicht zwischen Performance, Ram Verbrauch und Akkulaufzeit herstellt.
* Das Rom hat im Vergleich zu meinen anderen Roms verhältnismäßig viele 3rd Party Programme. Durch meine neue, sehr aufwendige, "clever storage management" Methode habe ich es geschafft, dass das Rom wenig Speicherplatz verbraucht und daher nehezu 335mb frei verfügbarer Speicherplatz zur Verfügung steht.
* Da ich den X1 Panel Manager etwas veränder habe, müsst ihr nach jedem neu installiertem Panel einen softreset machen damit das Panel funktioniert. Am Besten ihr installiert all eure Panelsauf einmal und macht den den soft Reset.

ROM is not useable for me. After flashing all seems to be ok - calibrating touch and so on. But, after first reboot all is like after HardReset. Calibrating touch again ?!?

screen is flickering on first boot while calibrating screen
annoying random popup on the first 2 hours of using your rom "sind sie wirklich sicher?". pretty pointless when you can only select "ok"
phone crashes when selecting "Bilder"-"Alle Bilder anzeigen" in titanium (could be related to vast amount of pics)
no chome editor included - at least i couldn´t find it
opera mini shortcut doesn´t start it directly, you have to select it again in javavm to start it
performance is real sluggish, but you mentioned that already
quite tough battery drain (could be imagination)
otherwise, everything else i testet worked (youtube, igo8, messaging, internetbrowsing...)
back to v3.3.4 again... looking forward for a more advanced release of v4

Your ROM is the first in a long time, i've used longer than 10 minutes.
It's not completely ready for everyday use, but imo the BEST WiMo+Manila ROM out there!
From the WinMo 6.5.1 view, flawless except the indicators for A and FN of the hardware Keyboard. They're neccesary.
The LEO Port ist very good, although not perfect in terms of speed and some minor things (first I think of is the lack of translation, when you press the clock on the homescreen).
Of course the lack of landscape support is the biggest problem, but that's HTC's issue and not yours. The new HTC dialer is a blast!
I'm currently using your V 3.4.3 as my everyday ROM, and I hope that I get an update for that soon.
Have you thought about making a ROM with Manila 2.1.19? (New official TP2 Update) This + WM6.5 could work like a charm...

Build 23071 have "Release quality", very stabil, fast, touch friendly with the old startmenu.

Habe die Beta heute den ganzen Tag drauf gehabt muss sagen sie läuft sehr ordentlich und recht stabil für eine Beta.. was natürlich sofort auffällt ist der fehlende landscape support der natürlich am manila port liegt, nicht an dir! außerdem ist mir aufgefallen das ich Mina Jebel Ali nicht aus dem Wettertab löschen kann, es ist standartmäßig drin! ansonsten, wie immer gute arbeit mach weiter so!

Hi, the RAM usage must be something about 45% - I don't know how to reduce it more, I have already deleted all unimportant languages (german and english are inside, the rest isn't in the ROM) out of the manila package and reduced it so for lots of hundrets of files and my manila is cfc compressed and it feels fast in my eyes.
You can set up your settings in the setting menu, there must be connections ("Verbindungen") and there you can set up everything or you can search for a cab with the connection setup.

Kann mir jemand bestätigen, dass bei dieser Rom die Youtube Videos auf High Quality nicht ruckeln? Bisher hat das nämlich nur die Rom von YYYYY geschafft. Wenn das hier auch ohne ruckeln läuft, werde ich die Rom hier mal anschauen.

Hey i tried to download the rom 4 times, and every download was broken because of the sloooow server (60kb/s ?)
could someone upload the rom to another server (e.g. rapidshare, uploaded...)

its the fastest ROM at the moment in my opinion and plays youtube videos on "high quality" without any lag.
but maybe "Xkan's Topaz V1.07" is as fast as MrRuschs "TOuch X 10.9.1" or faster...

Xkan, this is one of the best ROMs I ever had on my X1. Good job.
Has anybody tried to install Opera mini - I am trying the 5.0 beta2. But I am not able to run it. When I start up OM5 b2 I get the following error:
First Installing and the follwong JAva exception:
"Could not store resource RecordStore information has been broken:java.io.EOFException: requested to read 94 bytes. but 0 bytes read."
Any idea?

Where did you found that bug? I can open USB to PC in the settings and everything seems to work...
